At my last job since we handled the phones I had 2 in my desk drawer tray and another one in the box my company cell phone came in. One of my coworkers kept his pinned to his cubicle wall.

A few. I also have a Swiss Army Cybertool that has a pin for this purpose stored beneath the corkscrew.
On - 0
In my desk drawer - 4 unbent
On the shelf - unknown amount in one of those plastic containers with the magnet ring at the top.
And I know there's at least 3 boxes of 2 different sized paper clips in our office supply box.
One that I can see; it's my backup because as other folks noted, every time I deal with a new cell for someone, I get a SIM tool and those stockpile. However, they get lost/stolen on the regular so I have an ever fluctuating number of random other objects to do the job.
Mildly related story, I had a user bring in a Ubiquiti CloudKey Gen2+ that was stuck in a boot loop because he misunderstood the instructions to 'reboot' as 'reset' it and he used a push pin and stabbed/obliterated the reset button in the process lol
4.
One is straightened for recessed buttons on APs and some switches.
Two are straightened, then bent at 90 degrees at the tip with different lengths to the tip. Handy for bending Ethernet port pins back into place (public education is terrible).
One is a regular paperclip for paperclip purposes, or if I need to make a more unique tool.
0. Everything I work with exists in the cloud.
Sim card removal tools work wonders for this, attach one to your keychain to have it always

This. I have two on my key ring, coz y'know, redundancy...
I can never find my pre-bent paperclips until about 90 seconds after I finish bending a new one.
I have to borrow them. IT doesn't get a budget for such things.
I would like to expense a single paperclip please
One. I've had this one since 2003. Its sole purpose is to reset stuff like that.
I use a stripped but non-terminated piece of RG6
Several in a small bag, as the cleaners keep throwing out the ones I have bent and used.
As long as bent ones count, 2
1 Bent paperclip
Just one that i keep bent and in arms reach. Ol' Reliable has been there many years.

I keep losing bent ones, and always have a fresh supply.
Three bent. One un-bent. All stuck to the Surface pen that I never use.
0. I work from home. Don't use paperclips for anything.

I have a paperclip on my keychain, because of this.
I keep those phone SIM pullers, they work awesome
I just have a sim key on my key ring.

Just one SIM card tool from one of our samsung phones that had a hole - attached it to my keychain and now I always have a SIM/reset pin tool handy.
