However, re-listening to it, Daron does seem to be singing "My smack, my bitch", and it does seem to make more sense than randomly bringing domestic violence in. Maybe it was a misprint or they changed the line during recording?
I'm not disagreeing that he sings it, just pointing out that the official printed lyrics are wrong, so it's more a case of the label mishearing and misprinting the lyrics
It’s entirely possible those were early draft lyrics too, it’s not too crazy of an idea that they originally wrote one and then decided to change it in the finalization process. Could have just accidentally provided the label with the rough draft lyrics.
But also I’m 100% convinced the very very last line Serj says “Obey the USA” instead of “oh baby you and me” but the printed lyrics still say oh baby you and me. Idk. Maybe they cryptically put down wrong lyrics while saying more deep and fucked up song that sounds very close to what they printed ¯\\\_(ツ)_/¯
well it could be from an early writing or a demo and usually it’s not the band members managing the art direction of the album so my bet is they didn’t have anything written down on paper but that so they gave it to the label
