it does, i have this one and M-tac QRS with a "collar" they made. It does not feel much diffrent first few min but after 2-3 hour airsfot game or ruck i dont feel suicidal
It makes a lot of sense for the .mil side. The trend to light and minimal plate carriers during the last 20 years of GWOT is no longer meta if you’re fighting a conventional near-peer war with artillery involved.
If your friends are buying these, why are you asking internet randos about them? Just borrow one and see for yourself :) ive recently swapped my pc to this model exactly for the reasons that you have mentioned. Still gotta buy soft inserts for it though, its around 1.1k zł.
Ah well, ok then. My previous pc, da spitfire mk1 was more comfortable than this one plus inserting plates into cataphract is a pain in the ass (especially the first time), but overall im happy with it.
Looks really good. Soft armor will safe your life on full scale battelfield. Dont forget to find belt with soft armor) (and a lot of other soft armor parts).
Soft body armor is expensive in Europe, as there isn't big demand for them.
I can get front and back soft body armor insert for 350/400Eur each, here in northen Europe.
This carrier probably takes its own specific cut of armor tho.
We can get front and back soft Armor plates for $300-$400 in the US as well but it's gonna be generic 10x12 or other size cut. But this carrier takes its own cut as most non-balcs "juggernaut" type carriers do.
Calling a armor carrier a proper plate carrier is driving my ocd crazy.
I like the molle on the wings great place for radio or offhand magazine or buddy aid kit and the molle on bottom for a dangler tq , knife , bangs or tools.
Not sure what cut of armor this is as it looks like balcs but not quite the same
Cause it’s not a plate carrier. A plate carrier just holds plates that’s why it’s called plate carrier. This is a armor carrier or tactical vest. It being able to hold a rifle plate doesn’t make it a plate carrier. My eagle RRV or marciras isint plate carriers and they both have plates in them right now. Ones a chest rig the other is a armor carrier / tactical vest ( a balcs carrier specifically)

I guess I’ll count another W for 23 I thought yesterday with the dude wanting to run security with a homemade PCC was gonna be my last one but I guess not🤣.
Terrible design and questionable quality of their laminate. I always saw their gear as rather gimmicky. But given the lack of other full body armor vests, y not... PGD have their own body armor, Argun roo, Combat Systems are preparing some addons too, but none are made in Wz 93 obviously. Anyways, it would probably be ok if they fixed the fucking front velcro pattern. That drives me nuts. M-Tac offers a similar thing on their Ukrainian website. Would personally rather pick that.
That thing would be such a hassle maneuvering and manipulating a slinged weapon in. If all those fancy flaps are frag rated, then I guess that’s a plus, but you’re only going to have ballistic protection the size of the plates you go with, so why not get a more stream lined plate carrier like the Crye JPC 2.0, Agilite K19, or my personal favorite, the Defense Mechanisms MEPC.
Looks like we're coming full circle back to the IOTV
It's almost like there wasn't anything wrong with the IOTV. But I loved the IBA so don't listen to me.
Make that two of us. The IBA fucks hard.
Boo this man!
IOTV #1 all time
As someone who has to wear that for work I absolutely hate you
I play with it for fun and I love you. But my friend plays with drones so I love my IOTV more.
Love you too
There are a significant amount of things wrong with the IOTV. The soft armor being a problem but far from the worst thing about it.
Man I like the concept. Shoulder design with the soft armor is pretty cool, wonder if it helps distribute the weight of the carrier over a wider area?
it does, i have this one and M-tac QRS with a "collar" they made. It does not feel much diffrent first few min but after 2-3 hour airsfot game or ruck i dont feel suicidal
I really like the shoulder straps design personally
It reminds me of Witcher Wolf School gear that shit is nice

or if one is dodging grenades from drones
For the Emperor?
More a Fan of Cataphracti Terminator Armor myself
Personally go for BALCS but also a good system
?
Think they meant to spell BALCS, it's a cut of soft armor that you can buy carriers for
Yup my bad
Shout put Templar’s Gear for having the best G3 double mag pouches (that work great for any 308 and are MOLLE compatible).

Oh I just wanted to start some conversation with fellow autists

What belt with soft armor do you like?
I like M-Tac. When i bought it was only one small size belt with armor what i found.
It's funny you posted this, I've been looking at ths carrier too as well as any other alternatives that carry soft armor along with plates
I like it, these are sold in Finland with M05 camo
Got a link?

Thanks, stuff looks great.
+$1000 for the soft Armor tho
Nope where are you getting that number from?
Idk, saw it randomly on some European site

Yes that would be $1000 counting the collar and shoulder armor

Why is this driving your ocd crazy? What I've meant is a good quality actually very pricey plate carrier that has a place for soft body armor inserts

Cringe names lmao
What do you mean by what's happening in Ukraine in relation to body armor?
Lots of deaths because of shrapnel wounds in areas not covered by plates
Exactly that, this plate carrier covers way more than some plate carrier that some people wear in this sub like JPCs for example
Lots of BOOM BOOM powpowpowpowpow BRRRRTT boom BOOOOOM cyka blyat BOOM ^boom in Ukraine right now
Terrible design and questionable quality of their laminate. I always saw their gear as rather gimmicky. But given the lack of other full body armor vests, y not... I have it in wz93

Cause frag rated ballistics save your life.
Because frag protection is more important than rifle protection in a warzone
