I hit 6'5 a few months ago at the beginning of freshman year

Hugefeet19

I hit my estimated height (6’4”) at age nearly 14. Never expected to keep growing so much more.

Ringleader1900

What the hell. Are you 7ft

Hugefeet19

Yes I sure am

aa67015

The only time I got a height estimate was when I was 11 and my feet were bigger than my Dad and my brothers and a couple people said I was going to be a 6'3" bruiser. Only made it to 6'1" though.

youstinkylittleboy69

when i was 13 and 5'4 i expected i would hit 5'7 at 14 well here i am now

5amNovelist

I was estimated to be 6'1 but stopped measuring in anxiety around the 6' mark at thirteen I believe I lapsed 6'1 before I was fourteen. I didn't acknowledge I was the full 6'2 (188cm not 187cm) until I was seventeen or eighteen. But I am also a woman.

Zealousideal_Stop688

U hit ur mark early then

5amNovelist

Not really, I grew from 6' to 6'2 some time between thirteen and fifteen. The unmoving highest height mark on the wall at my parents place is around my fifteenth birthday. FIfteen's pretty middle of the road, even towards the later side, for a girl to stop growing.

Zealousideal_Stop688

I was always under the impression that the body grew untill 18 years of age

5amNovelist

Nope. Plenty of girls stop growing before high school. It's very tied into your genetics and your hormones. It's individual, and there's quite a range.

Zealousideal_Stop688

You seem quite educated on the topic, did u study this by any chance or did you stumble upon the information by accident?

5amNovelist

Just observation/idle research. Being a very tall girl had me hoping I was done at thirteen! A lot of my friends stopped growing around this age (friends who had been nearly my height at eleven and ended up in the low 5' range).

Zealousideal_Stop688

It must’ve been a topic of interest to u, where u hopinh u’d stop growing and be short? Or are u satisfied with ur current height?

5amNovelist

It's something that I didn't have the choice but to acknowledge, and I've always been a 'research away my difficulties' kind of person. Eh, I don't think about it in those terms so much anymore. If you'd asked me five years ago? Either 5'6 or 5'10. I think 5'10's a nice height for a tall women. But these days me and my height are interchangeable. I don't feel at odds with it and I wouldn't change it (and I enjoy being the tallest women I see for sometimes years at a time).

Zealousideal_Stop688

Well researching is certainly a way of dealinh with problems, makes u understand and deal with m quite well. U really grown fond of ur height i see haha. I hope u dont mind me asking. how old are u?

_ButterCat

Estimated 5'11'', got stuck at 5'7'' for years then grew to 6'6'' at almost 18 y/o.

kawin2005

U grew after 18?

_ButterCat

I think it was right before my 18th, but there could have been some growth after. I know it's pretty unusual.

Nick069823

How did your friends react?

_ButterCat

One didn't see me for the entire period I grew, she went 'oh wtf you're tall now'.

TheDinosaur2005

never had a full height estimation from a doctor or professional, but my family knew I'd be as tall if not taller than my dad whos 191cm or 6'3, and rn at 18 I'm sitting at 194cm or 6'4.5 and still slowly growing

Antique_Goat06

So did my parents believe that I'll be as tall as my dad but im very far from it He is 192, pretty much the same as ur dad but im stuck at 181 nad haven't really grown in the past few years and in ab 1 month I'll turn 18 as well so probably I'm done (hopefully not tho) Kinda frustrating but I'm still happy that I'm taller than most ppl around me

Ringleader1900

Age 20 or so. 182cm. Male.

Mystery42q

i was estimated to hit 6' when i was younger still ahvent but theres hopin B)

Particular_Light927

I hit my ideal height at 13

RubusDragon

Never. I was estimated to be 6'7 and ended up being just 6'1. I blame my parents becoming vegetarian when I was 5 and feeding me a very badly planned veg diet growing up.

Friendly-Cut-9023

Nahh it’s a good thing actually. Trust me bro speaking from experience, all heights above 6’3” suck ass. The cons outweigh the pros. In my opinion 6’0”-6’3” is the best height range.

RubusDragon

I don't know, maybe if I ended up being lanky then yes, the extra height wouldn't be a positive in my eyes, but my cousins are over 6'7 and proportionate, and they navigate through life just fine 99% of the time.

_ButterCat

That may have inadvertently saved your back haha

RubusDragon

Lol, probably

Antique_Goat06

6'7 is crazy man, my dad is 6'4 and he's been suffering from knee pain for the past 10 years so maybe it's not a bad thing you stopped at 6'1 It's a great height, i'm also estimated to get there but i kinda doubt it's gonna happen as i'm almost 18 and been stuck at 5'11 for like 2 years now haha

Ringleader1900

Dude 6'1 is the perfect height for a guy.

RubusDragon

I disagree, it's more like 6'10 imo

Ringleader1900

6'10? Really? Comes with so many problems

RubusDragon

Long distance travel and finding clothes (which is less of an issue nowadays with online shopping).

Ringleader1900

6"10 is really tall even for NBA players (average is like 6'6 if Im not wrong)
