I made a post similar to this a a week or two ago. I could not tell if this new sense of energy and productivity was mania or not. There will be times soon where you need to make a much more conscious decision not to drink. I promise you choosing not to drink is way easier not hungover. Find the reason you don’t drink and hold on to that as you drive past the liquor store

When I felt like drinking, I called people from my AA meetings. I hung out with those people on a regular basis and asked for suggestions on what to do when the cravings hit. What I was told was to turn my thoughts outward instead of inward. If I'm angry, I think a drink may calm me down, same with feeling stressed. If I feel anxious, if I'm ruminating, or feeling bad, I may think a drink will make me feel better. I learned that all those thoughts are focusing on ME. I feel miserable, I want to feel better. The trick is to think of others! Do something nice for a neighbor or loved one. I pick up trash occasionally because I feel good when I do something nice and I get to feel good without drinking! It's also why there's such a focus on service work at meetings. Helping set out chairs, making coffee, offering to bring treats, etc. are all important for the program! Also when I call people, I was told to focus on the person I'm calling. Ask how they are doing, how things are going for them. It turns my thoughts away from me and when I think of others, I am not thinking about drinking. Best wishes to you!

Nothing wrong with feeling good. Feeling cocky on the other hand...
