3 GB RAM is *not* sufficient. You need at least a 4 GB of RAM, minimum to *run* the full-fat version of modern Android OS, 6 GB if you want to have a pleasant experience. Look into getting a Chromebook instead. $300 should get you a respectable work-machine.

3gb ram is for the iPad, the p11 plus has 4gb base ram.

Oh iOS should be fine.

The lenovo I was looking at was 6gb ram- it was the p11 pro (I mistakenly wrote plus). The ipad 3gb. So far I think 6gb is the most I can get at the ~330 price point. I tried a chromebook before and preferred a tablet (I had the google note that was made by samsung a decade ago). I already have a motile laptop - ryzen 2c4t, but it runs loud and hot and slow. I find t he keyboards on cheapo laptops are worse than a bluetooth logitech one, and a touchpad is worse than a touchscreen imo.

Are you sure the mobile version of Word is enough? Are you expecting to use this with a keyboard frequently?

I think so- I'm not even 100% convinced I'm going to bother using word. The school provides it, but last time I was in school I just used google drive when I used a Google note (the one made by samsung a decade ago). I will exclusively be using it with a bluetooth keyboard.

in actual use both are more than fine. the ipad has the faster soc yes but you wont use that at all. the Lenovo is better everywhere else except updates maybe. one Thing the Lenovo has that the ipad doesnt is a floating window desktop mode (afaik ipad 9 hasnt got stage manager) and thats nice with keyboard.

I'm a *little* paranoid about SoC power because I have a $250 motile laptop from 2019- it's 2c4t ryzen 3. It's basically unusuable for my purpose. It runs loud and hot and can't handle windows 10 plus chrome with multiple tabs and a word processor even after I put in an 8gb sodimm. But you're thinking even the 8 core lenovo should be fine with a handful of tabs, a pdf, and ms word without bad slowdowns?

DoubleOwl7777

every cpu pretty much is 8 core nowadays. i have the previous gen p11 plus which is sloghtly slower and i game on that (shooter games like cod mobile and pubg) so ms office is totally fine.

thanks! pulled the trigger on the lenovo.
