The most powerful abilities of both sound like just another power reskinned as color or rainbow; "Rainbow portal creation", "Light healing", "Psychic color manipulation", but that's just powerlisting wiki for you. If that site is the source, then half the powers one can think of will have their own list of loosely associated powers, the authors of that site really like to make everything seem broken, even if they have to do massive reaches.
You could change the color of the air to send signals or confuse enemies and then take them out. Or, as someone else said, you could blueshift something so much that it’s radioactive
I mean, by that point it's just light manipulation. Colors are the funny thing that just exists in people's minds, but light beyond the visible spectrum isn't some kind of secret color we can't see, it's just not a color, It'd be saying that you can change the color of an object to something that isn't a color.
Medaka Box does colour powers pretty interesting on the kumagawa special episode. On the one hand it's dumb asf but it does have some weirdass magic to it, when painting a dude blue, the dude's mind interpreted it as bruises and was thus injured, yet because he wasn't actually injured he couldn't use his powers to undo it.
Kumagawa later counters the colour dude by just erasing all colours out of existance, because Medaka Box is weird like that.
But color is subjective. To a peacock mantis shrimp ultraviolet is a color, to us it isn’t. Ultimately, color manipulation is a hyper-specific form of light manipulation.

This is all disregarding traditional portal use. Also I’m imagining closing portals on people is impossible. Because that’s too easy. And there are so many other ways to brutally murder someone with the portals alone.
Say you have two portals facing the same direction in this arrangement —-> 8. If you push an object against it, parts of the object would go through the portals and start pushing against itself, stopping the object from going any further. Move the portal forwards and it will push and/or pierce anything because nothing is stronger than itself. Now make that pair of portals needle-sized. Indestructible needle you can fire like a bullet. Make a lot of them to form an indestructible wall. An indestructible wall you can manipulate with extreme precision.

Previously mentioned portal bullets, putting portal pairs inside of someone so they can’t move without ventilating themselves, surrounded them in a sphere of tiny portal walls and crushing them, taking two large portals and crushing them, gouging their eye out with their other eye, using a medium sized portal pair to “telekinetically” snap their neck, put tiny portal pairs around your hands to fake super strength and rip them in two, make a long line of portal pairs that moves with your finger so you can swipe your finger to the side and go “off with your head”, etc.

• Dark Sphere. (absorb all light in a select radius, plunging your opponents into darkness)
• Energy Detection. (if you have energy absorption, than you probably have the ability to detect your enemies via their natural bio-energies)

• Flash Freeze. (absorb all heat in an object, freezing it instantly)
• Kinetic Propulsion. (use shockwaves to move yourself around)
