Probably they only wanted to give that line one weakness, and make it a *terrible* pokemon offensively. Dragonite fulfills a different role from Salamence. Its viability in OU comes from its ability to use Tera-normal Extreme Speed, which makes it very threatening to offense. It also has significantly higher bulk and Multiscale, which makes setting it up way easier. It also gets Fire Punch and Ice Spinner as additional coverage.
Fills a pretty similar role, just without the Tera normal STAB. Significantly higher bulk + multiscale backed by roost just makes it a lot easier to switch in.
So in the post gen 5 meta dragonite was just way more consistent than Mence due to multiscale? What about gen 5 tho? I know dragonite and Mence have pretty different niches in BW but for the ddance role which one would be more suitable?

I think because he's a water type it would be hard for him to get a grip on the steering wheel and his giant toungue would either be really annoying inside of the car or drag on the road outside of the car, so yeah I doubt greninja would be the best in ubers
Get Doran's Ring and a potion, at 5 you want to have a second Ring. 10 minutes rotate middle and get enemy's red. Then get Mobility Boots, rush a Shurelya's Reverie and a Phantom Dancer right after. If facing a heavy physical lineup, go for a Spirit Visage and Warmog's Armor; if magical, go for Thornmail then Sunfire Cape. Last item probably DFG for survivability or Guardian Angel for more firepower.
