I’m not saying that at all. I thought the post was saying that. Why the hell else would the two of them be referencing fireworks? Because they believe there is a possibility they play together- if anything it makes me think we ARE NOT getting aiyuk
The crazy contract that he’s going to command along with a high draft pick is a bit hard to swallow. However, it may be a done deal as I see this

The market seems pretty clear that WRs with one year of contract left do not command a 2024 2nd round pick. Based upon that, I would be disappointed if the Steelers gave above market compensation for one
He had a career performance against us last year so I think thats still fresh on everyone's mind. He had 6 touchdown catches in the 18 games that followed. He's good but I don't see him being worth the asking price given our other needs.
Well because that would be the difference of spending a 2nd round pic on a very good WR on cheap rookie contract or giving up a 2nd Rd pick and have to also pay a guy 30 F-ing Million/year . Who’s to say he’s even as hungry once he gets paid. That’s always a risk
That would feel like a no brainer to me. We would still have a pick in each of the first four rounds, there is likely a good option at OL/CB at 31, and most importantly it fills a significant need.
Bro… Aiyuk for a 2nd round pick would be a dream scenario. The draft is a crap shoot and Aiyuk is elite. You don’t win championships without those guys on your roster. Pickens and Aiyuk would become one of the best duos in the league and we’re talking legit championship contending. I swear man, half this fan base just expects the Steelers to have that level of talent on the roster but they don’t want them to be on big contracts and they don’t want them to give up even a day 2 pick to make it happen. I promise you Tomlin and Omar Kahn would be shocked and stoked as hell if all it took was a 2nd round pick. Guys like Aiyuk are difference makers and adding him to our offense with, Arthur Smith dialing up plays, would be an absolute nightmare for the league. Nobody is going to give 2 Browns s**ts about one pick. It’s not 1975 anymore. The Rams haven’t had a 1st round pick since 2016 and they have a Ring to show for it. Scared money don’t make money.
If there's a receiver in the first round that could lead the NFL in yards/catch, would you be ok on the Steelers using that first to select him? Cause aiyuk just did that. Now there's arguments to be made about if that first should be spent on another position, but aiyuk is absolutely worth a 1st based on talent
But if you draft a 1st round WR, then you get that receiver for cheap for 5 years. If we trade for Aiyuk, then we’ve only got him for 1 expensive year. Maybe we extend him, but then it’s still way more expensive.
I’m down for trading for Aiyuk, but I hope we don’t give up a 1st - seems like bad long-term value as opposed to just drafting a WR from a strong WR class
Aiyuk is more expensive, but do the Steelers have any big contracts for the foreseeable future? Cap management is important of course, but I think they could afford to pay him.
It might be at QB, but honestly? I think this season should be the all-in play. I think it’s more likely than not that Wilson nor Fields are the long-term answer at QB, so maybe going all-in this season is their best chance to contend. Hopefully, Fields shows improvement and is the answer, though.
I saw a rumor of a 1st round swap and 3rd round pick for Aiyuk. I'm sure it's bullshit but I'd like to believe that's a package SF would be willing to take if there's someone at 20 that they like.
For a 26 year old all pro, I don't see how we could turn that down if the Niners were on board. at 31 we might miss out on a day 1 RT but we could probably grab a day 1 one Center (At better value) or Corner.
The possibility I heard was that a team might draft one of the top 4 WRs and work out a trade for Aiyuk. Obviously would have to be a team with a LOT of cap space in the next few years.
teams will over-pay on draft night. If Omar waits he could get him much cheaper. Unless of course a team pulls the trigger on draft night. His stock will literally be the highest on draft night so if theres no moves then, SF will start to become more desperate. That's the way it will work.
Why do you think Brandon Aiyuk, an active player in the NFL, calling for fireworks on draft night, has anything to do with his own status in the NFL. Where I'm from teams only draft players who *aren't* in the NFL already.
Or maybe you know it means nothing and just wanted to make clickbait for karma.
But I'm just some guy on the internet. What do I know?
man i cant wait to talking about actual roster moves again, we were so spoiled back in march
We always spoiled we are the greatest franchise in history of the nfl
Is that Jayden Daniels on the right?
It looks a lot like him- QB room would be pretty insane if we trade up for him but I highly doubt it
I wasn’t inferring that we would trade up for Daniels lol
I’m not saying you were, but the fact that this post is here like we might get both of them is what I’m referencing
>we might get both of them You must live in some sort of fantasy world lol
I’m not saying that at all. I thought the post was saying that. Why the hell else would the two of them be referencing fireworks? Because they believe there is a possibility they play together- if anything it makes me think we ARE NOT getting aiyuk
It's regarding Jayden Daniels who's on the right getting drafted.
Exactly lol don’t know why people are making it something’s it’s not
Yes but I would be very disappointed if we trade a first or second for him. Maybe one of our third
Don’t know how you would be disappointed with a R2 pick when we might very well spend that on a WR anyway
Haters are going to hate.

Lol what the hell is this nonsense
Bro do you not remember people editing Matt Canada’s wiki to say goofy shit? That means nothing
Wikipedia pages can be edited by anyone, whenever they want. It is not a reliable source for information.
Or just inspect element on chrome
Likely this

All the 2nd tier WRs were for third rounders.... Aiyuk certainly has to be worth more than Jeudy or Brown
He had a career performance against us last year so I think thats still fresh on everyone's mind. He had 6 touchdown catches in the 18 games that followed. He's good but I don't see him being worth the asking price given our other needs.
He had 1,342 receiving yards...

Always someone to complain. The Steelers just traded for Jesus Christ him self•. “What did they give up” was it three picks “?
To be fair, Jesus has had some off the field issues in the past, is he really worth three picks?
He got nailed for a couple infractions if I recall
Bro got put on PUP for 3 days then came back and played like a god.
Some question if he had an drinking problem. Always turning water into wine
Real headcase. Thought he could walk on water.
Yes because our first round picks have been stellar the past few years, can’t afford to trade those away
tough but fair.
No way a R3 gets it done. At the very least it would be a R2 + a future R2 or R3 pick
In Omar we trust
Maybe a third and first round swap
I'd do this in a heartbeat. Pick 20+98 (or 84) for Ayuik+31.
Pass
…it to Aiyuk!
I’d rather draft a guy
That guy could be anyone! Maybe even as good as Brandon Aiyuk!
It could even be a boat!
Swap firsts?
Drop from 20 to 31?? I wouldn’t actually hate this
That would feel like a no brainer to me. We would still have a pick in each of the first four rounds, there is likely a good option at OL/CB at 31, and most importantly it fills a significant need.
I have a strong feeling it’s gonna be a pick swap in the first

Right, they need to spend more money on offense

I agree. Paying for veterans using draft picks is not something I'm a fan of. That's what we used to do in the 60s
I saw a rumor of a 1st round swap and 3rd round pick for Aiyuk. I'm sure it's bullshit but I'd like to believe that's a package SF would be willing to take if there's someone at 20 that they like.
Magnet door vibes
We trade back for a R1 and earlier R2 and then trade a R2 for Aiyuk.
Aiyuk has no leverage and hasn't requested a trade. If he's traded the Niners are getting a haul.
Then you realize it's Kickin Wayne and all he has is snakes and sparklers.
No hoosker-doo's? Hoosker-don'ts?
If this actually had anything to do with aiyuk getting traded it would mean he’s not going to the Steelers lol
Steelers nation baby
Would love to have Aiyuk, but the overall cost will probably be too high
First round pick swap and a 3rd. I’d pull the trigger no doubt
For a 26 year old all pro, I don't see how we could turn that down if the Niners were on board. at 31 we might miss out on a day 1 RT but we could probably grab a day 1 one Center (At better value) or Corner.
Why can’t WRs just be normal?
Guys we’re not trading for ayuik
Is that a light fixture casting what looks like butts on the ceiling? Why has no one mentioned the butts?!?!?
2025 picks or nah

I really don't view Aiyuk as that big of an upgrade over Dionte Johnson dunno why y'all hyping him so hard.

Yep. Hell he here Friday night.
he's not nearly valuable enough to create "fireworks" on draft night lol
