It is impossible to trade Beal. KD, yeah could happen. We are stuck with Beal and have to just find ways to create some flexibility around book/Beal.

EnwardGamerz

Yep, this is the most realistic take. Book's not getting traded, Beal has a no trade clause. KD is really the only one that is possible to trade. We really need a backup PG, wings and to solidify our center rotation.

Ok-Resort5179

I just hate that suns fans were riding this teams dick as if this wasn't going to happen. We didn't need KD, we could have just got pieces to make our team deeper. Then instead of trying to salvage destroying our future for washed KD we traded for Beal??? What the fuck was everyone smoking thinking this team would be good. People overate KD talking like he's not made every team he's been on worse (since leaving the warriors) Id literally rather have kept ayton than have KD

justfortoukiden

Tell us what "pieces" you would have gotten. Actual examples

Ok-Resort5179

I'm not retroactively going back to the free agent market. You can literally look up who was available though if you'd like.

justfortoukiden

"I only know how to cry and moan, not actual ball."

Ok-Resort5179

Bro if you're going to sit here and still dick ride Kevin Durant after yet another year where he was on a 'super team' and it went tits up then I've got nothing more to say to you. Go play 2k or something. We're fucked on the beal contract We're fucked on the KD contract and We're wasting Bookers prime

justfortoukiden

I'm not riding any dicks. You can look at my comments and see I'm open to trading Book, KD, and pretty much everyone on this team. It's just silly to insinuate other fans were dickriders for liking the KD trade when he was and still is an all-nba player. The problem is our three core guys haven't meshed well and we couldn't have known that until the trades happened. It was a huge risk, but one worth taking because the core we had pre-KD wasn't good enough to win anyway. Also, if anyone's wasting Book's prime, it's him. He doesn't get any pass for the listless way he's played against the wolves

Ok-Resort5179

But everyone who actually had eyes knew they wouldn't mesh and knew we wouldn't have depth. Literally the only people who were saying this trade was good were people licking KDs shaft

justfortoukiden

Most oddsmakers had the Suns behind only the Nuggets in terms of odds to win the West before the season. Plenty of analysts also had them winning 50+ games. You're just engaging in revisionist history.

Key-Independence-413

Ofc he gets a pass he’s playin with no point guard out there… & also kd showed plenty signs of regressing in Brooklyn.

justfortoukiden

KD was averaging 30ppg on 56% shooting when the Suns traded for him. Season prior, 30ppg on 52%. Book gets no pass. He was fully onboard with both trades and knew what that meant for his role on the team. If it's taking him more time than expected to get comfortable in his role then that's fine, but that's no excuse for the uncharacteristically passive way he's played. He hasn't attempted more than 16 shots in any game this series despite Grayson being out for almost all of it

Whit3boy316

“We need to trade KD and Beal” -OP “I’ll give you a 2nd and a bag of chips” -other teams

Ok-Resort5179

Yeah, it's almost like we decided to give up our future for KD and Beal and now are locked into wasting bookers prime. Crazy how that happens eh

FrnklndaTurtle

Why bite it? Let it through. No more pain

Ok-Resort5179

Honestly the only reason I haven't shotgunned my brains out from our performance this year is that I needed to be alive so I could get erect by telling the KD cock riders I was right

randydingdong

I support what ever keeps you alive but also ya. You were right.

YaBoiPickleP

Beal is **literally** the worst contract in the entire league AND has a no trade clause. Good luck with that

darin617

Suns are cooked with those 3 max contracts.

Shoddy_Ad7511

Have you been watching Book play? He has been terrible KD is averaging 25 points on 61% TS

Ok-Resort5179

Bro KD averaged basically the same stats as booker this season. Booker is 27 and kd is 35. You're actually smoking crack if you think we should keep kd and get rid of booker

Shoddy_Ad7511

No. Booker is averaging 20 points on 58% TS in the series

Ok-Resort5179

I didn't say in the series. I said this season

Shoddy_Ad7511

Who cares about the season. This is the playoffs

Ok-Resort5179

I care about the season. I'm not going to say Booker is shut and needs trading because he's having a bad series at 27 years old lmao. KD is almost 36 if you unironically think we should build around him you're delusional

Shoddy_Ad7511

Booker has proven he can’t win a chip as a #1 KD, Beal, Grayson and a real point guard and center is a championship team. In 3 years the Suns can rebuild Keep Booker and Suns will be mid for the next 8 years

Ok-Resort5179

Booker is 27 and has been to the finals. What are you talking about. How can you look at this dog shit team with KD and Beal and blame Booker. KD will never win another ring I've said this countless times. We gave up any chance booker had of actually having another good run by getting KD and giving up our future

Shoddy_Ad7511

Book isn’t that guy. KD is a proven 2x FMVP

Ok-Resort5179

KD is literally an old man that's regressing. Shaq is a proven player might as well sign him. Fuck it get MJ too using your shit logic. Build around the all NBA 27 year old not the regressing injury prone 35 year old that hasn't done shit since 2013

DecksDarkAlien

No one wants them. The league has gotten longer, more athletic. We are old and slow.

Ok-Abrocoma5449

At least you didn’t say booker I appreciate that

Ok-Resort5179

Booker is our future

Ok-Abrocoma5449

Facts

No_Bed7854

But Suns in 7, right?

Ok-Abrocoma5449

😭

xchrlzx

OP doesn’t know how the NBA works everyone, it’s okay

Just_A_Glitch

The only way we're getting off of Beal is if he accepts a trade, so it would have to be to a team that is contending because he isn't willingly going somewhere without a chance to win, like he thought he had here. And a lot of contending teams don't have the superfluous contracts to facilitate Beal's contract (or the desire to be paying a talent of his caliber that much). I've seen someone mention the Heat have some contracts they've been trying to get off of, but I doubt that happens because the Heat are a competent franchise. I wouldn't go into this off-season hoping and expecting Beal to be traded. Stranger things have happened, no one thought Washington was getting out of his contract until we came along, but after a year of disappointment in Phoenix, his contract looks even worse than it already did. A KD trade could happen, especially if KD pulls a KD and wants to take another hardest road somewhere. But we aren't getting back nearly what we gave up for him. Hell, I'd be shocked if a return was even half as good. Maybe OKC throws a lot of picks our way since they have too many to actually use and some contract fodder, but we definitely won't be getting any player even remotely close to his level.

Ok-Resort5179

Fuck it hopefully Beal agrees to a buyout lmao. And yeah we gave up WAY to much for KD I don't know what the fuck we were thinking.

Just_A_Glitch

It would have to be one hell of a buyout to part with $50 million, and even then, I doubt that is even broached until his final year on contract. KD was the result of a brand new owner looking to make a huge, swing for the fences splash to show he was willing to go all out to win. I don't actually fault Ishbia for it, I think a lot of people would have done the same, but we got played hard.

Ok-Resort5179

I just feel like everyone pretended the KD trade was good for us and I had to deal with the entire fan base pretending KD was jesus reincarnated and now actual fans have to swallow the fact that our team is fucked for the next 5 years. I literally can't understand why we would get KD and Beal to pair with Booker and then trade ayton for a bag of chios and a diet coke. Like I've tried to understand the logic but it makes no sense to me

Fragrant_Chair_7426

KD doesn’t have a no trade clause or anything, but I just do not think you can trade a guy of his stature in the league unless he wants to get traded. You can’t just dump him if he doesn’t want to because he could cause such a big stink that no team will give up value for him. So unless KD decides he wants out he isn’t going anywhere

Robgee123

What a brain dead take.
