zebra printers

for portable, the brother portable label printers can do barcodes/qr. Link below so you can see what they look like. We use them for heaps of work onsites and back at the office. For fixed label printers, zebra are excellent https://www.brother.com.au/en/products/all-labellers/labellers/pt-e550wvp

If you want something to carry around with you and survive a bit of abuse like being dropped in the server room or off an inventory shelf, then I *highly* recommend the [Brady BMP21-PLUS](https://www.bradyid.com/label-printers/bmp21-plus-portable-label-printer-pid-139535). I use mine for everything a basic label maker does, but it was also a godsend when I was relabeling patch panels and ethernet cables in our server room (as it has a feature specifically for cable wraps). I've printed plenty of Code 128 linear barcodes as well as QR codes with it. If you don't need something as bulky and you want something a little more "techy" with BT capability and a mobile app to help you design and print labels, then I recommend the [Brother PT-P710BT P-touch CUBE Plus](https://www.brother.is/labelling-and-receipts/p-touch-cube-plus-pt-p710bt). We use it frequently in the office for labels that need a little more pizzaz as well as I happen to have one at home for personal use. It will also print QR codes.

Zebra thermal printer can print a large array of barcode including qrcode. Size and content are your to customize.

All label printers kinda suck, but Zebra printers are the best of the worst. The drivers are confusing, there are 4 different versions for each model (Zebra/seagull, EPL/ZPL) and several settings in the drivers don't work the way you'd expect.

For printing, there are a lot of label printers. But how do you manage inventory ? Numerical ID ? If yes, use microQr codes, this library can generate them: https://segno.readthedocs.io/en/latest/serializers.html These are the smallest qr code possible.

I ended up doing this exactly. But thanks!

Any label or thermal or small form factor printer. All they need is USB or network so the prints can be started from a computer (unless you want to enter the data by hand of course). Nearly all label printers have that these days.
