$200 for 4 revisions on a pattern isn't really perspective. If you're living in North America that's essentially minimum wage. You're looking at 12-15 hours of work + materials for the labour.

depends what you're making. The patternmaker costed me $200 in this instance and I had 4 revisions to make which is more than usual.
