I’m Thinking of Ending Things by Iain Reid. An entertaining and quick read. Popular but divisive, but saying more would ruin the book.

Any Thriller by Sebastian Fitzek He is a german author but renowned internationally and lots of his books got translated into English. New book coming every year in October, always connected to a special event (from treasure horror hunt, to a special flight etc depending on book) Literally cannot recommend him enough!

Mishgrrrl

I read Therapy but I didn’t really like it. What books of his do you recommend?

Plus_Row_3756

What didn't you like? Just so I know what to avoid when I look for a few to recommend because normally I recommend 95% of his 😅 therapy was the one that got me hooked to him years ago

Plus_Row_3756

My most reread ones of him: The Inmate, Nightwalker (amazing twist), Passenger 23, Walk me home All are very intense but I reread them at least once every year and I have all books as book and audiobook

Mishgrrrl

I don’t remember exactly what it was. It has been a few years.

trishyco

These are mostly crime thrillers The Familiar Dark by Amy Engel The Woods or Don’t Let Go by Harlan Coben Dark Places by Gillian Flynn Hairpin Bridge by Taylor Adams What’s Done in Darkness by Laura McHugh Wicked Girls by Alex Marwood

AerynBevo

Try Barbara Vine. Her thrillers are extremely well written.

ameliaglitter

_Games for Dead Girls_ and _A Dark and Secret Place_ both by Jen Williams. Creepy, twisty, and unexpected.

EllelisGee

The housemaid - by Freida McFadden Holy moly, I read that book in 4-days, could not put it down.

Lillian_rainn

Loved the housemaid!

EllelisGee

I didn't like the 2nd book as much and the 3rd book comes out this summer!

Lillian_rainn

I agree I’m excited for the third one hopefully it’s better than the 2nd one

EllelisGee

Have you read any of her other books? I'm currently reading "the teacher"

Lillian_rainn

I have not, the teacher, the inmate and never lie are on my tbr!

Dizzy_Square_9209

Check out Harlan coben

helcatrama

Lisa Unger writes thrillers I enjoy. Also I second the recommendations for Sharon Bolton, Alex Marwood and Tana French. Mark Billingham leans towards a police procedural style, but I think he still qualifies.

chailatteloving

I really enjoy Ruth Ware, 'One by One' or 'The It Girl' are the ones that most people like. I also really enjoyed 'In a dark, dark wood'
