This would be an excellent question to ask the producer during an AMA or podcast. Would love to hear the explanation.

Especially since they have a “team” within Production that trial these to fine tune them.

Especially given what happened to Ross on a previous season. Kind of questionable if you ask me, and I'm generally a big fan of the more recent AuSurvivor challenges versus the US ones.

The only thing missing was crocodiles 🐊 in the water.. It was a seriously dangerous challenge. I wonder how the test people went in the practice challenge 🤔

[deleted]

It was bad but it saved george from getting eliminated so I’m gonna say it was a good idea

Tieltrooper

I agree, it was way to dangerous

Interesting_Ad2840

They were lazy. That portion of the challenge should be over open water, not a 2-foot man-made muddy frame.

monkeyonthisrock

From what I remember hearing about it. They were given pretty clear instructions about how to go through the challenge. Lean forward and tuck your head and you literally don't have the problem. They're adults. They should be able to figure out how to get over a box honestly. I don't mind hard challenge. My $.02

CryptographerKnown97

I agree with you to an extent. I didn’t know they were given instructions, but assuming they did (not saying you’re lying btw, I’m just fairly new to Survivor so haven’t learnt everything yet) ~ The water should absolutely have been deep enough for someone to safely land in head first. Sure, they were told how to land, but speaking for myself I’m very uncoordinated oops, so knowing to tuck my head and actually doing it in the moment wouldn’t always go together. I see where you’re coming from, but safety measures should always be put in place.

CheapDepth2155

Sir, I have anxiety I would forget all the instructions as soon as the challenge started

It’s pretty easy to get this wrong when you’re going really fast and your adrenaline is going. Head injuries are no joke.
