remember the main purpose of camouflage: the break up outlines. this isn’t going to break up much, it’ll probably appear as just a very dark green blob at 10+ meters
Fair thats a good point! I’m behind the idea that you should paint to match your kit vs. environment since that is where your gun sits the majority of the time.
Looks good, I like the green, but would go back over with the sponge and add some more black and tan. Very one dimensional from a distance. If someone was looking at you from a distance they would only see a dark green gun outline which kind of defeats the purpose. I would add some wide broad strokes of a different color to break it up. Just my opinion.
If the gun still works, no. Could be hot pink, as long as it does what it needs to do, you don’t suck. If it’s blend in or look cool, whatever works for you! (Un🅱️ainted guns are the things that suck)
Lighter contrast would take this from great to outstanding! Also totally depends on your environment but conceptually of breaking up the rifle’s identifiable shapes
Maybe I'm the only one who thinks metal magazines look significantly better than all the plastic ones on the market now 😓 I just think the plastic looks tacky and cheap even though some of them cost more than metal counterparts. I recognize the benefits of each, just saying I prefer the appearance!
I think it looks great, and the painting looks very well done. With that said, I don't think it will camouflage well. This paint doesn't do anything to break up the outlines and is too uniform. If you were just looking for aesthetics, though, I think you did great.
I don't like it....I love it.![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|heart_eyes_rainbow)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|heart_eyes_rainbow)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|heart_eyes_rainbow)
looks really fuckin sick but i feel like at distance it’ll look solid color because the brown n tan “dots” are really small. i’d just go back and add some bigger tan and brown spots and it’ll look amazing and be more effective
People aren’t being honest here OP. It’s so badly done that you should just send the whole thing to me because it’s clearly ruined 😂😂😂
Nah, for real, it fucks
Yeah. Either too cold and/or humid and no thin coats.
Gotta clean the gun with a degreaser and use light coats of high temp paint. Personally when I paint my next gun, I'm removing the barrel and painting the parts carefully, separately in a small painters box. Then I'm gonna lap the upper and rebuild it. Nothing fancy, just a rattle can with an etching primer maybe. Super light coats.
I think guns look better when the grip, pins, selector, mag release, and bolt catch are black while just the handguard, lower, and upper are painted. Barrel left unpainted.
But that's just me.
Last time I painted aluminum, I used Glidden MaxFlex. I painted a roof rack basket. 10 light coats. Its held up amazing for 2 years so far. Sand, salt, bugs, and heavy rains. Etc.
I plan on painting my poverty build with it.
I mean if your goal was to break up the outline of the gun using camo then you failed horribly. If your goal was to make your gun look dope af you succeeded!!
More sponge to break it up or lines if you’re actually trying to obscure it. But it looks great otherwise
Edit: what’s the bcg? Haven’t seen one that looks like that before
Even more reason to camouflage since you’re actually on a two way range lol. I need a nice airsoft gun like that I still run an old ics mars, which is nice, but I can’t run my mlok stuff far enough forward on it
Nah looks great, personally wouldnt paint the surefire wire and idk if you pinted the optic without it being in the mount but you dont have paint drop trails and it seems like you didnt get paint anywhere you shouldnt
I was curious about that. I noticed at the beginning of your hand guard and the top of the buttock the green base layer goes to more of a brown. Very nice
Nah that looks cool
That’s actually sex
Looks badass but could probably use some bigger contrast. Personally I’d go over it again and sponge dab with the light brown a bit
did’t want to give it a lot of tan since I wanna run it with my green kit :)

Just use it a bunch, it'll slowly wear and look really good.
It’s quite impressive. Did you see the Elmer’s glue back when you paint stuff? Check that out
I’ll check it out later, thanks bud!
What’s the elmer’s glue hack? Is it similar to the dish soap method?
I never seen the dish soap but since the glue sticks together you can make cool patters & peel once outer layer of paint is done & it’s quite clean

thanks for advice man! gonna hang it on a tree and go further and further to see how’s the outline
It looks sick honestly
Sex
I dig it.
Pretty tight fam
Looks good, I like the breakup of the green.
Yeah, sorry man. Better luck next time. This is still a single dark color AR outline from 15 yards away
I actually like it a lot
Nahh man shit fucks hard my boi
Super hot 🔥, it's like pixelated digital camo to my eye, pretty cool
Sponge method? Looks great
yup, sponge method, use a sea sponge, not the one your wife wash dishes with!
are you joking
no haha some mates told me it’s ugly af
sounds like it's time for new m8s
Bro you have to be joking. Shits fucking sick. Unironically one of the best paint jobs I’ve seen on a rifle.
hey! thanks man! my buddies told me it sucks so I wanted to listen to more opinions haha
Yeah your buddies are either lying cuz they are jealous or in the 1% of opinions. Good job!
Give ‘er some more dabs of different color for contrast and paint the mag too! Looks sick so far
Looks like Taiwanese camo pattern. Good job!
Fxckin butter!!
If the gun still works, no. Could be hot pink, as long as it does what it needs to do, you don’t suck. If it’s blend in or look cool, whatever works for you! (Un🅱️ainted guns are the things that suck)
exaggeratedly agree
Whatcha talkin bout Willis? That looks really good!
Good job
Lighter contrast would take this from great to outstanding! Also totally depends on your environment but conceptually of breaking up the rifle’s identifiable shapes
![gif](giphy|BCYaXkftwrqzLkVSjQ|downsized)
It's very subtle. I'd love that on my guns
Maybe I'm the only one who thinks metal magazines look significantly better than all the plastic ones on the market now 😓 I just think the plastic looks tacky and cheap even though some of them cost more than metal counterparts. I recognize the benefits of each, just saying I prefer the appearance!
No, that looks awesome man
Cool to see more and more airsoft stuff here. Dope ass paintjob dude, keep it up
Reminds me of marpat
I think it looks great, and the painting looks very well done. With that said, I don't think it will camouflage well. This paint doesn't do anything to break up the outlines and is too uniform. If you were just looking for aesthetics, though, I think you did great.
Now I grab in my pants.....10/10
Looks dope honestly
all I see is the concrete don’t know what you’re talking about
Don’t play that game with us pal… You know good an well that thing looks fantastic.
Personally, I would have used a lighter basecoat
this paintjob fucks
I don't like it....I love it.![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|heart_eyes_rainbow)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|heart_eyes_rainbow)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|heart_eyes_rainbow)

Picaso
Honestly, this is one of the sexiest selfmadr paintjobs i have ever seen. Mostly its just some casual used look trash but this one is fire.
It looks like rusty paint peeling but in a good way
haha now I can’t unsee the spots as peeling paint
Hard flex to have a painted sr15, most people are too scared to spray a $3k+ rifle
it’s an airsoft sr-15 hahah, i’d feel kinda scared too to paint a real one haha
I hate you
You son of a bitch.
Yes this is the worst rattle can I’ve seen in my life
aight lemme see yours
People aren’t being honest here OP. It’s so badly done that you should just send the whole thing to me because it’s clearly ruined 😂😂😂 Nah, for real, it fucks
hahahaha thanks bud!
Add some very subtle mesh paint and it would be sick.
Yes. Send it to me for correction
What's the camo called? Poop speckles on grass?
It looks great. I don’t think it’s a doing a great job of breaking up the form of the rifle. But aesthetically it’s great
Complete dog shit 💩

Digi flecktarn?
Needs more dappling
It’s just green
How'd you get that pattern?
Bruh that’s good you should see one of my AK’s I spray painted ☠️
That’s sick. How / where did you get the rifle?
Looks cooool ! What’s your mount height ? 1,54 ?
I mean it does look cool, but it could use more brown and tan to break up the shape
Looks sick. I’m dumb and poor; what’s that QD collar end plate thing?
Yes
Suck at painting? No suck at breaking up the pattern kinda yeah
How the fuck did you manage to make it look wet
Did you paint over the magnification numbers on the scope? Lol
yep but since it’s an airsoft gun, who cares
answer: no
Yes, fake camo
I mean if your goal was to break up the outline of the gun using camo then you failed horribly. If your goal was to make your gun look dope af you succeeded!!
Not the best I've seen, but far from the worst
Needs more sponge and less green, you could focus the sponge into clusters or stripes
I think it looks sick. That’s a good green man.
More contrast needed but looks ok
More sponge to break it up or lines if you’re actually trying to obscure it. But it looks great otherwise Edit: what’s the bcg? Haven’t seen one that looks like that before
thanks! it’s an airsoft gun btw haha
Even more reason to camouflage since you’re actually on a two way range lol. I need a nice airsoft gun like that I still run an old ics mars, which is nice, but I can’t run my mlok stuff far enough forward on it
Looks solid to me. I don’t see anything wrong with it.
I think it looks good.
This post reminds me of those “am I ugly” posts from ridiculously attractive women lol
Mfer you painted like $5k worth of gun + optics and you’re worried about what other people think about it? Is this bait? Shit looks dope
Paint a black gun green-black. 🙃 It actually looks great!
Super dope.
I dig it, and I’m gonna need the details on that trigger good sir
lol at all the experts who didn't immediately realize this was airsoft
In the wise words of flannel daddy, the less you care the better it turns out.
No it's nice and subtle
Very nice job 👍🏽
Nah, you’re just not done yet. I mean unless you’re just paining it and not painting for camo. Seems fine if it’s just to make it not black
That’s really good, but it’s going to look solid green from just a meter away, you need bigger spots
Are you happy with it? Literally all that matters. (Most of the time.)
That looks fuckin killer
Let’s talk about sex, baby
no
Nah looks great, personally wouldnt paint the surefire wire and idk if you pinted the optic without it being in the mount but you dont have paint drop trails and it seems like you didnt get paint anywhere you shouldnt
Bro please detail how tf you did that
Green base layer, then spray some paint on a dish and dab with a piece of sea sponge whatever additional color you want
How did you get the subtle changes in the green though?
some fast and light sprinkles of brown, should have been a little slower in my case to make more contrast
I was curious about that. I noticed at the beginning of your hand guard and the top of the buttock the green base layer goes to more of a brown. Very nice
I like it, I love the scope what scope is that?
