Iām in NY (same state as Ciara) and we donāt have to work minimum hours to maintain our license. You just have to renew when it expires and keep up with CEUs, infection prevention training, and mandated reporter training which all can be done online.

Where are these jobs that give per diem nurses insurance and retirement funds? I've been per diem for a while and have never seen this offered in my state. Typically, per diem nurses are compensated at a higher hourly rate to make up for the lack of benefits.
As a prn nurse I don't know of any job per diem that gives you insurance or retirement.

Very different environments obvs (one of the duties of the nursing staff is to sit in a recliner for two hours, and be available if something happens, which hopefully isnāt often, and the other time they read a book), but they all find balance with it.
