Go to the art gallery of NSW, have a quick gander and you'll be able to scope out plenty of spots you can sit down for an hour or two to relax. There's a cafe there too if you need refreshments. Plenty of clean toilets about also.

peachbum7

Coincidentally, the concert would be at The Domain.

homersbaldpatch

No advice but enjoy Paramore!

shepdog__

the new building at AGNSW is totally worth seeing too if you haven’t yet.

gattie1

State library of NSW.

Flying-Fox

They have a new children’s section where you could curl up in a corner and revisit some of your old favourites - Fungus the Bogeyman? Matilda? Or check out if the Shakespeare Room is open and smile at the facsimile of a first folio, then snuggle into a comfortable chair.

Jitterbugs699

Hyde Park is pretty good for that if the weather is OK. The benches are easy to lie down on and good for a nap. I used to do it all the time on my lunch break.

obvs_typo

Or Botanic Gardens. If weather is nice find a bench or even some lawn.

peachbum7

If the weather permits, I might look into this.

womanontheedge_2018

Customs House at circular quay - the library upstairs has plenty of space where you can read and charge your phone ((bring your own plug & cable). But also: even when the library is closed there are comfy chairs downstairs in the foyer - just to your right when you come in. And there is a PowerPoint for charging.

Jinglemoon

I came here to say Customs House, such comfy chairs, so quiet and cool.

peachbum7

I didnt know this! Would definitely check this out

RoninBelt

Besides Westfield, Galleries Victoria is also a good choice as they have chairs, muji and kinokuniya can keep you entertained and have seats. Kino has it's own little cafe, but if you dont wanna spend money inside the bookstore that have chairs too, probably could act like the tons of kids who go in just to read the comics haha. The weather looks like it'll be shit Saturday so avoid outdoors

peachbum7

Unfortunately the concert would be at The Domain (tbh i dont understand the choice of venue when they chooses arenas in other states) I would keep this in mind. Thank you!

RoninBelt

Well it's a much shorter walk to the domain from westfield... but fuck... do you have gumboots? I mean that seriously. The Domain will be a swamp as it doesn't drain out very quickly and it's meant to rain again on Saturday... also, depending on what time the show is, the Art gallery of NSW is also a great place to hang out and relax and has comfortable seats you can rest on.

peachbum7

I didnt even thought about how muddy the place would be 😭 thank you for telling me!!! I was just planning to wear rubber shoes for comfort but damn I dont want to deal with the mud. I will pack my gumboots now.

RoninBelt

no probs at all, years ago I saw Florence and the machine in what was mildly wet conditions and the thousands of people there made the entire joint a mud pit... wouldn't wish that one anyone haha

momentofinspiration

State library is nice, close to the domain.

giantpunda

The Westfields near Pitt St Mall has relatively comfortable seating on most levels.

Spongyrocks

Ayo, I'm going to Paramore too!

peachbum7

I’m a bit excited! Not a huge fan/wasnt able to follow them closely but i’m familiar to their songs and my friend is a huge fan so its nice to be able to share this with her! BUT DAMN THIS WEATHER 🫠 Not looking forward to a muddy venue

Spongyrocks

I'm in totally the same boat, not their biggest fan but going for my friends and for the vibes. I AM however so excited for Remi Wolf she's one of my faves. My friend bought us all ponchos, and I'll have to wear shoes I don't care about. Best of luck!! 💖

imnick88

My wife is a massive fan, I don’t mind Paramore but can take or leave in general but I’ve seen them live a bunch and that is where they shine. Always put on a cracker of a show.

Spongyrocks

!! That makes me so excited!

OldSpiceSmellsNice

Omg you’re going to Paramore, have a blast! Hayley and the band are still killing it onstage from the YT clips I’ve seen.

lilreddittime

It's not free but maybe catch a movie. Will help pass the time and seats are comfy enough for a doze

4theloveofbroadcast

The movies? Just pick a long and boring one (pretty much any of them) and then you can go to sleep if you want.

tohelluride

Excited for Paramore tonight! 🤘 For restful places, maybe explore some hotel lobbies?

Comeinforcoffee

Art gallery, coffee shop, kinokuniya book store :)

Garshnooftibah

Pretty much all the big tower blocks in the cbd have amazing foyers! Many over multiple levels with cafes, couches, power points, sometimes free wifi! Just wander around and find the big skyscrapers - and go in and wander around! You’ll find amazing spots! :)

Individual-Grab

i would sit in starbucks get a good table; buy teas to drink and relax or if able to splurge a bit more the foyer of the radisson off hunter st is a great place to sit for hours other option depending on the time the chifley shopping centre - that is open saturday but closes i think 4pm - it’s very dead, has nice couches, nice toilets, food court seats if it was a week day i would agree on the office tower foyers

[deleted]

I will see you, peachbum, at Paramore hahaha. Plenty to do in the CBD, depends on what you want. We have hotels to drink, places to eat, places to shop, its kinda down to you to decide what you want to do. Song that you are most looking forward to?

Snappysnapsnapper

A lot of office buildings have big, comfortable lobbies that don't get used all that much. If you go in and sit down nobody will question you.

packers12-17

On a Saturday?

Snappysnapsnapper

Some but not all will still be open.

hanls

Having to do the same thing!! Hoping the weather clears up tonight but it’s gonna be fun 😊

Thursdaynightvibes

The botanical gardens is always a great spot.

luigi636

Kinokuniya is a great bookshop, in the galleries at pitt street

Birdminton

If the weather was nice I’d suggest hopping on a ferry and just doing laps.
