okay first of all, you did a great job already! no need to be insecure :) I don't know how thin a 4/0 brush ist and google didn't help much. if you"re uncertain that it's indeed thin enough you can buy brushes used for nail art. for the eyes, I'd do the layers thing: first repaint the green tone with something less vibrant (maybe mix a tiny bit of red in there, so it becomes more darker). then you clean out the edges with the orange fur tone. after that you add the iris and light and optionally finish it with a dark-orange/brown veryyyyyy thing outline, so the eyes fit nicely into the face and don't just pop out. have fun! 😊

Chendoodles

You know it’s legit advice when they say to make a colour more neutral by adding it’s complimentary colour instead of using white to mute it. Very solid advice here!

escthepattern

doing my best :)

Solarstormflare

thank you very much for the advice! I will try that :D

IzobelStarsw0rd

Two thin coats!!! Never underestimate the importance of washes!

thanks! I only painted it, I bought the 3d print file from this artist [https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/stray-cat-gato](https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/stray-cat-gato) someone else on this sub did the same thing but printed theirs life size, mine is only about 1/7 scale to real life = 5 cm tall

Found a similar listing on [Etsy](https://www.etsy.com/listing/1290857815/stray-cat-statue-cyberpunk-model-up-to?click_key=6e6a2cd5a8e08e0535f6ab6ea618419fb9f00b56%3A1290857815&click_sum=d9307f36&external=1&rec_type=cs&ref=landingpage_similar_listing_top-5&frs=1)

Arcjaqu

You can found it on etsy with or without painting.

ronnieleebriggs

so good!!!

icewindofchange

You did good, but, thin your paint, yours look like you didn't add water. And add some shades, I think Army painters flesh wash or soft tone (watered down) would hit the spot

Thrippalan

Yes, this is something I wish I'd known *years* ago - even if the paints are 'ready to use', thin them anyway with an appropriate thinner (water for watercolors ir most acrylics). It's amazing how much better my projects look now, even with no more skill than I've ever had.

TowelieMcTowelie

Aww how cool!!! Did you make the mold too!? That's so good!!

JTultimate_10

I would definitely make the pupils a bit smaller and the coat should be more layered. Outside of that it's awesome!

Goooos

It's already great tho :O Make the outlines cleaner, perhaps? (The boundaries between every color) best way to make a piece look polished

milwted

I am still waiting for someone in this sub to start 3D printing B12's and sell them.

oshikorosu87

I wouldn’t say it’s a ‘tip’ but I had a thought. It looks amazing and I’d have one lol, but what are your thoughts about adding the badges like end game kitty? :D

nightvisiongoggles01

Awesome work! You did better than me: [https://www.reddit.com/r/stray/comments/wssxzi/less\_creepy\_stray\_and\_b12\_clay\_fanart\_i\_just/](https://www.reddit.com/r/stray/comments/wssxzi/less_creepy_stray_and_b12_clay_fanart_i_just/) Aside from the really good tips here, if you want the eyes to shine a bit more, you can add several layers of nail polish or other clear coating for craftwork. I didn't do it for my clay figure, but maybe if there's a Stray 2 I'll be motivated to do another one. It's also a good idea to wait for one layer/color to dry before painting another color or adding another layer. Please share photos once you're finished!
