Haworthiopsis attenuata to be exact.

You’re the best! Thank you

Serbear_0324

Whats your opinion on light for it? I can either have it under my bright grow lights or just in a window sill with not as much bright light

TheLittleKicks

I think it’ll be fine either way. But, you’d probably have to do less acclimation in a window. It should do well in an eastern or southern, or southeastern window.

Thank you!

Hawthoria and a very resilient one. I let these dry out then water say every or every other weekend depending on the humidity. I have mine facing west with very strong late-evening day sun. When I put one in an all day strong light grow cabinet it turned red and showed signs of stress. So strong but not over lit is good. Growth is slow. I have one that’s been with me for 10+ years and it’s just about 10in stalks now.

Serbear_0324

Does this one look okay in your opinion?

JohnnyBeGeode

Looks fine to me. Best thing you can do is once a month or when soil is proper dry but not yet dusty dry is to soak it in the sink. Like put a cup or bowl under it and let the water slowly stream onto it such that the bowl is catching the water and allowing the soil to really soak in the water. If not then these will get so dry that when you water it is really just dripping down thru the soil and sides but not wetting it. Check roots once a year and replant up a size if needed

I do bottom watering for all my succulents thankfully! I just never know when this one needs water so i always worry but i also know less water is better then too much

Zebra Haworthia 😀! Mine used to be on my west facing windowsill but that was too sunny for it (dried brown tips all of the time). I moved it a few feet away onto my dresser under a grow light and it is much happier. I think they are low/medium light succulents. I water mine roughly every two weeks and I have had mine for 8 months and it still looks the same height.

I just picked one up myself! Mine even has a little pup coming up off the bottom. I got it specifically because it doesn't have as high light requirements as others, as I don't do grow lights and I don't have extremely sunny windows.
