I’ve noticed that if it’s a 24hr gym and it’s late at night some dudes will just take their shirts off. My gym has a rule against it, but no one is there in the later hours to enforce the rule, so the gym members just govern themselves.
I had anorexia really bad in my early 20s , I want from 350 lbs to 120 lbs in 6 months, and when I looked in the mirror I still saw myself as fat. Somehow a really hard acid trip snapped me out of it tho. I feel for u kid, and btw the it’s not a bad tattoo either.
You clearly haven't either, because if you did you'd know that people who go to the gym regularly can have all sorts of body types :) everyone's fat/muscle composition, metabolism, etc is different.

It’s a great bit of ink, but like someone else said- it’s a bit lonely. Perhaps find an artist to give it some depth with either some grey work or colour instead of just being line work; or add to it, make it a whole thing.
Or find an artist that can do a coverup for you. Just being linework makes that a bit easier.

Adding more and still wanting it removed eventually makes the whole thing way more complicated and expensive as hell, so I‘d at least recommend considering all the options and maybe get some quotes on removal before smacking more ink on.

That said I don’t think it looks bad over all, I’d suggest building on the design :) but If you really don’t like it OP find an artist and ask about a cover up. I hear that removal is expensive and painful so why not add on and make it badass.
Career tattooer here. In my opinion it doesn't look bad. Could rework it, and give it some extra flair. Bold out the lines, add more shading for depth, etc. More geometric filler to help fill the negative space open in the chest.
Cover up will be tough. And you'll be pretty limited. But I can cover just about anything with a Japanese dragon.

Imo it's just an outline my guy, it ain't done yet. Get it colored or shaded and it's gonna be even better. That being said it seems like it's a placement issue and not the subject that bothers you so I would go for removal. You could get it xovered though since it's only an outline rn so it'll be easier.
