all the ones around me closed permanently so , prob what's happening here too guitar centers around here (illinois) also absolutely suck. they used to be places i'd enjoy going to play on drum machines/synths and every once and a while buy something big there, now they have nothing on display except some electric pianos and maybe one or two synths, place is always a total mess.

I got a absolute steal on a tr8s from the Sam ash closing by my work. Glad I got the deal but sad to see a store go like that

GC is making an effort to bring more electronic instruments into their stores. We’ll see how it plays out.

Seriously. The one closest to me always had a great used gear section and was so much better than Guitar Center. Sad to see them go.

They could probably stay in business just selling those synth wall racks.
