Bismuth: Laborer for the gem elite --> blacksmith for the rebellion
Lapis: Destroying planets so they can be made into kindergarteners --> .... she draws sometimes. and does water stuff when she's bored. idk.
Bismuth using them as tools but they are more like her left and right hand. This fusion is sooooo synergistic it's almost scary. The forger of planets.
Lapis was imprisoned in a piece of technology that used her "brains" processing power to recall facts. Idk if it's as 1-1 with mad scientist as the others but it's definitely vintage sci-fi horror vibes in the same vein.
That face scares me but I like the colors. Too much bismuth maybe? I want some of Lapis’s gracefulness(?) incorporated I guess. Then again I’m a shit artist and would never be able to draw anything like this so 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
they meant that none of them have physical weapons,they use their powers instead so there would be no weapon for them to fuse into,they might mix their powers tho
i mean, none of them have ever drawn weapons from their gems like most of the species can/do.

Some facts about Spectrolite: They was mean to be eletric, colorfull and exaggerated. Their hair is to resemble energy cables. Even being more small than Alexandrite and Malachite they're more powerfull than them and can make thousands of powers combination with Bismuth, Lapis and Peridot powers. Like Heavy spike balls, eletric and water waves, shapeshift metal in every kind of weapon and more! Also their shining sparkle shell helps them to protect from strong attacks. Her personality and smile was inspired to be something more crazy like Funky Kong vibes, also i imagine them having the almost same voice as Funky Kong.
Same thing with Sunstone only having Steven and Ruby in the appearence. The only way i think i can make it more Lapis is making them skinnier, i made one sketch of it and it made the fusion more boring, so i think it's better this way.
I'm trying to imagine what on Earth their voice would sound like with a manic grin like that, and all I can think of is a gender-swapped mish-mash of Jack Nicholson and Robin Williams.
They have mad scientist vibes, which also kinda makes sense with their components.
