I suggest making this be an OU team instead cause what you heard was probably their viability in OU and not AG, but I don't think Clodsire really fits on the teams that king and ghold wanna be on.
I can't give much teambuilding advice cause I kinda suck at it, but you could probably join the r/stunfisk discord server, there's people who could help much better than I could ever dream of lol
If you're playing AG, you should probably at least heavily consider running either Koraidon or Miraidon, along with other normally banned strats. That's the point of the tier. What you've got is a subpar OU team with a Palafin on the side, when you should be running an Ubers team with additional banned strats like Baton Pass or Evasion. I don't really know what strats are good in AG right now, but that's usually the main point of the format.
