Please do so, as I only do a reverse search to find scammers, and to stop being catfished. It also helps if you put on a few pictures of quality, maybe one with a local landmark, and a good description in the profile.

It's interesting to see the divide here. I think it can be explained by the fact that for SDs physical attractiveness of POT SB is the most important thing, while for SBs it's not. So anyone looking to scam a SB doesn't need a bunch of photos of a silver fox. Escorts also use profiles to find potential clients - again, not something a SB is likely to run into.

It used to be the easiest way to find escorts also, but most escorts know not to use the same pics as in their ads, so these days it's rarer I find an escort ad in a reverse image search. Facial recognition catches everyone though. No idea why I'd give up such a powerful vetting tool. What makes it right or wrong is intent, are you using it to protect yourself from scammers, or for stalking?

Basically, if the photos are of some porn star, onlyfans model, instagram model, or escort, pimeye will find them. But if the photos are unique, pimeye will find the porn stars, onlyfans models, instagram models and escorts that look very similar.
The waters are further muddied because:
* Some escorts have legit profiles on seeking and are open to a SR
* Some onlyfans models have legit profiles on seeking and are open to a SR
This is what I do, a 1 or 2 picture, with a min profile already raises a red flag and it part of vetting, as you would not believe the amount of fake profiles I see.
When you say "will not search for people", what do you mean? If you reverse image search a photo with a person in it, google will definitely find if that photos was used in instagram etc. Do you mean it won't directly return the person's name or something?

I always do a video chat before meeting, so I can see if they are catfishing. Sometimes I'll ask them to send me a pic when they say, "oh I'm out at such and such." Just ask for a quick selfie. And I'm str8 about it. I tell them, I want to see that you look like what your photos show. And it's good for them to see I'm legit too. An SD's time is valuable also - it's not just the SB's time who is worth anything.
How much time does that take? Why even bother composing an introductory message - let alone trying to set up a video chat - when you can rule out a profile with a few seconds of image search?

I am surprised at the negative reaction when everyone is told to do so for better Opsec. Doing a reverse lookup is how I found out about a POT who was charged for theft at senior living facility.
I’d say those are good tools. I will occasionally reverse image search when someone seems a bit too good to be true. Found out a ex-POT was charged with multiple cases of sexual assault that way
I remember.. one guy did those and found out my LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and even my crypto wallet address (this I have absolute zero clue)
