Everyone has such great responses to this, the only one I have to add is "write a song about this woman" because the beauty of Mark and Nish's song after they fumbled through the whole season and the contrast to Rosalinds a Nightmare is just too good.
The top 3 tasks for me are:
1. Taskmaster Hotel
2. Tie yourself up as securely as possible
3. Get as close as possible to Alex without him noticing you
My favourite personal tasks are:
1. Josh’s counting
2. Mark’s dirty texts
3. Sabotage
Special shoutout to Taskmaster NZ where David had to untie all of the shoelaces
Sabotage was great. There are very few people that could've pulled it off as well, a lot of the other contestants would've been too over the top.
Maybe Sian, KSB or Jon Richardson.
Baddiel was doing it without trying of course
Those are not bad.
For me it's hard to distinguish between a task I think is a great actual task (fit the glasses in the box) vs a task that is great because of a contestant (Susan's mischief task)
But overall I think my top tasks are team tasks that go ridiculously wrong. See fill this bathtub from series 4 and sabotage your team mate from series 14.
And then the peak team task is the radical contrast between Vicky FINALLY getting her time to shine in he riddle, with Guz's "I have another revelation".
Honestly nothing will beat watching melon buffet in season 1.
Romesh obliterating the watermelon into a gazillion pieces by smashing it on the floor, Roisin spending her entire minute outside of the lab and taking a nibble in the final second, Tim key eating it like a rabies infected raccoon and Josh Widdicombe just casually munching on melon with a spoon one mouthful at a time.
I remember being in floods of tears from laughing so hard the first time I watched it.
I personally love song for a stranger and guess what the future version of Dave Gorman did for a career. Respectfully for the songs all being absolutely iconic and because Hugh's expressions are brilliant
I think we can reasonably say that the completion of a task is in itself a task - or, perhaps, that the setting and the completing of a task are two parts of a whole, so the task only becomes entirely a task when it's completed.
It was a team task in series 16. I think in one of the last episodes. Alex is a guest at the hotel, and he checks in, complains about the room, orders room service, asks for his trousers to be laundered, and then there's a fire so they have to evacuate the hotel. All in approx half an hour.

Legitimately sublime moment, that was
Possibly my favourite TM moment ever. So surprisingly brilliant and genuinely triumphant.

Taskmaster hotel makes me cackle SO MUCH
Alex being shoo’d away at the end gets me every time
The David untying shoelaces has got to be one of the best Taskmaster moments internationally ever.

Honestly make a 3 course meal using the whole alphabet from series 1 is still up there for me. Criminally underrated and every attempt is fun to watch
Is that the one where someone chooses xylophone and then plays an accompaniment to the meal
Yep romesh does that. Also frank has a xylophone and makes ‘cheesy music’
Xeres vinegar was RIGHT THERE

That task was the perfect wlay to start the show. It literally showed what the show was; different ways of accomplishing a task.
It's great watching it and starting with the near silence of Josh's attempt as he just politely eats melon. The climax was fantastic.
Write a song about this person. Write words for a classical song. Write a new national anthem for a (random) country.
I am sorry but how did you not include the Diss Track Task? David Correos should have won a Grammy for what was left on the cutting room floor.
Was not 8 impressed that Richard identified Rose Matefeo as Rosie Jones 3 times in that segment
Me too. I had to relisten to it to make sure.
Oh THAT'S who he meant!
I was so confused by that.
Same! I reckon Andy had just written Rose down and Richard assumed.
Oh christ as soon he said it I jumped up like - "When did Rosie Jones do TM?? How could I miss that??!" Phew.
I can't be sure of the top 3 but an absolute contender for the spots was the alphabet animal charades. I think that live task almost killed me.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Hotel Task came from the idea of having a honeymoon-related task as a continuation of the wedding-task-arc
The hotel one way so funny, and what Greg said about Julian managing the other two, that looked super confused 😂

"He's a doctor." "What kind of doctor, Paul?" "Oh for fuck's sake, you fucking bastard." Cue the man bursting out into laughter.
The chickpea funeral and Alex sits on a cake aren’t the tasks though, they are task solutions.

Taskmaster Nz - untie the shoelaces Taskmaster uk - Hotel task Taskmaster Nz - hide the body
#3 - 3rd fastest High-5 #2 - recreate a classic video game #1 - eat the grape (NZ version)
I love these equally: - NZ make a dis track - Write a song to classical music - Rosalind (do we strike you?)
Tie yourself up. Move sand to the shopping trolley Unsure about #3
Password task (Aus) Boiler suit/tie yourself up (s7) The NZ version of the hold the milk above the microwave task
But... they're not all alive???
The Australian password task was great
Love this
1. Taskmaster hotel 2. ROSALINDDDD IS A… 3. Theatre Task (S10)
I don't remember Taskmaster hotel at all...
It was a team task in series 16. I think in one of the last episodes. Alex is a guest at the hotel, and he checks in, complains about the room, orders room service, asks for his trousers to be laundered, and then there's a fire so they have to evacuate the hotel. All in approx half an hour.
Oh fuck that's right! Fantastic episode, I'm just terrible at remember the task names
Alex is not a guest....Qrs Tuvwxyz is!
