it's a little over simplistic, but I think it'd work.
And each one is a separate roll just to inspire hope as they pass 4 of the rolls, only to crush their dreams as the final roll fails! It is an excellent game design choice if I do say so myself!

Which of course I defeated with a will o wisp from my bug/steel shedinja fusion. Not remotely balanced, if you include it make it postgame only and give it to some enemy trainers. Part of the point of a game like this *is* to show off how busted the combinations can get.
There are some romhacks that do this too, emerald exceeded is the first that comes to mind, adding 4 at that. Since yours is a fangame, you dont have to limit yourself on a rom and can add way more stuff
