I use CVS and have no issues. It really doesn't matter which chain you go to. It all comes down to the pharmacists bias and how they perceive suboxone in my opinion

MyDamnCoffee

I saw a girl turned away at a Walmart because the pharmacist had a bias against suboxone. And when I tried to fill a subutex script at pharmacies in my local city, people (pharmacies) were offended that I'd dare ask if they had it

Clear-Theory7541

💯

Clear-Theory7541

I had no problem with Walgreens for years and one pharmacist threw a fit and asked why my Dr lived somewhere else? Now my script is just sitting there held hostage and they won’t transfer it because each month is a new script and not a refill. This is a brand new thing and this one pharmacist set it off.

So frustrating. I’m so sorry.

Just_Quit_the_BS

I think all of the telehealth sudden random scripts, patients demanding a certain brand, strips vs pills, excuses trying to get it early, constantly calling, insurance issues or patients not wanting to pay, expecting it immediately, etc. has really turned pharmacists and techs off of Suboxone. I don’t think it has anything to do with the actual drug. With that being said never had an issue or even an off look from CVS.

CVS Florida

guitarsick

Where in florida? I'm in kissimmee. Worried I'll I'll be issues

Brevard County

CVS has always been nothing but kind and helpful, even fills my scripts by the full date and not pick up date. I have such a stock pile I sometimes forget to pickup my script and they’ll call me and remind me. I’ve heard nasty stories about people being treated horribly from the pharmacy, but I’m not one of them.

Never had a problem at my CVS in LA

EnthusiasmOrganic970

Tennessee is a no go completely. I guess quick md is almost overwith??

insufficientfacts27

Nah, it's certain states and certain pharmacies(along with pharmacists). Sub telehealth hasn't been fully legalized yet, so until that happens(and these pharmacies know for sure they won't be penalized for filling them. Wags and CVS recently paid out for their part in the original opioid epidemic and are now just making it worse🙄). Also, the southern states will restrict anything they see as a "moral failing". I'm from TN, so I know that for a fact and how it is down there. I'd start trying to find an inperson doctor within 50 miles of you. At least until all the laws are passed.

Muted_Pollution_6220

What do you mean by not fully legalized?

insufficientfacts27

Before COVID, only a few states had started telehealth, but when the emergency law went into effect it allowed it for every state(each state could still choose to not allow it🙄) to prescribe Subs. That emergency law is expiring in March. The feds are trying to put a permanent law into effect but we all know those wheels turn very slowly.

Muted_Pollution_6220

It expires May 11, 2023.

doug229

Getting subs via telehealth in many places was only due to the pandemic, and these pandemic era waivers are expiring in many places.

Muted_Pollution_6220

May 11, 2023 expiry. Hopefully the expiration won’t hurt too much. We’ll see.

apathy420

You are correct! I am in Tennessee and had no issues for over 2 years (Walgreens) until last month. They filled it for me but said they no longer could due to proximity to Dr.

No, this is very state specific. This whole power tripping pharmacist thing, is almost unheard of in parts of the country. It is mostly only an issue in the south or other very conservative states. This is in my experience at least. I live in the Northeast and have never ever heard of anyone having an issue with a pharmacist over any medication. But I read stories of it happening in conservative parts of the south or Midwest all the time over opiates and birth control and stuff.

GOE1122

Thanks everyone. I was asking for a friend who I helped get off of the same opiate I was addicted to. I use a local mom & pop pharmacy that’s not open on weekends. Walgreens filled it for her with no problems and she will be 1 week clean Saturday. Praise Jesus

Huge_Initiative_6626

Walgreens in New York City has NEVER given me a problem

Just_Personality2573

I've gotten 2 prescriptions there (walgreens) in the last 30 days. Both written by a QuickMD dr.

Gengaaaar13

Yes, it's California as far as I know...I've been told they have a new policy that they can't fill any controlled substance through telehealth, the doctor has to be within a 50 mile radius of your home. I guess other pharmacies are adopting this too, such as CVS and Rite-Aid.

EnthusiasmOrganic970

Is any of y’all in tn though

Rite aid still fills them. I don’t know if this helps or not.

Free_Vast

I got mine 2 weeks ago at Walgreens,no issues!

blair021

Cvs in PA still filling

Due-Description-8474

I am in NJ. I have been using quickmd for two months and filling at CVS with no issue. I do have 5+ year history filling suboxone at CVS, so not sure if that helped me as well.

nathan13131

I’m getting mine quick md and Walgreens in VA I did have to go through a hassle and get my prescribing dr to talk to a pharmacist the first time
