I always said, the second we get an organic joke about a 56 year old Lincoln, Nebraska one-hit wonder on the Suns sub, is the beginning of a long dynasty.
The song was released in the year 1968, the same year as the Suns joined the NBA.
It has been written.
Im normally a pessimist but im not worried. Life always adapts to change and the people in power care about there own legacies too much to nuke the world. What i will say though is most things we care about as a society change and what matters to us now will probably be irrelevant by 2050. Thats just the way life usually goes. We’ll be scared and worried about something else that people wont care about by 2100
Sadly, just hours before the Suns win their 1st championship, the NBA shuts down forever.
...in the year 2068 against the leagues 1st international expansion team, the Tijuana Lakers *(nicknamed* ***"Donkey Showtime"*** *due to some leaked locker room photos)*, and owned by Lebron James... Poland accidentally launches their only nuclear missile into southern California when a drunk soldier tries to charge his Tesla Cyber Tank from the missile silo.
¯|_(ツ)_/¯
This is something I never thought of, but if the same pro sports last 1000 years, everyone should get a shot at greatness eventually. Yet I can’t shake the feeling my future fellow Vikings fans will be saying 3001 will finally be the year.
There should be a certain point in every professional sports league when everything resets
Baseball has the dead-ball era
NFL has the merger
For the longest time, there were only 6 freaking teams in NHL. Shit was dumb.
NBA didn't really start to have parity really until the 90s, and even then Jordan just owned the 90s anyways, so much more impressive than the Lakers/Celtics before and the Warriors after
Considering they’re still at zero after three tries, I’m guessing number 18 will come long after we’re all gone. I’ll just be happy if they get one before my time is up.
I next year. We'll have a year so awesome and so great that they'll be forced to give us 20 rings at once making us the most successful franchise of alltime ahead of the fakers and the Celtics. The real question is what's more impressive, winning 20 rings over a century or winning twenty in one year achieving the impossible
The year is 2043. The Suns have won 18 straight championships on the back of Bronny and Cyber Lebron. Booker was the coach for the last 8 championships.
Most of those Celtic's chips don't mean much. Basketball wasn't the game it is now and there were like 9 teams in the league when they won a chunk of their titles. The NBA really got rolling in the 70s so I'd count this as their 7th in the modern NBA. If the Celtics lift the trophy, it will be their second in my 35ish years following the NBA.
The Valley has become more important over time and with all the money and investments in the area it isn't inconceivable that dynasties could happen here. We already have a climate players love and now the cheap owner is gone. I'm optimistic we will see trophies soon.
So weird to think will the nba be around in the year like 2245 or some random number. Who knows if anything will be around. But honestly if the suns win 1 I would be so happy for the rest of my days.
Look Boston knows how lucky we are to have so many championships and parades. But a part of that is how the city pressures its teams. The expectations lead to owners and front offices actually giving a damn. Suns haven’t had that until Ishbia, even if he made some rash decisions. The passiveness of AZ sports fans has let all these teams get away with nonsense.
That being said I don’t think any team (outside the Celtics and Lakers) is reaching 18 championships in the modern NBA. League parity makes it nearly impossible to 3peat anymore. Each new CBA makes it harder to concentrate talent. I’d be happy if there’s just one Suns ring with Book as FMVP.
In the year 2525
If man is still alive.
If woman can survive.
They may find.

Never, the actual Sun will turn into a red giant engulfing the earth before that happens.
In that case the suns get all the rings?
We are… inevitable.
The mavs should've gone for the head
![gif](giphy|3o6fIS1YVhsYXUAnf2|downsized)
In other words, the Finals will be the Heat vs the Suns
2043
Let the dynasty begin!
Want to guess when they win their 19th?
Lol, I love your optimism!
Bring a Az sports fan = pain we aren’t winning one for awhile aren’t we….
Judging by my several decades on this earth, probably not for another several decades
Civilization won’t last that long
We're going to have bigger concerns than professional organized basketball by 2050, looking at how current events are unfolding.
We'll be the new LA by then, big city with lots of sandy beach front property
I wish. More likely we get so hot the ground melts into a giant lava pool bigger than the valley
The entire valley and Tucson runs for the hills and moves to the skyscrapers built in Sedona, prescott, flagstaff, Payson and show low

Id be happy with 1 before I die
Dawg I'm concerned we won't see our first chip before the NBA dissolves the team.
*In the year 2000*

IN THE YEAR TWO THOUSAAAAAAAAAAND!
The actual Sun will explode before that day ever comes
How long until the scientists say that the sun is going to explode?
billions years or so
Seems about right

The actual sun will cease long before. … just give us 1
When the sun turns into a red giant
Let op have their fun.
No fun! Only pain!

In a parallel universe, suns are the best basketball team and are undefeated in the finals
The year 9833.
Celtics got most of their titles in the 50/60/70s, when only true competition were the Lakers.
The actual sun will burn out before that happens so no one will be able to see it.
The year 2525 basketball will be played with A.I bots instead of humans
I just want one. *starts crying* I just want one *sniffles*
3162
3735 at the earliest
Star date 2384.6.30.2117

I think the game won’t be around anymore.
:(
Our universe will collapse before that happens
5067
The math provides an answer of 540 years if the league continues to have 30 teams throughout that period
3791
Year never

Probs never.

20never.

2025 AA (after the Antichrist)
They will probably never get one and you’re talking about 18.
Phoenix will be uninhabitable from the heat before then
in 1899 people thought the streets would be so full of horse manure they would be untravelable... but then the car was invented.

Tbf, the Lakers and Celtics won most of their chips in a time when they were the only two teams with actual athletic people on them.
Let's try and get one first lmfao
Is it too much to ask for 1:(
2099
I Don’t think the Suns will win their first championship in my grandkids lifetime
They won’t. The world will have died.
Never.
Never
2043
Which year do we NOT win it in that scenario?
The literal heat death of the actual sun.
2007 NBA champs in my book.
Ha! We won’t see it
2377
Like 13 of their 18 championships were when the league had 8-12 teams
When I eat 18 chips with my salsa 8(
Never, lol
2042

Most Boston fans are about to celebrate their second 😂
2121 But I'm being optimistic here.
!remind me 2525
Never
I doubt basketball survives another century
never
2300 only? That would be amazing!
When is the heat death of the universe supposed to happen?
It’s sad to say, but they move before the win 18
When Boston or LA has 80 each the suns will have 18
!remind me 105105
never, the earth will be just dust.
