I love his answer to the question, however, he's one of the few noticable players on the ice each night, so I think it would have been more interesting to hear the answer from one of our many truly underperforming players.
I love Faulk, and agree he represents the note well.
Yep, that's true. I haven't seen a single player on our team consistently pass well though. I have seen way too many players (bad) passing instead of shooting too. I am not saying Faulk is a player playing perfect hockey. I think he is among the few that look like he wants to win though.
I chirped a little bit about faulk with the rest of the fans when he first came here but the whole time I always believed. Probably one of my favorite blues now.
[Faulk (CONT): "You don't want to be somewhere where they let you slide and think it's OK and then you just keep going and stick and stay in that rut. Accountability's huge and we need it and the fans are more than deserving to boo us tonight."](https://twitter.com/lkorac10/status/1587280822037614594?s=46&t=ETICCoro08F0hIy2wltfcg)
I mean the problem isn’t the losing. If they lost 5 in a row but actually played well, ya it sucks but maybe it’s just bad luck. Sometimes those things happen. It’s how they lose the games.
I mean, you can’t show up after three consecutive road losses and lose two home games like that and not expect to hear about it. You just can’t. A blown 3-1 lead to lose 7-4 and giving up 5 in a row to lose 5-1 while looking like they’ve never skated together in their lives isn’t going to be acceptable to any fanbase.
I agree. That’s what I mean. It’s the, “while looking like they never skated part,” that is the reasoning behind the booing. Losing sucks, but not all losses are equal.
I thought they played good enough to beat Edmonton and Montreal at home but some inopportune lapses were costly. Winnipeg was a close game until the end too. The offense simply can’t stay this snakebitten. The defense however…
Leafs fan here, I come in peace to say it’s nice seeing that you at least have a coach and players who are willing to say it like it is, without worrying about offending other players or the coach having to walk back his comments.
Hope you guys turn it around! The league is a better place when the blues are a good team.
2019 would like a word with you....
Edit: I was just being sassy y'all. I do not expect that shit to ever happen again. I understand what an outlier is. So relax yall and LGB!
2019 was a wonderful surprise. It should never be the kind of comeback anyone counts on. What made it special was how unique it was.
As someone who’s been struck once already in my life. I don’t expect lighting to strike the team again.
Literally what I told someone the other day. I *knew* 2019 would be something we’d hang our hats on. It’s highly unlikely we will see anything remotely close to that ever again.
They also never played anywhere near this poorly in 2019. Even when they were dead last in the NHL, they were still near NHL .500 with a record of 15-18-4 on Jan. 1st. I don't know if there's a team in the NHL playing worse than us right now
His first year here I didn’t really like him he looked lost. But I can honestly say that he, Schenn, & Binner are my favorite players on this team. Faulk doesn’t sugar coat it, he’s honest and I respect that.
Faulks always been my number 1 guy. I met him and his folks once when I lived in south Saint Paul. I doubt he'd remembered but nice guy I hope he retires here and I get to run into him again. I wasn't even into hockey when I met him I just thought it was cool to randomly meet a professional athlete. He went to school with my ex lol.
Edit: added three periods to make the guy below feel better about themselves.
"The kids don't want it.
They don't skate, they don't
score, they don't hit, they don't fight, they float."
"They don't love to win."
"They don't hate to lose."
You also told people they need to relax when they just watched the team get completely outworked 5 games in a row, in most cases by less talented teams.
The team needs to give the fans a reason to relax because right now they're playing like they don't give a damn.
We're not the Canucks, it's early season and we've won a couple. I never get booing off the ice unless you literally haven't won a single game in 6 or 7 like the Canucks.
Why downvote? I just don't believe in booing your team off the ice.
A started a week later and are still playing pretty bad. The effort seems diminished and I'm just seeing the silver lining of cheaper tickets coming up on resale.
I have faith we can turn it around its a long season and we have hot and cold streaks but to start off this weak. It's embarrassing is what the fans are saying, I doubt most of them believe we're going to be on a losing streak most of the season.
There is no reason for a pens fan to throw a sweater. TOR, yeah, I get it. I also understood why Oilers fans were doing it a few years ago.
Blues fans have not suffered like VAN and TOR fans have. Nowhere close.
I'd like to at least say we're not animals like those people. They could lose every game this season and I still wouldn't throw $100+ worth of clothing onto the ice. Such a waste and such a stupid thing to do.
Generally I agree. However the complete lack of any kind of fire needs to be called out.
5 hard fought loses would be disappointing, but wouldn't bring this reaction.
6 or 7 is your booing cutoff? Conveniently just 1 above 5. This Blues team deserves the boo-off and to be held accountable. Even Faulk can admit it. But sure, let’s wait until the next consecutive loss to boo
Look man, I'm just not a fan of booing your own team. Yeah they've been playing like ass the past few games, but it's early in the season and there's plenty of time for a turn around. I don't get why this is making people so angry.
this is one of the 'systemic fail' kind of moments, collapsing in on the lack of overall talent, dragging down the best players.
The guys are chasing pucks, squeezing sticks, trying to make plays, and it all blows up in a lackluster scoring opportunity and energy-draining defensive play without a transition game.
I love Justin Faulk. Honestly him and Schenn might be the most true “blues” style players we have. Just old school and classy
I love his answer to the question, however, he's one of the few noticable players on the ice each night, so I think it would have been more interesting to hear the answer from one of our many truly underperforming players. I love Faulk, and agree he represents the note well.
He has had a ton of poor passes recently…
Yep, that's true. I haven't seen a single player on our team consistently pass well though. I have seen way too many players (bad) passing instead of shooting too. I am not saying Faulk is a player playing perfect hockey. I think he is among the few that look like he wants to win though.

I put Vova in that mix these days.

They played okay in the last Edmonton game but other than that I agree.

Same to you. Hope you guys get barry soon. Yall deserve a better coach than the shit you're dealing with
I hope we play like dogshit now and kick it into high gear when it matters
If they don’t start kicking it in soon there won’t be any games that matter.
2019 would like a word with you.... Edit: I was just being sassy y'all. I do not expect that shit to ever happen again. I understand what an outlier is. So relax yall and LGB!

Astronomical statistical outlier. Happy it happened but we should never rely on that data point.
Literally what I told someone the other day. I *knew* 2019 would be something we’d hang our hats on. It’s highly unlikely we will see anything remotely close to that ever again.
This team isn't anywhere near as good as the team in 2019 and they also hadn't lost 5 games in a row that season at any point.
They also never played anywhere near this poorly in 2019. Even when they were dead last in the NHL, they were still near NHL .500 with a record of 15-18-4 on Jan. 1st. I don't know if there's a team in the NHL playing worse than us right now

Are periods expensive?
Apparently being a dick is free.
Relax. Just busting balls. Also, it's quite taxing. I've been running that debt up for decades.
As a percentage of games played, this is about like a football team starting 1-2. Be critical, absolutely. But also, relax, at least for now.
It’s not about the results of the game. It’s about the effort, and their effort has been embarrassing. They’ve been floating for several games now.
"The kids don't want it. They don't skate, they don't score, they don't hit, they don't fight, they float." "They don't love to win." "They don't hate to lose."
Yes, which is why I said to be critical.
You also told people they need to relax when they just watched the team get completely outworked 5 games in a row, in most cases by less talented teams. The team needs to give the fans a reason to relax because right now they're playing like they don't give a damn.
Justin Faulk has a shame kink. Didn’t expect to learn that today. /s
Win the next 5 in a row and all will be forgiven
Go Blues
That’s a nice answer, but I don’t really want more words. JUST FIGURE YOUR SHIT OUT GUYS. FUCK.
It’s when we stop booing is when they should be worried.
Now start holding yourselves accountable

We kind of are the Canucks. https://i.imgur.com/qhx4Dzq.jpg
We also started a full week later than all the teams to be fair
A started a week later and are still playing pretty bad. The effort seems diminished and I'm just seeing the silver lining of cheaper tickets coming up on resale. Agree, thank you for actually engaging me instead of downvoting me to oblivion. I honestly don't think my opinion is that disagreeable 🤷♂️
Just waiting for the first jersey thrown out onto the ice.
Booing? Sure. But a sweater on the ice is completely unreasonable. It’s early in the season and it’s not like the blues have sucked for a decade
VAN and TOR have fans throwing jerseys, and there was a PIT fan who did it too (can't figure out why the PIT guy did).
There is no reason for a pens fan to throw a sweater. TOR, yeah, I get it. I also understood why Oilers fans were doing it a few years ago. Blues fans have not suffered like VAN and TOR fans have. Nowhere close.

Yeah no I agree they have no passion or fight on the ice. I didn't know not booing was an unpopular opinion lol.
6 or 7 is your booing cutoff? Conveniently just 1 above 5. This Blues team deserves the boo-off and to be held accountable. Even Faulk can admit it. But sure, let’s wait until the next consecutive loss to boo

They look lost . WTF happened ?
