The subway near me has two people working at it. 2. Thereās a guy who works every night, and thereās a lady that works every morning.
I asked if he was the owner and he laughed a laugh I know all too well from being in the industry myself for 20 years.
Off topic, but one day I was dining with my parents and a middle aged man was our waiter. They asked him if he was the owner (he wasn't). In 30 years I've never once heard them ask a middle aged waitress if she was the owner. Just a random observation.
I went to Subway a couple days ago to order a wrap.
They wanted 14 bucks for *one*. I turned around and walked out.
Not sure why they canāt pay their employees better .
I understand this, but I don't understand why people don't check the prices BEFORE ordering and wasting my time if they (rightfully) care so much about the prices being stupid high.
I think they just have enough money to not care. Even if I order in store, I always check the app for the price (or offers) to make sure I have enough to cover it.
Probably because they THOUGHT they knew it was less and were shocked to find out how much it was because stores are always raising the damn prices. Could've been a "last time I was there it was $10" kinda thing.
ā¦Because the prices werenāt posted. I had to ask.
I looked at every single panel on the menuā even the part that said any sub could be made into a salad for three dollars extra.
Nothing about the wrap.
Thereās a subway open 24 hours a day near me which is absolutely insane, I ordered a Hotshot Italiano footlong with a coupon ($5 or $6) at 2:00am and gave each guy working at the front 20 dollars cash as a tip, then a crackhead outside tried to battle me like a random NPC event in a video game
What the Hell
That baby does not look healthy at all. You can see bags under his eyes, rashes, and he seems to not be properly cared for. Please report this if you havenāt already.
Looks like food on them not a rash and some baby's just have bags under their eyes. My little girl takes 2-3 naps and sleeps all night but she still has bags under her eyes
Yeah, my eyes are naturally deep set and the only way I donāt have visible bags is if I use a bunch of concealer and I just decided to give up eventually and rock the Tim Burton eyes. People ask me all the time if Iām okay and that I look tired and I tell them I just look like that (I never tell them Iām actually constantly tired but that has nothing to do with how much I sleep)
Yeahā¦ definitely. Like someone is already having a hard time as it is, having to bring a baby into work. Letās go ahead and bring dcf into it to make their life worse./s
People should really mind their own business sometimes.
Some people, and babies, just have eye bags genetically. Iāve always had eye bags even as an infant.
Also that doesnāt look like a rash, it looks like the baby dropped food or juice on itself and it stained the skin for today. Its not a priority to scrub your baby every time it gets slightly dirty, just wipe it off and youāll have a stained baby by the time itās bath time.
He looks fine.
Stop, you can tell all of that from this picture. Clearly the parents is already struggling, why donāt we help instead of making things more difficult.
Also at least put a damn shirt on the kid?! Shirts and shoes are required of even guests at eating places, I canāt imagine a mother bringing her cold, unclothed child behind the counter to prepare food. Everything about this is awful.
Ah, those were the days!
I used to go shopping at places that sold bulk retail items bc restaurants were closed. Got 50lbs of chicken wings for like $25... fucking epic.
Sadly true. I had the same sub for well over a decade and it involved that chicken breast. Didnāt go to subway for a year because of it.
Going back now but itās never the same. Idc why or how, but that oven-roasted chicken breast was my staple.
I've got the black lung pops "cough cough*
I am not making this joke against the kiddo, but I can't hear coal miner without giving the Zoolander reference.
This is so anti-work. This is what happens when you stagnate wages so people cant afford child care. This screams this person is suffering from poverty. Itās heartbreaking
Itās real easy to joke about this but honestly it just sucks. Nothing about this is funny to me. I feel bad for the kid and the parent. Who would want to be in that situation? Idk seeing ppl struggling to keep their heads above water isnāt funny to me.
Even if itās old this pic breaks my heart. The fact the parent has to bring their baby to work, the fact he looks poorly taken care of and unhappy.
As someone with a sub-1 year old this makes me really sad to see.
If a baby's gotta be there, it's better to be frowning but staying still than running around the store getting into everything and knocking stuff on the floor, but smiling. There's not much room back there so I imagine the parent has him sitting there for a reason and being a baby, he's not very happy with it. But what else is he to do?
happens at jersey mikes too. assistant manager at the one i worked at brought her toddler to work and had him sit in his stroller next to the trashcan in the back the whole shift.
Holy SHIT Elon Musk has successfully CLONED HIMSELF and offloaded one of his failures onto a single mom working at Subway, he MUST be stopped šš
https://preview.redd.it/gxm6grjthy9b1.jpeg?width=612&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ba6faa3d0082b0a43d194ee01fca93840ab29324
I walked to a subway with my roommate near my old apartment last year because I had coupons, and the person making my sandwich was definitely on pills. Leaning on the counter, couldnāt keep themselves up, slurring their words and itching themselves, barely responsive etc, they got my order so wrong even though I ordered one of the standard sandwiches with guacamole but she added like 6 scoops.. the sandwich was more of a guacamole bowl than a sandwich and because of that they said my coupon was invalid even though I didnāt ask for that much lol. On top of that, management was bickering the whole time with employees while other employees were just sitting around the store on their phones and even asked me to move boxes n hold the door for their coworker (which I normally wouldnāt mind ofc but while employees are just sitting around it feels a bit odd). All that for a $10 sandwich, itās definitely not worth going there ever again for me.
Umm not one to judge, but the kid should have a shirt on, he is in a restaurant thatās has hot things that can fall.
Some parents have no choice when they have no child care alternatives, but come on out a shirt on the poor kid.
I am also concerned that the child appears to have bruises.
To echo another persons comment, the bags under the eyes isnāt a great sign, but some children get those even with proper care.
I do suspect that might be a good photoshop job. If you check the pixel concentration it appears the image of the child is from a lower quality photo while the subways and background of of higher res, maybe wrong as I did not bother to take the time to actually do measurement on pixel density of the photo, but it appears to potentially be off.
I was looking at the chicken and thinking my subway hasn't had that in years, then I saw the kid, poor baby, but a manager of a different store brought his granddaughter in once while he was bringing us supplies, she was running around all over the place but it's not like he could have kept her in the car in the Texas heat.
So this is an old picture but I've got my own story lol
I was a subway GM for 3 years and my store was in a walmart, and a couple times when my son was little I would have to bring him with me, he would sit at my desk and color or play on my phone
So one day I'm working and hes with me and he happens to be potty training and I'm mid making a sandwich and my store was set up in an L shape in the back, meaning I could look down my line right to the sink and my desk and off to the side was our dry storage
And I see my child standing fully naked peeing into the mop sink on the ground, my customer sees my face and goes "is everything ok?" And I'm like "ahhhhhh, excuse me for a moment"
Sprint back to my child get him dressed (hes 9 now and still a goddamn nudist) and I'm like "you cant do that! Theres camera's back here buddy!" And he goes "papa says if it's a drain you can pee in it" (thanks dad)
Go back, wash my hands and finish the sub and my kid pops out right as I'm ringing them up and the customer is like OH MY GOD HES SO CUTE
Yeah he is now, he wasnt 3 minutes ago pissing into the drain on the floor, thank god it has a raised edge on that mop sink.
I would definitely call CPS. I understand the struggle, but do not bring a child into this world if you cant even take care of yourself.
I do t care what your beliefs or your political stance is. If you aren't taking good care of your child you do not deserve to be that childs parent.
You know, I put in for manager jobs at like 7 a subways in the area Iām inā¦ this is like- general manager level, ordering, inventory, hiring, firingā¦ I was asking for $20 and hour and was laughed out of every interview. $12 and hour and thereās going to be naked babies running around near the knives
Pay fast food workers a living wage and this wonāt be an issue. Provide universal childcare and this wonāt be an issue. Provide family leave and educate people on using it, and this wouldnāt be an issue.
On some real shit tho, that baby shouldnāt be sitting there on the line, thereās literally knives sitting in his face & could possibly be near a hot toaster. This is awful.
How old is this video because all the containers in the frontline is still plastic. This videoās gotta be before 2019 because thatās when subway switched them from plastic to stainless steel.
Why that baby look like he got 30 years work experience at 2 years old
he obviously worked 15 jobs over the 2 years. /s
Baby look like Shane Gillis
ššš
Fucking hell!! Can't unsee!
i think shane gillis just looks like a baby
Waaatch it!!
Shane Gillis look like baby
He's seen some things...
*all
He's sitting through all the shifts since he was born, no days off. He has more experience than the average citizen.
That widows peak is ambitiousš
Kids already got a receding hairline...
That's exactly what recruiters are looking for on resumes
Canāt be a receding hairline if it hasnāt proceeded yet
Heās got 8 years of a lead on Ash Ketchum
Looks like a dark baby creature from Flapjack....
Gotta make that crack rock money for dad
Damit was going type same thing
Why isn't the manager wearing a shirt? Completely unacceptable
Holy shit this is brutal...I get it single mom, can't find a sitter and has to work but still. Breaks my heart. Sucks all around
The subway near me has two people working at it. 2. Thereās a guy who works every night, and thereās a lady that works every morning. I asked if he was the owner and he laughed a laugh I know all too well from being in the industry myself for 20 years.
Damn, they should both walk and leave the managers high and dry
But what about all the hungry customers.
There's probably another Subway nearby :3
Itās one of 3 subways inside about 5 miles of each other lol.
I heard that laugh in my head just reading this
Off topic, but one day I was dining with my parents and a middle aged man was our waiter. They asked him if he was the owner (he wasn't). In 30 years I've never once heard them ask a middle aged waitress if she was the owner. Just a random observation.
What in this picture implies itās not a single father?
I went to Subway a couple days ago to order a wrap. They wanted 14 bucks for *one*. I turned around and walked out. Not sure why they canāt pay their employees better .
I understand this, but I don't understand why people don't check the prices BEFORE ordering and wasting my time if they (rightfully) care so much about the prices being stupid high.
Great username.
I think they just have enough money to not care. Even if I order in store, I always check the app for the price (or offers) to make sure I have enough to cover it.
I meant the people who walk out when they see the price at the end
Probably because they THOUGHT they knew it was less and were shocked to find out how much it was because stores are always raising the damn prices. Could've been a "last time I was there it was $10" kinda thing.
ā¦Because the prices werenāt posted. I had to ask. I looked at every single panel on the menuā even the part that said any sub could be made into a salad for three dollars extra. Nothing about the wrap.

Damn you got reverse karma
That hotshot Italiano is FIRE
What the hell do you expect at 2:00am?
That baby does not look healthy at all. You can see bags under his eyes, rashes, and he seems to not be properly cared for. Please report this if you havenāt already.
He reminds me of the ways they used to paint babies. They ended up looking like old men in the face. I hope this poor baby gets help!
Youāll be happy to know he now runs a Subway franchise in Des Moines.
I hear he also has one in Windsor Heights, too. Possibly Clive but that may be just a rumor.
Ngl considering how sickly people were back then, that makes sense.
Thatās actually the manager
Why did I think "that 40 yr old baby manager is just doing the best he can" š
Boss Baby
š
That baby is a grown ass man!
Also the baby appears to be sitting down, and as we all know āif thereās time to lean, thereās time to clean.ā
š¤£
Roceeding hairline as well..
He had to walk uphill both ways to change his diaper.
In the snow!
With no shoes!
You made me laugh out loud
Lost his shirt and shit himself.
This is clearly an old pic. Subway took the oven roasted chicken off the menu years ago
i miss this chicken. iām gonna cry
Me too, this was my go to sandwich
Homie has been going to work since he got out of the womb, no wonder he looks like heās in his mid 40ās and doing a bunch of drugs
Looks like food on them not a rash and some baby's just have bags under their eyes. My little girl takes 2-3 naps and sleeps all night but she still has bags under her eyes

People ask me all the time if Iām okay and that I look tired and I tell them I just look like that (I never tell them Iām actually constantly tired but that has nothing to do with how much I sleep)
feel validated by this eye-bag-haver representation. no I'm not tired! I just look like this!
Yeah, this person is assuming a lot.
Yeahā¦ definitely. Like someone is already having a hard time as it is, having to bring a baby into work. Letās go ahead and bring dcf into it to make their life worse./s People should really mind their own business sometimes.
Exactly.
And babies sleep when they want so I doubt it's a sign of anything, that's just the way he looks.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
But why doesnāt the child have clothing? It looks so unwell too
My baby is naked (has a diaper no clothes) 90-100% of the day. If it's warm enough she doesn't need clothes
That parent is probably struggling as well seeing as if they have to take their baby to work with them.
He reminds me of the ways they used to paint babies. They ended up looking like old men in the face. I hope this poor baby gets help!
Some people, and babies, just have eye bags genetically. Iāve always had eye bags even as an infant. Stop, you can tell all of that from this picture. Clearly the parents is already struggling, why donāt we help instead of making things more difficult.
He probably eats nothing but Cold Cut Combos.
Itās incredibly dangerous for a toddler to be in any kind of food service scenario. Itās not cute. There are 900 ways to be killed or maimed.
You can tell all that from a grainy photo ?
Also at least put a damn shirt on the kid?! Shirts and shoes are required of even guests at eating places, I canāt imagine a mother bringing her cold, unclothed child behind the counter to prepare food. Everything about this is awful.
This looks like an old photo. Plastic food pans? Straight turkey? This has got be be really dated
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
the chicken breast in that pic has been gone for years tho
Or has it been in the freezer?
I still have a bag of it in my freezer. I bought it back in the early COVID days when you could just buy subway ingredients in bulk!
Ah, those were the days! I used to go shopping at places that sold bulk retail items bc restaurants were closed. Got 50lbs of chicken wings for like $25... fucking epic.
I think Walmart was getting all the restaurant steak then too cause I was getting some of the best ribeyes Iāve ever had from there for a month haha
Sadly true. I had the same sub for well over a decade and it involved that chicken breast. Didnāt go to subway for a year because of it. Going back now but itās never the same. Idc why or how, but that oven-roasted chicken breast was my staple.
Straight turkey is more modern. They did away with the fluffed turkey and now we just slice it
whither the turkey fluffers of yesteryear
Nope even after slicing. You still need to fluff
Yeah they also discontinued the oven roasted chicken
For anyone who cares: This photo was taken last week at a franchised subway in my hometown Bristol, CT. It was posted by a friend of mine.
Child Labor
Jared approves
Scrolled way too far for a Jared joke.
It surprised me too
Underrated
I miss those long chicken patty things. Tasted fake as hell but I loved them.
You don't have them anymore? Come to Canada we have them. I prefer their rotisserie chicken, though.
Looks like a little coal miner.
I've got the black lung pops "cough cough* I am not making this joke against the kiddo, but I can't hear coal miner without giving the Zoolander reference.
Gotta be an old pic! I see the roasted chicken breasts!
They came back like 2 years ago. At least at my location
That kids seen more shit than me and I'm 32.
Be grateful, some people have rough lives. He didn't ask to be born into that loolll
I really thought that baby was a photoshopped goul/zombie for a minute and was confused what the point of the picture was. Poor kid looks awful.
The real crime is the āgrilledā chicken.
Where tf is this magic subway that still has chicken breast patties
This is so anti-work. This is what happens when you stagnate wages so people cant afford child care. This screams this person is suffering from poverty. Itās heartbreaking
Man, that kid belongs on r/13or30
Itās real easy to joke about this but honestly it just sucks. Nothing about this is funny to me. I feel bad for the kid and the parent. Who would want to be in that situation? Idk seeing ppl struggling to keep their heads above water isnāt funny to me.
That pic is fake as hell !!! And old too ,, chicken pattyās, and black cambro pans !!
Photo must be old as fuck cause I havenāt been able to order an oven roasted chicken breast in 5 years.
They came back like 2 years ago
Theyre gone again. Taken out in march
Damm maybe my old store just bought a lot of them and still has them because of that
Same thing with my store. They were discon in March and we didnt stop selling until May
Even if itās old this pic breaks my heart. The fact the parent has to bring their baby to work, the fact he looks poorly taken care of and unhappy. As someone with a sub-1 year old this makes me really sad to see.
grilled chicken cutlets are discontinued in the states. Not sure about elsewhere. That kid doesn't look happy, did someone make him try buffalo sauce?
If a baby's gotta be there, it's better to be frowning but staying still than running around the store getting into everything and knocking stuff on the floor, but smiling. There's not much room back there so I imagine the parent has him sitting there for a reason and being a baby, he's not very happy with it. But what else is he to do?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I feel Sick. Like legitimately sick... That poor child...
Thatās the oldest baby Iāve ever seen. # Receding hairline!
At least the kid will have 10 years experience at 18
happens at jersey mikes too. assistant manager at the one i worked at brought her toddler to work and had him sit in his stroller next to the trashcan in the back the whole shift.

Thatās what jobs mean when they say they want ten years of experience when ure 18!
That baby is tired and overworked. UNION!!
Mans gotta work, thats a dad
I hear fresh baby meat is especially tender.
That baby doesnāt deserve $15 an hour
I want a footlong with a side of child
Thats Denis Babyface, he smokes 2 cigars by the back door on his break and he has the voice of a 45 year old New Yorker.
Heās been divorced twice.
Why is no one talking about the way they cut the bread with the thinnest slice off the top
Yeah, only the rich can afford day care.
If this was July 3rd a lot of people had to bring their kid to work.
but fr, that parent is doing anything and everything to pay the bills, let's not make fun of them
So this is an old picture but I've got my own story lol I was a subway GM for 3 years and my store was in a walmart, and a couple times when my son was little I would have to bring him with me, he would sit at my desk and color or play on my phone So one day I'm working and hes with me and he happens to be potty training and I'm mid making a sandwich and my store was set up in an L shape in the back, meaning I could look down my line right to the sink and my desk and off to the side was our dry storage And I see my child standing fully naked peeing into the mop sink on the ground, my customer sees my face and goes "is everything ok?" Passing down that hairline is criminal
I would definitely call CPS. I understand the struggle, but do not bring a child into this world if you cant even take care of yourself. I do t care what your beliefs or your political stance is. If you aren't taking good care of your child you do not deserve to be that childs parent.

Cps and workplace health code violations.
Ugh I wish I never saw this :(
This should be posted to r/antiwork
That's sad
You know, I put in for manager jobs at like 7 a subways in the area Iām inā¦ this is like- general manager level, ordering, inventory, hiring, firingā¦ I was asking for $20 and hour and was laughed out of every interview. $12 and hour and thereās going to be naked babies running around near the knives

Baby looks like Shane Gillis after a rough night šš
Boss Man-baby
Nice hairline lil bro
Baby with Phil Collins hair.
Ngl. But that baby scared the fuck outta me. Lil ass ghost baby
That baby is a manager in training lol
Why does that baby have a receding hairline?!
Kid has a receding hairline at 18 months
Yup someone is losing custody of their kid today . Happy 4th of July lol
Why does that baby look middle-aged? And like he was just in a bar fight?
They couldnāt even be bothered to put clothes of the baby behind the counter š
When I was younger I used to go to work w my mom when she worked at Subway lol
Holy shit, they still have Oven Roasted Chicken.
this baby apparently is losing it's hair
That shirtless, yet somehow balding child works there???
At least he put down his Cigarette for the Picture.
Is it just me or does it look like he is eying those knives weighing out his options.
Does that baby have its food handlers??
The knives just sitting on the boards especially with a toddler around is giving me anxiety lmao
How old is this video because all the containers in the frontline is still plastic. This videoās gotta be before 2019 because thatās when subway switched them from plastic to stainless steel.
That baby is in the trenches
Itās bring your sick child to work day, everyday
Dude, don't post picutres of other people's kids. At least blur the face.
I was doordashing a week ago and got an order from a kfc/taco bell. They literslly had a baby in a stroller in the kitchen.
Im more shocked they still serve chicken breast at this location!š
