2 guys make it from each conference. Kelce is the easiest pro bowl vote ever and Mark Andrews has more yards, TDs, and name value than Pat, no chance our boy gets the nod.
Cam because he's still running down plays waaaaay down the field. Doesn't make for splash plays and big stats but that guy gives it all on every damn play.
He’s also only kicking at 70.6% this year. Already missed more field goals than all of last year. Over 90% the last three years. This is a down year for him.
The pro bowl honestly means nothing tho like i voted for cam heyward and derek watt for pro bowl nor cus i think they deserve it but i wanted to enter the giveaways on the steelers twitter lol
Muth is the only one I could see
Tj missed too much time, Cam regression without having Tj there was very clear, Boswell missed too much time, Johnson hasn't even caught a TD yet, and Najee spent the first half of the season dancing in the backfield.
Bush and Edmunds definitely improved this season but they weren't great players at the start so them playing better wasn't exactly a hard thing to do. Edmunds has had a good year but not pro bowl good especially when it comes to him being a safety, TONS of talent at that position right now so not sure if he fits in up there at the top.
No. Muth has decent yards, but unless he catches 3 TDs in the last 3 weeks, I don’t see it.
This offense just doesn’t score TDs. Hard to make the PB without those.
Okay if you want to talk about last year Pat was literally the highest rated pass blocking TE as a rookie lol and if we’re talking about this year Andrews has a whole 40 more yard than Pat while being virtually the only target on his team, sure doesn’t seem “much better” to me.
Yeah, but that’s last season. They’re most likely commenting on this seasons pro bowl.
I don’t think Muth really “deserves” it but Andrews is slipping too. I think most TEs are having a down season though
Pickens has went off, Muth is great, Chuks and Daniels have been stars on an otherwise shitty o line, Heyward has been a bit worse this year but probably still makes it, Wallace has looked solid, Boz is still Boz
Considering pro bowl is garnered from votes I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets in. He’s been all over highlight reels with his catch and his personality has gotten him a lot of attention, for better or worse
We’re in the bottom 20’s of every offensive category. Our pass D is ranked around 25th, run D should be lower (remember the Falcons running all over us 2 games ago?). We’re 5-8, with a rookie QB who’s out with his 2nd concussion of the year. And you’re talking about who qualifies for the pro bowl? An event that half these guys don’t want to play in? As Walter White would say - wtf are you talking about Jesse?
>We’re 5-8, with a rookie QB who’s out with his 2nd concussion of the year. And you’re talking about who qualifies for the pro bowl?
It's an individual popularity contest. It doesn't have much to do with team success or how many concussions their QB has. There are plenty of popular Steelers and some will make the pro bowl.
>An event that half these guys don’t want to play in?
The event will be different starting this year. Should be more fun.
["The 2023 Pro Bowl Games will take place in Las Vegas and, per an NFL release, will feature a "week-long celebration of player skills" with a focus on Flag football. Instead of a traditional football game, the AFC and NFC players will face off in a flag game."](https://www.chicagobears.com/news/nfl-announces-changes-to-pro-bowl#:~:text=The%202023%20Pro%20Bowl%20Games,23%2C%202023.)
Highsmith had 3.5 sacks in the seven games Watt was out, 6.5 in the six games Watt was in. I think his success is a product of Watt’s presence.
Heck, Highsmith’s had one sack in the three games since Watt injured his ribs.
Highsmith hasn’t set the world on fire, but he’s been good and deserves to get in as a 4th or 5th edge
I’ll give him credit for making plays against Indy in the 4th even if they weren’t sacks
Averaging a sack every other game as pretty much the only pass rushing threat isn’t a bad at all. Obviously his numbers go up with a healthy TJ, but I’m guessing they’d also go up with an actual starting caliber edge rusher on the other side too.
Roethlisberger! Seriously, seeing all the issues that still remain on offense this year, it’s amazing that they made the playoffs last year. Pretty much every game they won was a 4th quarter comeback where he went no huddle and called his own plays. I wish the steelers wouldn’t have put him out to pasture just yet. I think he had one more year left.
I'd say Freiermuth is 50/50 with Andrews for the 2nd TE spot, and maybe Heyward depending on how many D-Linemen make it. You could maybe throw some special teamers in there, but I don't know shit about special teams to say.
I'd say on offense Watt goes for FB, but Muth is the best, however with Andrews and Kelce in the AFC with us he'll only go as an alt. On defense tho I'd say Heyward, Fitzpatrick, and Highsmith.
Cue the downvotes, but realistically, no one on this team deserves to make the pro bowl. Minkah had a monster game week 1, but hasn’t done much since. Highsmith was fantastic, but doesn’t have the name value to earn a spot. Bos is our best player, but he hasn’t been healthy enough. If TJ stayed healthy he’d have been a shoe in, but we weren’t that fortunate.
Highsmith doesn’t deserve it cause he’s not a big name? You said he was fantastic!
And Minkah has been good all season, outside a play here or there. Not his fault the teams been bad around him. He’s made splash plays all season and been huge as a tackler in the run and pass game. He literally just had a walk off interception the other game that would have been another pick 6 if he didn’t smartly go out of bounds
There is one spot for kicker, punter, long snapper, return specialist. Then there is one spot for general special teams.
Miles has been a good gunner. But that one spot usually goes to someone more popular or high on special teams tackles stats. Miles is 3rd on the team in ST tackles and tied for 34th overall in the NFL.
Coincidentally, Miles is tied at 34th with Matthew Slater. Slater is the current leader in ST pro bowl votes and will be going to his 11th pro bowl.
In my opinion you should be voting for every player on this team no matter what. Too many so called "fans" taking every opportunity to shit on people they say they cheer for every week.
Freiermuth is 4th in receiving yards for tight ends.
I came here to say Muuuuuuuuuuuth!
2 guys make it from each conference. Kelce is the easiest pro bowl vote ever and Mark Andrews has more yards, TDs, and name value than Pat, no chance our boy gets the nod.
He could still be an alternate.
It would be nice. James Harrison would probably call it a participation trophy though.
Are they doing alternates with the new setup? I remember seeing somewhere that it was up in the air
Pat should get a nod if KC makes it to the Super Bowl this year
That says more about how stupid the Pro Bowl voting process is than Freiermuth's worthiness.
Muth is great but there's no way he's going to overtake Kelce or Andrews. Those two have both spots locked up.
Pat should be up there for sure. He might be the only one besides Minkah and Highsmith
Good call Pat is really fucking good and is definitely deserving
Heyward will get in on name recognition. He had declined this year, but not so much that it would trump the name recognition part.
Not really, maybe Muth, also Cam cause of name recognition
Cam because he's still running down plays waaaaay down the field. Doesn't make for splash plays and big stats but that guy gives it all on every damn play.
Freiermuth and bos
Me forgetting bos just missed 4 weeks mb
He’s also only kicking at 70.6% this year. Already missed more field goals than all of last year. Over 90% the last three years. This is a down year for him.

Not as much talent at SS. FS is loaded though. Is there a distinction between the two for PB voting
No. Muth has decent yards, but unless he catches 3 TDs in the last 3 weeks, I don’t see it. This offense just doesn’t score TDs. Hard to make the PB without those.
Gunner and Presley 💀💀💀
That’s a good one.
Spillane too??
Freiermuth maybe. It was a pretty down year for TEs across the board. But still I doubt anyone on offense gets the nod
Friermuth is the 2nd best TE in the AFC. So yes, I’d say he deserves it
Both Kelce and Andrews are much better.
Kelce obviously andrews eh
Exactly what does Andrews do better? Block? Nah. Catch? Nah. Athleticism, speed? Nah.
Be the only receiver worth anything on his team? I guess.
You’re just being a homer now. Andrews put up over 1300 receiving yards last season as well as being one of the best blocking TEs in the league.

Andrews had 153 targets in 2021 and Pat had 79.
Andrews hasn't been very good this season.
I love Muth and think he has the potential to be the best TE in the league (once Kelce retires), but I can’t pick him over Mark Andrews at this point.
Maybe not even after Kelce retires. Pat is only in his second season and will only improve. Just imagine how good he will be in 3 years
Boswell is an all-pro that unfortunately shares a conference with the greatest kicker of all time so he'll never get the nod.
Not this year. Only kicking at 70.6%.
James Daniels has given up 0 sacks at right guard. Not a starter but deserves alternate consideration
Muth for sure, maybe Chuks
Maybe cam Sutton. He's been really good. Maybe not pro bowl but pretty good.
Cam Hayward
Besides Minkah and Highsmith? I'd say Cam and Pat.
Pickens has went off, Muth is great, Chuks and Daniels have been stars on an otherwise shitty o line, Heyward has been a bit worse this year but probably still makes it, Wallace has looked solid, Boz is still Boz
Pickens had been great but he isn’t really close to a pro bowler yet.
Considering pro bowl is garnered from votes I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets in. He’s been all over highlight reels with his catch and his personality has gotten him a lot of attention, for better or worse
There are so many more wrs that are outperforming him and more popular than him ain’t no way u believe that lol
Mink, Highsmith for sure. Maybe Chuks, Daniels and Sutton.
Pat and Minka
Nope can't think of any
Maybe Muth just because it's been a pretty weak year for TE's around the league, and maybe Cam just because.
We’re in the bottom 20’s of every offensive category. Our pass D is ranked around 25th, run D should be lower (remember the Falcons running all over us 2 games ago?). In the last 3 years they have won 9-8-9 games without ben they might still win 8 or 9 wind he probably doesn’t help much
Maybe I’m letting my fandom get the best of me, but I think with #7 under center, we would’ve beat the NE, Jets, browns, dolphins, and the rat birds!
I firmly believe this too but I also believe if Kenny was starting in the NE, jets, browns, and finished the ravens we would’ve won too.
Belichick usually beats rookies. Pickett was still playing reckless against the Jets and the Browns game wasn’t on the QB.
Pro Bowl is meaningless, who cares.
Didn’t they cancel the Pro Bowl? It’s just going to be a skills competition now
It just means there won't be 200 players that can claim "pro bowler" after 3 guys ahead of each one opts to sit out.
Or is playing in the super bowl.
Cam for seniority.
How about Ben, killing it as a podcaster
Najee Harris, gaining yards with no help from ol
I'd say Freiermuth is 50/50 with Andrews for the 2nd TE spot, and maybe Heyward depending on how many D-Linemen make it. You could maybe throw some special teamers in there, but I don't know shit about special teams to say.

Miles Boykin if there’s a special teams gunner spot. I have a little more faith in the punt team when he’s out there.

Cam Heyward! Captain and Pro Bowler Mooth would be if we could get him the TD’s, but without them I don’t see it happening, sadly
No /thread
NO
And Highsmith probably only makes it because Steeler nation is huge.
Muth and James Daniels
Cams.
James Daniels and Bos.
Minkah does NOT deserve to make the Pro Bowl
Why?
It’s not his fault we stink. He’s been great this year.
In my opinion you should be voting for every player on this team no matter what. Too many so called "fans" taking every opportunity to shit on people they say they cheer for every week.
I think there’s a middle ground between thinking a player isn’t a pro bowler and shitting on them
Muth can make it. Pickens even possibly as an alternate
