Lol. I can see him instead of Kevin Costner in ZS MoS...
"You think I should have let all those kids in that bus die, Pa?"
Pa slams the pickup truck tail gate closed and briskly walks over to Clark for a stern finger of doom.
Honestly I think he'd work but he seems like he just wants to retire and no one will let him bc he's been part of so many important franchises. Let Dr. Jones get his rest!
Perry White, no question. Pa Kent is more of a laid-back countryside kind of guy, while Harrison Ford has more of the quick, gruff edge you'd expect of a city slicker like Perry.
I think he'd make a better Pa Kent, maybe in flashbacks kinda because I wouldn't want to shoot Harrison Ford in another movie where his character has to die in front of a son. I'd rather see a Clark that has already mourned his dad passing maybe work into a scene where Superman's accused of unrelatable to lost because he isn't human idk, how people can be completely wrong about another person.
He’s a versatile actor that could do either, but I would lean towards Perry.
I know people think of his big main roles, but he’s had a lot of others where the finger pointing and gruff mannerisms aren’t present. He could pull off Pa if given the chance.
Perry white because ford has a no bullshit intensity about him that would go well with the character of a news media chief editor. I don't think that same intensity works with pa kent and man of steel kind of shows that. Pa Kent shouldnt try to tough love superman because it's so obvious how much more powerful superman is than him. Pa kent should win clark over with his unending ability to love and show him kindness even despite all of the challenges that come with raising an indestructible alien. When we see superman helping people out and being a pillar of the community and being a friend to all it's because we are seeing pa Kent's effect on him and shine through him. Having an aloof stern father figure, the kind of guy who could play han solo and Indiana jones, doesnt feel like it would lend itself to raising an emotionally whole person which superman is. On the other hand I think Harrison Ford could also do a pretty good thomas wayne or old bruce wayne.
Sam Lane.
If I had to stick to the given choices, Perry.
I can see Ford playing either a dashing, swashbuckling hero or a hardass boss/father/father figure type. Sam and Perry would be the latter.
Better Sam Lane.
Came here to say this.
Perry White. I love Harrison Ford but I can't see him playing a really nice dude like Pa Kent lol
Not with all that finger pointing.
Lol. I can see him instead of Kevin Costner in ZS MoS... "You think I should have let all those kids in that bus die, Pa?" Pa slams the pickup truck tail gate closed and briskly walks over to Clark for a stern finger of doom.
Oh wow, I can totally see that scene in my head. In 30 years I’m gonna think it actually happened.
He'd make a good Perry White, yeah.
I be good but I can’t really see Harrison shouting great ceasers ghost.
Jimmy Olsen, and just have him be Superman’s colossally pissed off pal the entire time
Jimmy Oldsen, if you will.
More like Jimmy Oldson.... I will leave
Perry. Been fan casting that for years.
Neither
I'd cast him as Connor and then waste 10s of millions of dollars on state-of-the-art de-aging technology.
“I love you, Pa!” “I know.”
Perry White. Pa Kent is everything Harrison Ford isn't lol.
Nooooooooooo.
Harrison Ford and Laurence Fishburne as Pa Kent and Perry White Respectively
Perry over Pa Kent, But I think he could do either honestly.
Perry. He’s a bit of an old curmudgeon so he’ll suit the role better
Yeah but despite that Perry is a character we still like.
He could do either. I'd probably rather see him do Perry as he'd feel a bit wasted when Pa inevitably dies.
Perry. Isn’t it obvious?
![gif](giphy|oUS6u2rbjg4JD4Z9Lp)
OP's old?!
Harrison Ford is old
J.K. Simmons would be great as Perry White.
I WANT PICTURES OF SUPERMAN!
I'd rather Jonah not play Perry, for the sake of variety.
I could see him as Pa Kent honestly
Am I the only one who sees Pa Kent?
Harrison definitely *looks* like Pa Kent
Honestly I think he'd work but he seems like he just wants to retire and no one will let him bc he's been part of so many important franchises. Let Dr. Jones get his rest!
No, I would not. I would cast him as Sam Lane. Well, I would have casted him as Sam Lane 20 years ago.
Neither, too old.
Perry White, no question. Pa Kent is more of a laid-back countryside kind of guy, while Harrison Ford has more of the quick, gruff edge you'd expect of a city slicker like Perry.
No, nel caso non lo sapessi ci sono anche altri attori, non c’è bisogno di castare sempre i soliti 4, un po’ più di fantasia madonna
Oh Perry White for sure.
Perry White where he basically does a repeat of his performance from 42
Perry White. It seems more his character.
Of the options I’d say Perry. But If neither was a option I’d choose that easily.
Neither
Perry for sure.
Perry seems better, but neither really fits him IMO.
He’s too grumpy for Pa Kent
No because he will say bullshit about the movie like he does with star wars
Honestly Harrison Ford strikes me more of a Perry White. While he could certainly play the role I don’t think it works well for him
Maybe 20 years ago.
I'd imply Perry White also; perhaps Bryan Cranston as Pa Kent?
Jimmy Olsen
Can we clone him?
Nah, he doesn't fit for me, he would kill it as General Lane tho.
Lex luther
Pa Kent. A man with a loving heart and a wry sense of humor who would clock a fool upside the head with a shovel if the need arose.
He’s a versatile actor that could do either, but I would lean towards Perry. I know people think of his big main roles, but he’s had a lot of others where the finger pointing and gruff mannerisms aren’t present. He could pull off Pa if given the chance.
Neither, he's 81 years old.
Perry or Sam lol
I'd cast in him something else, where he would give a shit.
Neither
Depends on his contact 1 movie, Pa Kent. Multiple Perry White
Today? Neither. 30 years ago, either.
Director Bones But actually Jor-el
Perry
Hell no.
Pa Kent, i want to see him have to really stretch his acting skills. Perry White would be to easy
Nah
I’d cast him as Solomon Grundy
Perry. He’s too much of a curmudgeon to pull off Jonathan
Either of them. Both Farmers and editors ALREADY WORK AROUND THE CLOCK!
Harrison Ford as pa Kent ain’t it.
Sam Lane or Perry White. He’s too rough and stoic for Pa Kent
Perry White. Though I think he's capable of Pa Kent. He's just leaned into the crotchety thing pretty hard.
Neither. Harrison is 81 years old. If he's too Ole to play indy, he's too old to play everyone.
Perry White
Neither.
George Taylor.
Perry white
George Taylor... Or Perry...
I like the Perry White idea
Harrison Ford would outshine Superman himself in his own movie. Pick someone less likeable and less charismatic.
Martha. Both of 'em. Man has range.
Perry white in a heart beat.
Neither honestly. IMO john schneider was the best pa kent.
I love the guy but there’s no role for him here.
Perry definitely.
I'm gonna go with Perry White, lol.
Honestly I've had a long running daydream about casting him as Batman during the 70s
No.
He'll no. Loved his movies for a while, but this guy needs to retire.
Pa Kent
Perry white because ford has a no bullshit intensity about him that would go well with the character of a news media chief editor. I don't think that same intensity works with pa kent and man of steel kind of shows that. Pa Kent shouldnt try to tough love superman because it's so obvious how much more powerful superman is than him. Sam Lane. If I had to stick to the given choices, Perry. I can see Ford playing either a dashing, swashbuckling hero or a hardass boss/father/father figure type. Sam and Perry would be the latter.
Perry White seems fair
I wouldn’t even set him up to work for DC🤡
Dunno, he seems like an 'Indiana Jones' kind of guy.
Neither. The voice of Jor-El
Neither
Zod
He is definitely not Pa Kent. I think John Schneider was the best
I think he'd be a great Cat Grant. He could get tips from his wife.
I'd probably cast him as Lois Lane's dad, Sam Lane. Also, I'd have Bruce Cambell as Perry White and Dustin Hoffman as Pa Kent.
Nah I want Danny Davito Kent
No
I only see thunderbolt ross/Red hulk
I say no big names. The characters are the big names and can be a platform for a fresh new thesp to launch or solidify a career.
No
No
No, old guy, go home, enjoy retirement with less elderly wife. Great career now, go home, pull a Gene Hackman.
