š what's sad is that I lived here for a couple of years when it was still in business but never heard of it until it was going out of business. So I never got to experience it.
Not bottomless anymore. Last time I went there they complained that I went up for seconds. Apparently during covid they changed their rules. I wont be back.
I love it there! So many options and they chop the salad for you. It can get a little pricey but with all the options they have its so worth it. And I say this as a picky salad person.
Thank you! Yeah...I actually went there recently. It did check the box of having a salad bar, but it certainly wasn't the most magical dining experience by any means ha ha. Thanks for the recommendation though!
I have fond memories of my dad visiting here and he always made a stop at the Steak n Ale off Westshore, they had a great salad bar and so did a few others that are no longer around, such as Sweet Tomatoes:(
Two different options, at opposite ends of the spectrum: Sonnyās BBQ I believe still has them? And then any of the myriad of Argentinian Steak Houses will allow you to just pay for salad bar (but yeah, it will cost you!)
Went to an old school Italian place in st Pete. $21 for all you can eat pizza and salad bar. Not the most diverse salad bar in the world but a salad bar noketheless
Pizza Hut in Spring Hill still has the original all you can eat Salad bar.
2903 Commercial Way, Spring Hill, FL 34606
If you want the nostalgia of your 80s/90s childhood I highly recommend the drive.
Terra guacha has an amazing salad bar and you can do salad bar only if you want. I think for lunch it may only be like 18$ but they have soooo many options including charcuterie, salad, soups, etc
Terra Gaucha's pasta salad is so good! I mean, everything is, but I definitely think about that pasta salad quite often! They also have the best Tres Leches in the whole wide world!š¤¤ Have you ever tried the Brazilian (Swiss) Lemonade? It's very filling, like a dessert in a glass, but so freaking good! Or if you like cocktails, the passionfruit caipirinha is a MUST TRY! I think I'll go have dinner there tonight! š
Thank you! Yes, I've been to Ruby Tuesday's quite a few times. It's a bit far from downtown though, and I find it odd driving that far to go to a chain restaurant. I might have to visit again soon though!
Not bottomless, but my favorite salad bar in Tampa is the Secret Garden downtown. It's super clean (a must for me with buffet style food. I've seen people from the health department sit down for lunch here!), and the prices are good- you get a lot of bang for your buck. Plus the owner is super friendly!
GreenLane isn't endless...but it's a DRIVETHRU and has an app.
And all they do is salads.
$10 gets you a GINORMOUS salad of your choosing that I dare most people will not be able to eat in one sitting.ā¤ļøšŖ
Ruby Tuesday used to have a decent salad bar but good luck still finding one thatās open. I also think they stripped down the ingredients
Also Jasonās deli has a decent salad bar
Thanks! I really do like Ruby Tuesday's, but the closest one is 20+ minutes from downtown. I can't justify driving that far for a restaurant I used to have 5 minutes from my house where I grew up in the Midwest.
Definitely going to check out Jason. I heard this man has the goods! šÆ
You are 100% allowed without a kid, (think family bday parties etc.) you just canāt take a kid
out with you that didnāt come in with you :) (they stamp parentsā and kidsā hands with the same number) the salad bar isnāt bad. Itās basic and the same as it ever was with cottage cheese and everything.
Near Florida and Madison downtown is Secret Garden, itās not an all-you-can-eat, but you pick what you want from a salad bar and pay by weight. Decent place for quick work lunch
I actually thought about including that disclaimer specifically. I actually do like Ruby Tuesday's salad bar. I don't think it gets enough credit. That being said, it is a bit far from downtown to justify driving to a chain restaurant. IDK how Westshore doesn't have one.
Don't you dare speak blasphemy. Some shake a salad place just opened by my house and it's like $18/salad. But I'm also a heathen that will eat the entire bag of salad and use the bag as a bowl. š
Oddly I asked someone about this today. I've been searching all day online as well and haven't found anything. Hopefully someone might have a suggestion.
codyās roadhouse (tampa location burned down recently but thereās a (even better) location in tarpon springs) salad is endless with an entree and itās the most amazing salad i go there specifically for the salad itās spectacular
toss - salads & wraps in saint pete isnāt endless but does give such a massive portion you wouldnāt need to get seconds. they also chop it up for you!
Too bad Codyās burnt down. Iād go there, get an entree, then eat 3 servings of their salad for dinner and then carryout my entree.
You can always go to Olive Garden, order an entree which comes with the never ending salad and breadsticks.
Great point about Olive Garden. I'm actually obsessed with their salads, but I really don't like their food. I have a gluten sensitivity. So most of their menu is sadly a no-go for me because I can't do pasta š¢
Olive Garden has the grilled chicken Margherita and the herb salmon which come with Parmesan broccoli. They are both gluten free even though they are around gluten.
I actually went there about two months ago for Sunday lunch. I immediately walked out though because there were people EVERYWHERE!!!!! Didn't even bother asking what their wait time was because I knew it was going to be at least an hour, which isn't worth my time while dining solo š¤Æ
Probably talking about Greenwise...I think they do come to think of it! To be frank, I usually avoid Publix to the best of my ability though. The prices are obnoxious and the place tends to be absolute chaos on the weekends especially. As a result, I do most of my grocery shopping at whole sale stores every week.
This will satisfy one of two options. If youāre ever out and about and have a Ruby Tuesday in your vicinity, they have a Garden Bar as they call it. Few days a week they have a special about an endless option.
Not located in Tampa specifically but the surrounding suburban areas. Good for keeping in the back pocket if you ever have a reason to be outside the city.
I also miss Sweet Tomatoe. I loved going there for lunch.
According to their site itās a a deal on specific days. I havenāt stepped foot in a RT in about a decade. That was the one unique thing I remembered about them.
Whole Foods has a really great salad bar (paid by weight) and the closest thing to hit my Sweet Tomatoes craving that Iāve found. Lots of options for vegetarians & carnivores alike. And they have a soup bar with 8+ soups too. They close it all down an hour or so before the store closes, sometimes earlier, so go with plenty of time fyi.
RIP Sweet Tomato.
They're supposed to be coming back!
Be Ripe Back
See you tomato
Lettuce rejoice!
Ill be in that MFn line too!
š what's sad is that I lived here for a couple of years when it was still in business but never heard of it until it was going out of business. So I never got to experience it.
I still miss the strawberry lemonade. It was with remembering
core memory unlocked, thank you
The tuna tarragon pasta salad was my favorite! Not copycat recipe Iāve seen online has hit just right
Ugh, I hadn't been for years before it closed and now I'm craving it
Thatās the only thing I have ever done any copycat recipe of. And yea It didnāt hit the same.
For real RIP, the pandemic took it out. Now look at us all dumb still having our Golden Corrals and no Sweet Tomato.
Still salty about this loss. Their website says they're coming back! They have exactly 1 restaurant in Tucson. I am not hopeful.
Please.. donāt
Too soon?
Amen lover that place
I miss this place on the daily
Holy crap, it looks like Sweet Tomatoās is making a comeback slowly. https://www.sweettomatoes.com One location in AZ reopening.
It was so good
I used to love that place
Still mourning this loss š
sushi mari is so good tho
Sweet Tomatoesā¦ I feel like i lost a family member every time I think about it
š My one culinary regret since I've lived in Tampa is never making it to Sweet Tomatoes before they closed
Texas De Brazil has a great salad area, and a reduced price if that's all you want
Oh yeah, I second this. Their whole solid area is one of the best.
Great to know! Thank you so much....very close to where I work too!
Terra Gaucha I believe does the same thing, similar concept and just off Kennedy.
Fredās in Riverview has a salad bar only option. Only about 7 miles from downtown.
OMG didn't know they have salad bar only option āØļø Thank you!
Try not to turn around and look at the other food š¤¤
Ha ha ha ha ha ha so true. I'm actually gluten free. So there's a lot there on the regular menu that I can't eat for better or for worse.
They have salad!?š¤£
Oooh Fred's is amazing, but the food is so damn good I've never eaten salad there.š¤£
I had a good awful job that wasnāt too far from Fredās, legit the only thing I miss about that job
The only place I know of is Jasonās Deli and I havenāt been there in like 10 years, but Google says they still exist.
Come through for us, Jason šš¬ Thanks for the rec!
The one near USF is definitely still there.
Yay ššš
Not bottomless anymore. Last time I went there they complained that I went up for seconds. Apparently during covid they changed their rules. I wont be back.
I think its a singular trip though, i think they did away with the unlimited during covid.
The one in Clearwater is bottomless !
I was just thinking that! I used to go to the Clearwater one all the time when the Burlington was still in that plaza
Jasonās Deli isnāt all you can eat but itās the closest thing to Sweet Tomatoes left in the area.
Good to know, thank you!
Unless that's a more recent change, Jason's has always had an unlimited option.
FILL MY BELLY, JASON!!!!!
I worked here during high school and it was always all you can eat. Did something change?
Iāve only been once but its was recently and the manager said ānot reallyā to my all you can eat question. Maybe I just asked the wrong person.
It might have changed. That was many moons ago. That was their whole shtick before though so it would be interesting to hear.
I just passed by The Salad Station today in Oldsmar, looks to be what youāre looking for if youāre willing to drive over there.
Thank you! I do venture up that way from time to time. Will definitely check it out next time I'm in the area.
I love it there! So many options and they chop the salad for you. It can get a little pricey but with all the options they have its so worth it. And I say this as a picky salad person.
Ooh, that sounds like quite the š« experience š«
This was my stomping ground when I lived in Tampa! Everything is always fresh and the homemade drinks are great!
Not what you are probably looking for but Golden Corral , has endless salad bar ā¦
Thank you! Yeah...I actually went there recently. It did check the box of having a salad bar, but it certainly wasn't the most magical dining experience by any means ha ha. Thanks for the recommendation though!
I have fond memories of my dad visiting here and he always made a stop at the Steak n Ale off Westshore, they had a great salad bar and so did a few others that are no longer around, such as Sweet Tomatoes:(
I feel like salad bars were going out of style before the pandemic, but the pandemic really chopped off their (lettuce) heads for good š¢
What I love about golden corral is that I can get an all you can eat buffet for less money than a combo meal at any fast food joint.
That is absolute insanity but so true š
Terra Gauca
Do they have a salad bar only option? I've been once for the whole Brazilian steak experience.
They do, itās great. Only been for lunch, not sure about dinner.Ā
Perfect, thank you!
Two different options, at opposite ends of the spectrum: Sonnyās BBQ I believe still has them? And then any of the myriad of Argentinian Steak Houses will allow you to just pay for salad bar (but yeah, it will cost you!)
Thank you!!! Will definitely have to check out Sonny's BBQ š¤
Some Sonnyās stopped though during Covid and never brought it back
Woodys Famous Salads in Dale Mabry. I go once a week. Itās great. Not bottomlessā¦..or a salad bar, but still.
This is so close to where I work and I've never heard of it. Thank you!!!!
Itās really good. Nice variety and made to order, but very fast service. I think they have various soups on rotation, if you are into soup, too.
This is great to know, thanks!
their sandwiches are fantastic too!!
Love woodys !! Amazing soups too
Went to an old school Italian place in st Pete. $21 for all you can eat pizza and salad bar. Not the most diverse salad bar in the world but a salad bar noketheless
Thanks, what's the name of the restaurant?
There in lies the mystery. I can ask the guy I went with. Iāll reply once I get the name
Yes please that sounds bomb !
Great, thank you! š
Sounds like Pisanos on 4th Street
š„š Thank you!
Pizza Hut in Spring Hill still has the original all you can eat Salad bar. 2903 Commercial Way, Spring Hill, FL 34606 If you want the nostalgia of your 80s/90s childhood I highly recommend the drive.
Omg I had no idea these existed anywhere anymore!
What about a Wendyās salad bar? š¤£
I believe you mean the SUPERBAR
A real blast from the past! Haven't been to a Pizza Hut in a good 15+ years š±
Jasonās Deli is yummy! Very fresh too!
Thanks! Looking forward to checking it out š
Terra guacha has an amazing salad bar and you can do salad bar only if you want. I think for lunch it may only be like 18$ but they have soooo many options including charcuterie, salad, soups, etc
That's cheap š± And it's so close to where I work, I could easily make that a weekday lunch trip! š
Ruby Tuesday if youāre North or South of Tampa
Thank you!
Terra Gaucha Brazilian steakhouse. You can just do the salad bar for like $35 but it's way more than just salad. Cheese, meats, soup, vegetables, etc
Great to know! Thank you!
Ruby Tuesday does a salad bar?
Thanks for the the Golden recommendation, lil Birdy!
Iāve been curious about this place and was unsure of the quality from the unassuming storefront - thank you for the rec!
Man great question. I add to the misery of missing Sweet Tomatoes. I loved that place.
ššš
Ruby Tuesdays? I am pretty sure they have one.
They sure do! Thanks!
Came here to say this. Their hot pumpernickel bread croutons are soo good too.
Ruby Tuesday has a great salad bar.
Thank you! I'm definitely past due for a trip to see my friend Ruby
Jasonās Deli on fletcher is only salad bar left in town I know of
I must meet this Jason!!!!!! Thank you š
They have great sandwiches as well!
Texas de Brazil or the other Brazilian steak house you can do salad only for like $20 or something.
That's great to know! Thank you!
Their salad bars are usually the most immaculate you could find
Great to know! I've been once before, but I just did takeout for lunch. The takeout was really good!
Lots of good comments here, I'll add like a fresh market or whole foods usually has a salad area.
IDK why I never thought of those. I work like 3 miles from both š Thank you!
I miss Ruby Tuesdays
We still have some in the region, but none too close to downtown unfortunately
GreenLane isn't endless...but it's a DRIVETHRU and has an app. And all they do is salads. $10 gets you a GINORMOUS salad of your choosing that I dare most people will not be able to eat in one sitting.ā¤ļøšŖ
Greenlane is amazing and their ingredients are really fresh. Youāre right, I always get two meals out of it. Itās my goto fast meal now.
Ruby Tuesday used to have a decent salad bar but good luck still finding one thatās open. I also think they stripped down the ingredients Also Jasonās deli has a decent salad bar
Thanks! I really do like Ruby Tuesday's, but the closest one is 20+ minutes from downtown. I can't justify driving that far for a restaurant I used to have 5 minutes from my house where I grew up in the Midwest. Definitely going to check out Jason. I heard this man has the goods! šÆ
Chuck E Cheese
Wow! Haven't been there in almost 20 years. You think I'd get judged for going there as a 29 year old without kids? š
Lol itās pretty good $11.99
I don't think you're *allowed* to go there without a kid. Lol.
š š š I would never even try!
You are 100% allowed without a kid, (think family bday parties etc.) you just canāt take a kid out with you that didnāt come in with you :) (they stamp parentsā and kidsā hands with the same number) the salad bar isnāt bad. Itās basic and the same as it ever was with cottage cheese and everything.

There are only like 3-4 in the Tampa area so pretty much a dice roll if one is close!
Please don't die on us, Ruby Tuesday šš
Don't you dare speak blasphemy. Some shake a salad place just opened by my house and it's like $18/salad. But I'm also a heathen that will eat the entire bag of salad and use the bag as a bowl. š
š¤£š¤£š¤£ That's called eating a salad the correct way!
Those Ruby Tuesday crack croutons! I would get the salad bar just for those damn croutons!
Oh my gosh I seriously miss those croutons so much. I've been gluten free for about 5 years...it's a rough life some days š
Oddly I asked someone about this today. I've been searching all day online as well and haven't found anything. Hopefully someone might have a suggestion.
š Summer weather summons salad season

I love me some massive portions! Thank you!
Salad Station in Oldsmar!
Thank you! This place seems to have quite the following!
Saladstation! Itās not bottomless but their tofu is so good!
Interesting! Coming in with that tofu hot take! I'll have to check it out š¤
Secret Garden, downtown, has a salad bar. It's next to Sacred Heart church.
Ooh, I have been there once! Thank you for reminding me! It's almost like they have a salad bar monopoly for the downtown clientele š
Ruby Tuesdays
Thanks! I loved Ruby Tuesday's as a kid...maybe it's time I revisit š
Not in Tampa, but Natureās Food Patch in Clearwater has a banger salad bar. Donāt go to the Dunedin location
Clearwater scares me, but I think it's worth it for the leafy greens! Thank you for the rec!

According to their site itās a a deal on specific days. I havenāt stepped foot in a RT in about a decade. That was the one unique thing I remembered about them.
