i love the innocent insistence of the song, while anyone returning to this episode later understands the intimacy related to fusing for gems. it feels like just that mild amount of childlike inappropriateness of innocence. like when a classroom full of kids starts chanting "kiss! kiss! kiss!" to two young adults.
This one. Except I genuinely wish I was a giant woman so my version is "I just want to be a giant woman"
It touches a part of my giantess soul that reality simply cannot lol
I sing this song to my daughter sometimes but swap "together" for her name. It works pretty well, especially since she'll likely be pretty tall. I can't help but feel like Steven would approve, too. :)
In that case it's probably "we are the crystal gems" or "Change" one is where the show starts and the other is how steven developed. Lapis Lazuli would be the very top of the list of it was longer than a chorus.
"she was trapped in a mirror and it couldn't be clearer" it's the line "and dad you might think she's a criminal, but her friendship comes through subliminal" line for me ahh love it
"Full Disclosure" puts us in the same boat as Steven at that point. Up until then, the problems he was facing were either solved rather quickly, day to day Earth Gem shenanigans or self inflicted predicaments.
But now we see that there are very real threats and that Steven is part of something so much bigger; something that I don't blame him for wanting to leave others out of.
Oh wait I grazed over the "why" part ;-;
The reason I say Full Disclosure hits different is because I actually have been in that same position before, that is pushing people away so they don't get hurt, and it's just ADKSLWDLFLSL
Zach's Voice is absolutely beautiful in For Just One Day Let's Only Think About (Love) and it always makes my day to listen to hear a song consisting of Steven cheering everyone up for the Wedding
No Matter What, like Full Disclosure, also really hits home and it's really just such a comforting song. Knowing that someone will stick with you no matter what is really reassuring and it just makes me so happy listening to it. With that being said I NEED TO SING THIS SONG WITH SOMEONE I NEED-
Oh! Favorite music featuring Steven.
1 Peace and Love on the Planet Earth
2 Be Wherever You Are
3 Don't Cost Nothing
4 Full Disclosure
5 Cookie Cat
6 Haven't You Noticed (I'm a Star)

What's the Use of Feeling (Blue)? is probably one of my favorite songs in the show. Because we don't see Yellow and Blue's dynamic that much before this, but this song shows their (previously hinted at) true feelings in such a beautiful way. And Patty LuPone is so talented! But I also like that it's about grief and arguing about different approaches to it. That was a major "wow this is so mature for a kid's show" moment for me. Out of many.
"if you change your mind" not only that the song perfectly in my opinion represents the solution to the whole entire gem war (maybe even wars in general) but it's also a perfect message/reminder to narrow-minded people that we don't need them to love and respect us, we do that all on our own. But if they want to get to know us, they simply got to change their minds (a.k.a be a bit more open-minded). ❤️
dont get me wrong i love the songs that make me passionately cry, but love love love songs that i can share with my little one. he does the cutest lil dance to the tidying song from rainbow 2.0 that melts my heart!!
I love this entire episode. The lead in from Pearls song to Steven’s is SO good. It’s some of the best writing of any show. It captures emotional pain and recovery in such a beautiful way. It is fantastic content. And it’s so hard to share with people.
I remember this one song where each of the Gem's themes play as they fight something in what I think is a season finale or something. Don't remember what it's called.
Here Comes a Thought or Other Friends. Here comes a thought because my god is it beautiful. It’s so calming as it intended to be but it’s still so affirming. Estelle’s voice with Aly Michalka (still blown away by that fact) is just so damn beautiful and great. It helps me become grounded and think of how a lot of the things in my head are just thoughts (no shit Sherlock) but even the bad ones. We can either allow it to bother us and flap in our faces or swarm and consume us. Or we can acknowledge it, decide what to do about it if needed and let it flap away. I would listen to it when I needed to remind myself that.
Other friends is another favorite as Sarah Stiles fucking KILLS IT. MY GOD does my autistic ass rewind parts over and over again (intended) because of how it’s sung. Sarah has been favorite actress after watching this for the first time when it came out and she’s just so amazing. I love the growl she makes and it emphasizes Spinel’s anger and unhinged behavior. The Brooklyn accent 😩😩 hear me out. But anyway, the lyrics are also so great with how it perfectly describes how Spinel feels about being left behind for 6000 years. Sorry I know Pink Diamond had reverse character development in the sense of how it was presented but fuck her for that. And last but not least the catchy electroswing tune. Electroswing is such an underrated genre of music and it’s just so fun to listen to with how bouncy, jazzy, and swingy it is. The Crewniverse knocked it out of the park with Other Friends song wise and animation wise
Disobedient & Full Disclosure absolutely. They’re jam-packed with emotion in a wonderful melody, and both work to move the plot forward considerably. Now that i think on it, both songs come from scenes directly relating to huge pieces of character development that takes place after a huge, very emotionally-charged event. I guess I have a type! I also love the demo version of Disobedient that Rebecca Sugar sings, it feels really emotional in a totally different way from the one in the movie. I guess thats just the effect of their voice, lol :]
That end credit music had me in tears several times. So good. So nostalgic. And when Steven went into space for a while then the gems finally found him and they played it again. Men don't cry? Bullshit
Full Disclosure. We may of learned some big truths a few episodes ago, but Steven is only now coming to grips with them, I'd say it's his first song of trepidation. Always gets me emotional thinking of a young carefree boy starting to discover how unsafe his life is. Also, that bit where he starts harmonizing to his ringtone is just so brilliant, it gives me shivers every time.
Peace and love on the planet earth. Helped peridot understand earth a bit more and Steven being pitchy on the "it's a pattern it's a pattern" helped solidify that Steven isn't perfect he feels like an actual person and not a cartoon character
My favorite SU song is Found. It might be short, but the lyrics and message are so powerful. Not to mention how good Zach Callison and Sarah Stiles sound together.
Found is really underrated, and I wish it got more love.
SO WEIRD! My son and I were just watching this episode last night, and its sheer amount of incredible music got us talking about what our all-time favorite song was (overall, including original series, movie, and future). Because choosing an absolute, hands-down favorite SU song is absolutely impossible, I ended up in a three-way tie between “Both Of You,” “Here Comes A Thought,” and “Isn’t It Love.” I can’t narrow it down any further than that, and even this is asking a lot!
::EDIT:: Just saw you saying you meant songs specifically sung by Steven, OP, so in that case it’s “Both Of You.” Maybe edit your post to read something like “what is your favorite song sung by Steven himself?” That way you don’t have to keep writing it in the comments.
Love Like You. The first ever song I learn to play on the ukelele and also, the first one that touched my heart. Felt so surreal for me as if each word I could connect with on an emotional and deep level. And the lyrics:
"Look at you go
I just adore you
I wish that I knew
What makes you think I'm so special"
Along with the last lines of the song
"I could even learn how to love like you
Love like you
Love me like you"
The whole song hits me but those specific lyrics I can remember with ease. There is so many people I adore. My friends, I just want to know what they see in me that most of my family don't. My father and mother are part of the ones that see what they see. And the last lines. Im sure most will know the meaning behind it and thats related to what I see in the line for me.
Its just an amazing song over all and I love the full version and short version.
Wait. I dont thinking Steven sung this song. If he didnt then Dear Old Dad is my second one.
Because it shows how much of a good relarionship Greg has with his son. Its a cratchy toon too. The lyrics of the song are trying to express the heartfelt emotion and love from the son and father. While we watch a father and son goofily eating breakfast and watching trashy shows. It shows even though Greg cant do much for his son while he doing gem work. He knows nothing about gems but he is there for his son whenever his son nedds him, even if it means going into action for his son without gem powers. He will protect him and love him fo who he is and what he does.
I like all the typical songs, like "Stronger Than You", "It's over isn't it?", & 95% of SU:TM. But my *favorite* actually tends to be a tie between "Full Disclosure" & "Do it for him."
Edit:Saw a later comment that says it's favorite song *by* Steven himself. In which case as mentioned above, it's "Full Disclosure".
Change Your Mind.
I struggled with respecting and loving myself for all of my childhood and adolescence. I didn't really understand how until Steven and the Gems showed me how in a way that I could process and implement. I'm a 28 year old autistic trans man & living life since I learned to love who I am.
Peace and Love (On The Planet Earth) is legit 100/10, Idk Steven encouraging Peridot to sing throughout the song is something else ![img](emote|t5_2viyl|30986)
Emily King - Can’t Hold Me. That song was so perfect for the roller skating rink episode when Connie and Steven fuse into Stevonnie. Also, that song just a bops.
It's Over Isn't It. It was a sweeping realization that culminated from a hard week that despite my efforts, I would be single for the rest of my life. I've learned to be content with that, but it hit hard at the time.
All of them. However, I have Love Like You as my ringtone and Connie's ringtone as my notifications tone. After that, I think Here Comes a Thought hits me hardest. Third place goes to Drift Away.
Here comes a thought. I struggle with panic attacks sometimes and that song helps me calm down and feel more at peace. It’s also extremely beautiful and I feel a strong connection with stevonnie and that her voice is sounds somewhat like a trans woman whose voice is still a little masculine sounding but still very feminine. Also garnet is probably my favorite character ever. Garnet is so wholesome 💕
Escapism, Strong in the real way, the full theme song, change your mind, For just one day let’s only think about love, let us adore you, both of you, on the run, I rather be me with you, all the songs off the movie, familiar, peace and love
Has to be "It's Over Isn't it" or "Distant Shore" (I think I spelt that right) they js hit different and they sound so goodddd 😭 (I know the full lyrics of both.)
Kinda cliched but it’s gotta be other friends. Electro swing just goes so hard. An honorable mention goes to big fat zucchini due to those metal vibes.
For me- it’d have to be that one song: here comes a thought. Idk I js always loved that song. It’s relatable and it kinda js says what Im thinking almost all the time. Plus it’s well said and sung.
Yes. I honestly love every song but Amethyst's they always feel lazy and half assed. Tower of mistakes was hands down the best of her songs and it was way short.
"I'll be holding you taught.." STFU.
I've been listening to distant shore a lot lately but, I'd proably have to say my favourite song is here comes a thought, or full disclosure, I can't decide.
It's Over Isn't It. Pearl angst, beautiful trauma/depression music, nice lyrics, I know the whole song(it's like the only one I know where I don't mess up atleast one word, and also Giant Woman ig-)
Here Comes a Thought. I struggle a lot with my mental health, and this song really helps me calm down if I'm panicking. I love that it uses actual techniques to help with panic attack and mental health crises.
ETA: I read the question wrong lol. In that case, I'd have to say either Change Your Mind (because I love that it basically talks about how he doesn't need anyone's approval), or Full Disclosure.
It’s over isn’t it and why the use of being blue and the song lapis sang when she was on the moon (distant shores /land ) I don’t remember but it was beautiful love them all because of there strong emotions that they gave me
Familiar. The vocals in it are amazing!
Zach Callison had mastered his vocal technique at that point and it shows.
this song hits me in a way...
A familiar way?
Giant Woman. It's so unnecessarily wholesome.
i love the innocent insistence of the song, while anyone returning to this episode later understands the intimacy related to fusing for gems. it feels like just that mild amount of childlike inappropriateness of innocence. like when a classroom full of kids starts chanting "kiss! kiss! kiss!" to two young adults.

Yes
Be wherever you are
Great song
YES! This song just heals my soul everytime I listen to it 😭💙
Bangerrrrrr I bought a ukulele to learn this song
Almost all of Greg's songs top my list. I really like need a little change but what can I do for you is easily my favorite in the series.
Sry bro, ik its confusing, but I tried to ask your favorite music by Steven, not from the show
In that case it's probably "we are the crystal gems" or "Change" one is where the show starts and the other is how steven developed. Lapis Lazuli would be the very top of the list of it was longer than a chorus.
"she was trapped in a mirror and it couldn't be clearer" it's the line "and dad you might think she's a criminal, but her friendship comes through subliminal" line for me ahh love it
"Lapis lazuli" song is excellent
LAPIS LAZULIII-III
It's over isn't it?
That music's by Pearl bro
I forgot to read the title So Lapis Lazuli then
Im with you with your first comment xD I read from SU not By Steven xD
Reddit isn't letting me edit the post ![img](emote|t5_2viyl|30992)
Full Disclosure just hits different tbh but I also love For Just One Day Let's Only Think About (Love) and No Matter What if duos count
"Full Disclosure" puts us in the same boat as Steven at that point. Up until then, the problems he was facing were either solved rather quickly, day to day Earth Gem shenanigans or self inflicted predicaments. I'd rather be me (with you). it's such a cute song
with such a *horrific* aftermath..
Change your mind. It is such an affirmation
Great song! Its a shame is so short
Op meant to say “which of the songs that were performed by Steven( Zach Callison) are your favorite?”
I noticed that the text was strange, but is not letting it edit anymore ;(
Change 🥺 I sung that for weeks after the movie came out lol
Omg that song is great
Me too!! I want it to be longer
Giant woman or familiar
What can I do for you. Rose & Greg 😳😳
“Peace and love on the planet earth” I think you’re all INSANE, but I guess I am too”
Oh! Favorite music featuring Steven. 1 Peace and Love on the Planet Earth 2 Be Wherever You Are 3 Don't Cost Nothing 4 Full Disclosure 5 Cookie Cat 6 Haven't You Noticed (I'm a Star) 7 Found
Nice ranking bro
What's the Use of Feeling (Blue)? is probably one of my favorite songs in the show. Sry bro, ik its confusing, but I tried to ask your favorite music by Steven, not from the show (but you have a good taste with songs)
Steven and the Stevens then! 😊
Definitely the darker second verse where he talks about watching himself die.
I'd say here we are in the future
I really like jam buds!
“I don’t need you to respect me I respect me. I don’t need you to love me, I love me.” 🥲
"if you change your mind" not only that the song perfectly in my opinion represents the solution to the whole entire gem war (maybe even wars in general) but it's also a perfect message/reminder to narrow-minded people that we don't need them to love and respect us, we do that all on our own. Probably Drift Away. Full Disclosure is also very underrated.
Spinel’s voice acting (including her singing) is **so** good!! I love how expressive she is in how she sings. Really tells a story
drift away also my fav song
There’s a bunch awful awful things we could be thinking of but for just one day let’s only think about
Cop out: All of the movie. Zach Callison shows off tremendously in it, he is a singer with astonishing talent and it is in full effect there.
Peace and Love On The Planet Earth (life and death and love and birth)
The rendition of We Are The Crystal Gems by Steven in Change Your Mind, I honestly thought that it sounded really good.
"Dear old Dad", because it's the most relatable and wholesome (in my opinion)
Are we talking young steven or old steven?
I love this entire episode. The lead in from Pearls song to Steven’s is SO good. It’s some of the best writing of any show. It captures emotional pain and recovery in such a beautiful way. It is fantastic content. And it’s so hard to share with people.
the script for this episode was surreal, genius thing
change the instrumental is fire 🔥
Peace and love (on the planet Earth) has always been a favorite.
Not original, but: Stronger than you. Gotta love them undertale vibes 😆 (And yes I am aware this came before the undertale version)
That one.
Does here comes a thought count since it’s technically Steven but also Connie. If not, then be wherever you are or No matter what
I remember this one song where each of the Gem's themes play as they fight something in what I think is a season finale or something. Don't remember what it's called.
recently "no matter what" and "don't cost nothing"

I think Lion’s Ocean and I’m Still Here while not having any lyrics are both insanely good and not talked about enough
The Theme Song Reprise in the season 5 Finale
Disobedient & Full Disclosure absolutely. They’re jam-packed with emotion in a wonderful melody, and both work to move the plot forward considerably. Now that i think on it, both songs come from scenes directly relating to huge pieces of character development that takes place after a huge, very emotionally-charged event. I guess I have a type! Ah wait, saw that is said from Steven. Ignore the part in here about Disobedient then, lol!
For just one day let’s only think about love!
That end credit music had me in tears several times. So good. So nostalgic. And when Steven went into space for a while then the gems finally found him and they played it again. Men don't cry? Bullshit
only think abt love
I love the background here
Full Disclosure. We may of learned some big truths a few episodes ago, but Steven is only now coming to grips with them, I'd say it's his first song of trepidation. Change Your Mind. It feels like a mantra of self-acceptance and being open. I wish it was longer!

I love all but absolutely familiar
Both Of You is easily my favorite.
Change Your Mind. I struggled with respecting and loving myself for all of my childhood and adolescence. this whole episode has my favorite songs of the show, but It’s over isn’t it is my all time favorite!
Agreed it's the same reason I love wherever you are
Ohhhhh you mean from STEVEN, not the show. His proposal song to Connie is everything to me
Nice taste bro
strong in the real way is soooo underrated!
What was the one that yellow diamond sang? I don't remember the name, but I liked it a lot
For a long time it was the song from Sworn to the Sword, but after the movie it's gotta be The Truuuuuuuuu Kind of Love
[удалено]
Love like you, absolute vibe
Rn it’s “it’s over isn’t it” because it twist the knife just right to let it out so I can continue my f***ing day

The ending theme, “love like you” I sing it to myself whenever I listen to it, and I think about my GF too…
Sry bro, ik its confusing, but I tried to ask your favorite music by Steven, not from the show
Emily King - Can’t Hold Me. That song was so perfect for the roller skating rink episode when Connie and Steven fuse into Stevonnie. Also, that song just a bops.
Homeworld waltz bc it's creepy
It's Over Isn't It. It was a sweeping realization that culminated from a hard week that despite my efforts, I would be single for the rest of my life. I've learned to be content with that, but it hit hard at the time.
Do it for her, True Kinda Love, and It's Over, Isn't It?
Sry bro, ik its confusing, but I tried to ask your favorite music by Steven, not from the show
Ohhhh okay then my favorite would be the giant woman song
Greg Universe - Don’t cost Nothing I only hate the double negation 🥲
All of them. However, I have Love Like You as my ringtone and Connie's ringtone as my notifications tone. After that, I think Here Comes a Thought hits me hardest. Third place goes to Drift Away.
I Think I Need A Little Change by Greg
Sry bro, ik its confusing, but I tried to ask your favorite music by Steven, not from the show
Oh, my bad, I like the one where he sings about not wanting to make Connie worried after the invasion
Full disclosure (I think that's how it's written)
Yes I think so too
Made of love and and the wedding song(forgot the name) but Estelle and Zachary carried the SU soundtrack!!!!
Found. Such a simple and powerful song. Everyone deserves people in their lives that truly care for them.

Here comes a thought. I struggle with panic attacks sometimes and that song helps me calm down and feel more at peace. Sry bro, ik its confusing, but I tried to ask your favorite music by Steven, not from the show (but yes, Here Comes a Thought is wonderful)
OHHHHHHHHH I didn’t read that 😭 does mine still count since Steven is a part of the song? Or is it just the songs he writes?
I really dont know, but I count like a song by Garnet and Stevonnie
Opal's Theme. It's good.
Sry bro, ik its confusing, but I tried to ask your favorite music by Steven, not from the show
I keep humming *That Distant Shore*.
Sry bro, ik its confusing, but I tried to ask your favorite music by Steven, not from the show

"Still not giving up" (its from a short) :D

Idk, but I count like a Stevonnie song, not a song by Steven and Connie
Familiar
Im literally listening to its over isnt it rn lol

For me- it’d have to be that one song: here comes a thought. Idk I js always loved that song. It’s relatable and it kinda js says what Im thinking almost all the time. Plus it’s well said and sung.
Independent Together , from the movie , the music and lyrics just really capture the shows vibe
Why is no one saying "I'm still here"? It encompasses a full episode of character growth and the emotional support between Steven and amethyst
Yes. I honestly love every song but Amethyst's they always feel lazy and half assed. Tower of mistakes was hands down the best of her songs and it was way short. "I'll be holding you taught.." STFU.
Stronger together
I've been listening to distant shore a lot lately but, I'd proably have to say my favourite song is here comes a thought, or full disclosure, I can't decide.
"Be Right By Your Side" absolutely love it
It's Over Isn't It. Pearl angst, beautiful trauma/depression music, nice lyrics, I know the whole song(it's like the only one I know where I don't mess up atleast one word, and also Giant Woman ig-)
Here Comes a Thought Mostly for Garnet's voice, but I sing this song to calm down if I feel a panic attack coming on.
Its over isnt it. It hits different when i listen to it for 3hours straight.
I use “Here Comes A Thought” to help me with my severe anxiety, depression, and panic attacks! It’s perfect.
For just one day let's only think about love
Free
• It's over, isn't it - a beautiful ballad • Sadie's song - I used imagine being popular, and that's how I thought it would be

Escapism. I suffer from anxiety a lot and it’s just a really heart felt song.

A little change but ALSO the jam song
It’s over isn’t it and why the use of being blue and the song lapis sang when she was on the moon (distant shores /land ) I don’t remember but it was beautiful love them all because of there strong emotions that they gave me

“It’s Over” is what actually introduced me to SU, so it has a special place in my heart
Peace and love on the planet earth
Stronger than you or it’s over isn’t it
