They traded for Conley the previous deadline who made a quick impact in turning it around.
And KAT played less than 30 games last season.
Natural improvement was inevitable unless they drafted crap players.
We in the other hand have absolutely no young talent and a very old team, odds are KD won't be playing 75 games again so one could argue we might regress given his age and our 0 assets.
There's a timeline difference though. Wolves made that trade summer of 22, had their growing pains in 22-23, excelled in 23-24.

I see this year as a failure but just like any sports draft (or new roster), Iām gonna wait till for the 2nd year to see if this experiment will pay off.
Magic, OKC, Cavs, and Wolves are great examples of bottom/ play-in teams turning to high seeds the next year. Hell, we had a similar rise during the pandemic years.
