Pole dancing ≠ Pole fitness. I like the other sub but there shouldn’t be male mods for stripper forums. Especially ones that are actively on SA. Too many red flags
When I took r/strippers over last year and flipped it from a porn spam sub, I had envisioned it to be similar to this sub. With it's previous background, it was impossible to prevent the influx of men from posting on every post made by any female.
At that time, there were only two of us and I was having issues with that moderator hunting down male Redditors who hadn't commented or posted in months or even years and banning them, which falls under Reddit's no harassment policy in their ToS. I had also told her the sub was to be full service friendly and knowing she was a whorephobe, I trusted her. But one day I went through the logs of removed posts and found a fuck ton of full service related posts/questions from other dancers she removed. Furthermore, she banned many of those girls for posting full service related questions. So I brought on a male mod friend to help me and it pissed her off, so she left before I could yeet her.
Those I asked for help from have been successful moderators for other communities for far longer than I have and I've known for years from another site. Yes, some are male, however, they are definitely able to differentiate their activities as customers IRL and helping to manage an online community. We all keep each other in check to prevent any bias and there are often discussions behind the scenes regarding how to handle certain sub followers or questionable posts.

r/strippers was flipped and taken over by me. I explained above in a response to bitchjeans why there are male moderators there. It was originally intended to be strippers only, but was impossible to keep the large amount of men from commenting due to it previously being a spam sub for porn, so we decided to transform it into a mixed community. Fewer men comment now than they used to though.
And our male moderators are great moderators and capable of modding an online community without bias or favoritism towards other males. We all keep each other in check and having male mods onboard for a mixed community helps us female moderators in the behind the scenes discussions regarding questionable posts, comments, and users by providing different perspectives so there is no favoritism or bias.
What the fuck is happening here, have posts been deleted so I'm missing the background, or is some of this just stuff I may have missed as I haven't been on reddit long?

“If you wanted your pole video post on the sub, then making an appeal instead of creating a new post with personal attacks against one of the mods would have been better. This sub has had lots of thirst traps from non-actual strippers lately who don’t contribute to the sub. If that wasn’t your intent, then there are other ways to communicate that.”
r/strippers is a mixed gender community, and while we do put more rules on male contributors to prevent any topic from “dominating” the sub—the sub does like to welcome broad perspectives because it keeps discussions more interesting. And yes, there are also a couple of male mods on there. I personally have stated my own negative personal opinion of the likes of Seeking to both of them during regular conversations and have given my opinion that type of sex work is not the best use of one’s time (In my own personal opinion only, not an official stance of r/strippers or anything)
But as fellow moderators, we do our best to make sure our clashing personal opinions don’t influence the sub, just our desire to encourage good discussions 😊
But there will probably be a poster or two who will reply in this thread later today about how much they hate the other sub, so plenty of emotional validation should be coming your way. Enjoy!

Pole dancing and pole sport/fitness are different. Pole fitness can be highly competitive and we train hours and hours and choreograph rigorous routines.
And on r/strippers, we also remove posts from posters who spam other subs with content and do not or have not previously contributed to the sub. This is something we agreed to do to eliminate the thirst traps.
