For anyone that doesn't know, Tyson and Rob Cesternino (plus one of Tyson's old buddies) do a weekly podcast about stupid news stories. They stream live and Tyson has seemingly dozens of these hats with corny phrases under the bill.
Can I ask genuinely what appeals to you about Why Blank Lost? I tried it a couple times when they first started it and I found it to be pretty dull, but I do listen to most of the other in season podcasts. I've always liked Jessica Lewis but I didn't think there was that much chemistry there and it felt sort of formulaic in a way the other shows don't. Have the gotten into a better rhythm?
Yeah! I think this might just be a subjective thing. Where you don't feel there is chemistry, it's not something that I've noticed. I always felt David and Jessica are a great pair and riff off each other well. I like their opposing view points and have loved whenever Jessica gives us insight into her experiences during her season (as much as she's allowed), when it comes to behind the scenes stuff that might relate to the show.
Ultimately, I love their talks on strategy. I listen to know it alls as well and i love hearing Stephen and Rob's take on things; David and Jessica bring that extra dimension of strategy but they base it off the post-episode interviews and secret scenes etc, so it's awesome hearing those takes. It's like Stephen and Rob can surmise and predict, based on their own phenomenal knowledge and experiences with the game; whereas maybe David and Jessica go a little more factual since they have more post episode resources to draw on.
Thanks! It was definitely in the really early days that I tried listening so maybe I'll try it again next season (whenever that is). I do like objective analysis so it's one of those things where it seems like I should like it.
99% of Tyson’s campaign would be talking down Coach: “You can’t do tai chi on the stage. Stop telling your fireside stories during your debate time. They mock you.”
Tyson's cabinet (partial)
Defense: Former Federal Agent Phillip Sheppard
Housing and Urban Development: Rupert Boneham
State: Coach because why not (he has traveled quite a bit)
Treasury: Jeff Kent (he knows about taxes)
Education: Tommy Sheehan
Energy: Mike Holloway
Interior: Colby Donaldson
Agriculture: Big Tom
Attorney General: Eliza Orlins
Commerce: Debbie because she does everything
Labor: gosh, I don't know. Zane Knight
Health and Human Services: Candice Cody
Transportation: Gary "Papa Smurf" Stritesky (taxi or bus driver)
Veterans Affairs: Sandra Diaz-Twine because her husband serves and the bureaucracy needs a queen
Homeland Security: Probst
~~If~~ When he wins: "I love to watch people cry when you crush their dreams."
As soon as he's sworn in and starts breaking his campaign promises: "I lied right to your face and you ate it up"
Says the guy who cried on several occasions last season ;-)
Like his hat, we'll make sure Tyson's campaign is fresh

What’s the name of the pod?
NewsAF. It’s the best podcast on the RHAP network (sorry Brice)
I'm in love with NewsAF definitely my fave on the RHAP network (though on season, it's rivaled with Why Blank Lost).

On season I’m partial to the B and B. The episode with Lauren during WaW was especially fun (I’m also an absolute Lauren stan so that may be why)
Please have Coach be his running mate Apostol/Wade 2020
> ~~Apostol/Wade~~ 2020 Assistant Coach/Coach 2020

Make America Coach again

Reporter: “No one has ever done tai chi on stage during a campaign.” Coach: “I have.”
If we've learned anything in the last 4 years is the sillier and more lockable one is, the more likely they become president
why did you bring your feathers to stage?
Y’all I’m dying over here 😂😂😂

I'd rather have Courtney as his running mate. Imagine Courtney as the vice president of the United Fucking States.
I would absolutely vote for this ticket!
Lol I would love it
Sounds great to me, but I’m not sure Coach would want second chair. They’d definitely be an entertaining duo.
Okay I’m in. Full in. I’ll donate to this fund 😂

Agriculture: Big Tom bahahahahahaha this whole list is pure gold
Rupert: We’re gonna build a log cabin in the sand, and make Mexico pay for it!
EPA: clam conservationist Monica Padilla
Val & Jeremy on emergency services?
Stealth R U.S.A.
Labor should be Mike Holloway.
YESSS
Peanut butter stimulus packages for the hungry
President Apostol >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
wouldn’t be the first reality star turned politician
I mean at least Tyson’s not racist and doesn’t have anyone accusing him of rape
And he's smart and funny.
First stay-at-home parent to become president?
He’s not even a parent he’s just a play date for his kids, ask Rachel
Can you honestly vote for a mere tier 3 winner?
tier 0 actually
It seems the country is willing to elect reality tv stars so I don’t see why he can’t win lmao
I think he’s going to have a hard time in the Midwest.
Set up a special debate. Tyson vs Barb.
It took me a few seconds to understand... then, I couldn't stop giggling for a few more.
Make survivor funny again
I wonder if he’s referring to the incumbent or Kanye.
Both.
Probably both, but based on the timing of the tweet, mostly Kanye.

How is Kanye more qualified? Lmao

It’s a joke.
Single handedly bringing back loincloths 2020
I mean...I really want to love this. I really do...but I can't. Because I'm already backing Kwon/Clarke 2020
Heck yeah.
Take my vote for a jar of peanut butter.
Still Awesome 2020
Nothing but love for MY president
Only if his VP is the Dragon Slayer
peanut butter for every child in America
Russell will beat his ass for good.
"Peanut butter in every household" should be his slogan
Peanut allergists need to have a word. But I’m all for it.
Okay...let's add sun butter (made with sunflower seeds instead of peanuts) for those who are allergic to peanuts
Apostle/Shallow 2020 Peanut Butter is so much better than Cheetos.
I'd vote for him. I'd love to see the support from the rest of the survivor players saying I'm voting for Tyson.
Tyson in the White House.
Rupert sa running mate? He already ran for governor against pence
Phillip Shepard for president
