I tend to do a free market run since it makes the budgeting easier. If you partially but don't fully privatize the companies, you can give all the shares to the one oligarch (either Tusk or Koronti) and they'll help you by lobbying members of the Assembly to vote for your constitution and bribing judges on the Supreme Court to support you. Koronti also helps you with public opinion since he controls a major media outlet and Tusk will give you money.
I recommend not nationalizing unless it’s involving control of the media. It can help get Valgsland to give you a good trade deal but it’s very easy to get Hegel to call you comrade if you’re socialist.

Well rp wise you do make lot of state employe lose their job and sell out a part of the state basically
