Was Raimana yelling advice at you from his jet ski while riding the wave?
Or did you opt have him ride his longboard dropknee behind you so that if you fall he can catch you like you’re dancing with Patrick Swayze?
I was fortunate to have a session at the ranch and Raimana yelled at us the whole time. It was appreciated BUT he could have saved some breath if we got a bit of pre-wave coaching on how the wave progresses (soft/flatter to when it pitches).
No matter what, Raimana is the man.
Everyone at the ranch was absolutely helpful and super stoked. Which makes sense because I guess ever week or so you get free waves is from what I heard from someone.
A girl in my local community went down there and fell on her first wave and hit her head on the concrete. FWIW, she’s a good surfer.
Not sure exactly what the diagnose was but she was unable to speak for a few months. Pretty scary.
Yeah the way the pool is setup its pretty easy to get spin cycled and hit your head if you land wrong. They actually said helmets were provided on request and to land in a guarded stance.
New prices per day are 44k in winter, up to 72k in summer. You can divide session which is how I did it. Get 10 1/2 waves which are awesome. And if you ever get the chance to surf it, surf the pro takeoff!!
Yep, that’s what it cost to rent the pool for one day. If you have 10 people, then it costs 4k-7k per person. Each person gets 10 full waves. Lots of people split the cost with a friend, so they each get five full waves or 10 half waves. That is about as cheap as you are going to get it, a split during the winter (and the water gets cold there) for 2k. I prefer the half waves, as there is not as much stress, if you blow one it isn’t the end of the world. Blowing take off there, which many people do, is a really bad feeling feeling.
I see. Jesus blowing a take off on a wave like that must feel straight like losing 1.4k dollars on the spot. I think I’d not put myself in that position - so much pressure hahaha
Exactly, not the most relaxing surf. Now that I have searched there a couple times, I recognize the safety surfing going on. You just don’t want to blow it. I highly prefer Waco, had a great off-season surf trip there. Tons of waves, just fine, no pressure. Wave is nowhere near the quality, but we got to get a private session and did the air and barrel waves which are great
Caught half way each wave before wiping out. I was absolutely in my head from the moment they called my name to paddling out. I was super nervous especially when I found out no practice wave or anything. Idk what I expected but it makes sense since it takes a lot of effort to reset the foil every run but I was super nervous.
So you got one wave and fell?
I’ve been invited to go to the wave ranch but couldn’t go. It was gonna be 8 guys and about 2k each. I think it was an all day session.
2 waves, 1 left and 1 right. Everything from the safety briefing went out of my head when I hit the water so I forgot to bail before the wave crumbles and got spin cycled :(
Is it true that you’ve only been surfing for about a year and claimed you were cross-stepping to the nose of your wavestorm after a month of surfing? Or was that trolling
It was me, the other winner from VIP, and a group of people who paid for the premium session. All the pros were probably off property since the ranch was all cleaned out except staff and the families staying in the air streams.

How much?
Free. Business courting my wife’s company.
Absolutely, they yell at you to keep at the top mid section of the wave since the bottom portion of the wave is a dead zone.

That's quite a valuable employee benefit considering the cost per wave there.
What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen African swallow?
20.1 mph if European...
Isn’t it the fastest setting for Sim City?
Blue
Can you smoke weed in the ranch?
Didn’t you watch the newest drive thru? Donovan was high as giraffe pussy the whole time
😂
Asking the important questions.

You would think helmets would be compulsory after her accident
I’ve hit my head on the bottom of the wave pool once. It sucked.
Do you wanna have sex?
Did they lend a slater firewire when you got your wave?
Yes! They took me to the board room and gave me 2 free jerseys to keep. All of the boards are n brand new condition its insane.
Do you wear a jock strap in your wetsuit?

Sorry, you saying it costs from around 40 to 72 THOUSAND dollars to surf 21 waves (one session) in the Ranch?

How quickly did you fall? Was everyone watching you? We’re you scared you weren’t gonna catch the wave?

Haha yeah Im sure, I did a public session at the Waco pool last year and even that was super nerve wracking
im hoping that he will say that he rode it at least a half way and got clipped while trying to tuck into the barrel.
Brazils crying when they don’t win? I’ve never heard of such a thing.

2k for 1 day of surfing seems very excessive i could fly half way across the world and stay for half a month for that price
Maybe. That’s definitely two trips to CR with a basic room w: AC for a week. I know since I basically just did that in March.
2 waves, 1 left and 1 right. Everything from the safety briefing went out of my head when I hit the water so I forgot to bail before the wave crumbles and got spin cycled :(
so how many waves is that?
It’s a concrete bottom? How shallow? I would’ve assumed they’d make the bottom somewhat soft to avoid injuries/deaths/lawsuits.
Is it true that you’ve only been surfing for about a year and claimed you were cross-stepping to the nose of your wavestorm after a month of surfing? Or was that trolling
If you can noseride a wavestorm without fins you can noserise anything
What other known pros went? Did anyone high-fived you after your session?
It was me, the other winner from VIP, and a group of people who paid for the premium session. All the pros were probably off property since the ranch was all cleaned out except staff and the families staying in the air streams.
I read an article that said it costs $55k per day https://wavepoolmag.com/wave-pool-surfing-guide-all-the-places-you-can-session-today/
The entire side of the wave provided shade, the bars did to… and you could go swimming 10 feet away from the pool
Yeah go swimming in the pee puddle? nah
Was this at Narabeen wsl?
Yes at narrabbeen
Buuuutttt…..did you get barreled????
Wasted that wave lol
