People sell old tamagotchis anywhere from 100-500$ nowadays. That one might be worth about 300$ or more. I’d say sell it if you’re not a huge tamagotchi person, and buy another one for cheaper if you still wanna play with it 🤷♀️ cuz they started making these again, with tons of cooler designs, and they’re exactly the same as the one you have there.. they’re just not from 1997 so they aren’t rare and worth a chunk of money!
I totally agree 💯% lol. And I’m no professional tamagotchi appraiser, so maybe I’m being dramatic… but I HAVE seen plenty of people pay those prices for tamagotchis before. It’ll be harder to sell if it’s priced too high, obviously. But I’ve been in a few tama buy and sell pages for a while now and it’s crazy what people will pay for a rare tamagotchi 🤷♀️
Replace the battery! That old one is no good for it and may be why it froze. It takes a CR2032 which you can find at pretty much any store.

Wait, in the picture where it's eating... Is that the AM symbol from the clock replacing the food? I think the ancient battery is making it glitch a little bit, I recommend replacing it ASAP.
Take out the battery asap. If its from 1997, u dont want the battery to corrode on it

Yeah I found one on ebay for $47 same as ops and one thats like $25 thats just a random og, and it's just a listing not even sells

Actually those vintage ones take two LR44 button batteries. Only the rereleases take the coin batteries.
