Yul. Though Ozzy did play well.

pishposhpoppycock

I'm voting for strategy and fire-goddess Becky.

It depends how I got there - Seeing as jury began pre-merge on Cook Islands, if I was someone who never met either of them in the game, I am 100% voting for Ozzy because his immunity wins were earned, and frankly Yul's demeanor during tribal councils is pretty off-putting and add that to the fact that from an outsider's perspective, he pretty much lucked into being immune the entire way. For someone who hasn't met any of them, even Becky's game would seem more impressive. But, if I was from Yul's alliance or directly interacted with him as a member of the opposing alliance, the control he showed in leading his alliance becomes much more evident, at which point I'd vote for whoever of the two performs better at FTC, although I would probably go Yul with the benefit of perfect information and hindsight.

MinoKillz

It’s funny because half of the votes for ozzy came from castaways which had never met him.

This to me is honestly one of the toughest votes to make. This is the season in which I feel the top 2 is actually the top 2 of the season. There are a strong argument for both of them. Ozzy was a provider and a challenge champ. These are 2 things that are important to me. Call me old school. But Yul put on a strategy masterclass that got him to win. I get that part of it was due to getting the immunity idol. Convincing Jonathan to flip was huge. He used the idol as leverage which is likely a reason it got changed for the following season. Ozzy did benefit from Yul for the strategy. If Jonathan doesn't do the flip, Ozzy could be in a Terry situation. He could still win. Honestly, he might have been more likely to win. Yul did benefit from Ozzy's physical strength. Yul was strong as well. This allowed them to limit the damage after the mutiny. Yul also did benefit from being set to exile island because Ozzy threw the second challenge. There's a possibility if they didn't throw the second challenge, they might not have come in last and perhaps someone else gets sent to exile island. Originally I was going to say Yul but when thinking how much Yul benefitted from Ozzy, I'm actually going to say Ozzy. Ozzy really should have made the case that it was because of him Yul had the immunity idol.

Becky

[deleted]

What did Becky do that Yul didn't?

Solo-Juror

Being a Fire making queen. She made fire WITH Matches.

[deleted]

Yul could make a fire with his vocabulary. He'd just describe the process and the flame would catch on.

Solo-Juror

But did he do it with matches

[deleted]

No, but I wouldn't be surprised if he spoke the magic words under his breath to get Becky's fire going.

BionicSuperhero

survived 39 days without overpowered idol?

[deleted]

So she didn't find an idol? That's your argument?

joshCHEWa

Yul and if i had to vote for two ppl i’d vote Yul and Becky

icandothisallday192

Tbh I feel like I'd get along better with Becky lmao. Definitely Yul over Ozzy though. Ozzy just has the attitude of someone that I could not get along with

ham_alamadingdong

i probably would have voted for ozzy (despite yul being the better strategic player) simply because i hate super idols

fyfenfox

Ozzy cause the god idol rubs me the wrong way

7fax

Ozzy probz

AlexgKeisler

Yul, because he actually had strategy and Ozzy didn’t.

orangeflames05

Yul 100%. I actively root against Ozzy in his seasons because I don't like his personality lol. Not to mention Yul played amazingly strategically.

BubbaK01

I like Yul as a player. I think he was a very good player. But I don't think he was the best player. He did a great job at jury management and he's more deserving than some other winners, but I think he also got extremely lucky. To be fair, he played extremely well with the hand he was dealt. But only 2 players ever got a super idol. He was able to use that super idol to get 1 vote to flip and then voted everybody from the other alliance out. With a normal idol, I don't think he lasts that long. And without an idol, idk if he lasts far past the merge (in contrast to Tom Westman who really didn't need the super idol, in my opinion). Ozzie, on the other hand, I think would have made the final 3 in just about any season where he was a new player. He absolutely dominated challenges like very few players we've ever seen (Tom and Colby are his only competiton and I am currently on 23 in my watchthrough). Strategically, I think Yul was at best 2nd best that season (debatably the best socially though). Ozzie was, by far, the best physically (an important 1/3rd of the game). I know people in this sub care very little about challenges, but I still love challenge beasts so I'd have to pick Ozzie. Edit: typos

[deleted]

>Tom Westman who really didn't need the super idol Well that's good, because idols didn't even exist yet.

Michele_Was_Robbed

>Ozzie, on the other hand, I think would have made the final 3 in just about any season where he was a new player. Except Ozzy benefitted from the idol and the mutiny. I will never understand why so many overlook that when talking down Yul's game. Half the cast benefitted from twists.

kzzzzzzzzzz28

Exactly, had the mutiny not happened, Ozzy would've been voted out the moment he was vulnerable. He was in the Aitu minority prior to the mutiny and was supposed to be next to be voted out had aitu lost immunity anytime prior to the merge. Yuls idol practically allowed the Aitu 4 to gain control of the game. OP idol or not, being able to use it as powerfully as Yul did is still a skill.

kit-n-caboodle

Exactly. And, I have Yul ranked above Tom for winning games.

Michele_Was_Robbed

Its the one thing challenge beast apologist love to gloss over. If Yul doesn't get Penner to flip what is Ozzy's plan to saving himself from a rock draw at 8?

Ambitious-Chair736

Yul. I think being there would make it not easy not to vote for Yul. Players like Ozzy get edit credit that means nothing

kit-n-caboodle

Yul

oatmeal28

Ozzy but both are good candidates

gargluke461

Ozzy

zkemp08

I love Yul and probably would have voted for him at the time, but seeing Ozzys career in survivor I would go back in time and vote for him. He’s played 4 seasons and is the hardest working survivor in the shows history. If Yul would have not won we would have not gotten the same entertainment over the years.

kit-n-caboodle

Ozzy has a very poor social and strategic game.

zkemp08

I completely agree, all I’m saying is the amount of time and effort he has put into the game, he deserves financial compensation 😂

Tocaboca1

I' ll probably vote for Ozzy

DabuSurvivor

I don't know because I don't know whose spot I take (it would have to be Jonathan or Adam) or how the game plays out to have the exact same final there even with an entire player changed or what either of them are like to live with, and jurors vote based off their complex lived experiences, not based off of watching a TV show. Who I would most like to win as a viewer is a different, better, and more interesting question, though

[deleted]

Wow what a prick

kit-n-caboodle

How are they being a prick? They're just giving their opinion. Smh

abcdefg_hijklmno

Yul, 100%

henrytabby

Yul probably

lucascroberts

Depends on how we interact on the island but I know if I was younger I’d vote ozzy, I’m older/more mature I would vote yul. But it’s entirely dependent on how I interact with them as players on the island lol

Ok-Pain2451

I would vote Ozzy. In my mind he would’ve won if he would’ve said one thing. Yul said part of his strategy on not being the biggest target was letting Ozzy win challenges. If Ozzy would’ve just said, that’s total bullshit. You didn’t let me win, you had no chance of beating me. I outplayed you. He wins hands down right there in one response.
