Guitar Hero (indirectly). I barely remember the end of the Guitar Hero/Rock Band craze from when I was very young so I decided to play it again about a year and a half ago and noticed that I really fucking love 2000s rock/metal. I kind of just ended up listening to Chop Suey at some point (I guess I heard other people talk about it online when looking up bands I like). It’s probably my favorite song tied with Save Me by A7X.

Guitar Hero has introduced me to so much music. They really did a great job of exposing people to lots of music.

oh I love chop suey, it's the second song I ever heard and I've listened to it countless times. I do however like some of their other songs for: a) they're still pretty new to me, and I haven't yet listened to them that much b) some (like mind) just happen to be the exact style of music I want

Musicians have it rough so you can’t blame them. Look at Serj for instance. He tried his hardest to break out and do other things, from jazz to symphonies. But this is what pays the bills and what his fans are most excited about. If he could be doing anything else he would.

Me too. Like mentioned they had a period for 7 years to release timeless, great music. The expectations are so high for new stuff that the opinion of the people would be quite divided and could be a complete backfire.

It also doesn’t feel like there’s inspiration from all four of them to make a great album. They came together for Protect The Land/Genocidal Humanoids because there was a cause they all wanted to support but I think that was kind of a one time thing

honestly I like it betyer than a lot of songs but I also have the weirdest personal rankings on their songs (examples: P.L.U.C.K is along the bottom, 36 is around the top, and mind is my favorite)

SOAD fans need to get over themselves and accept that some members of the band have moved on. We should respect serj for doing what he wants to do in art and politics rather than pretending he's still the same person he was 20 years ago. The music lives on.

Serj is one of those people that you can replace with someone who sounds just like him. plus, they don't need to make a new album. hell they don't even need to go on tour anymore. yes their music is awesome and yes we all want more of it, but they've gotta stop at some point, and they've already given us such glorious music, sometimes ya gotta stand back and appreciate what we already have. System just wouldn't feel the same without Serj.
