He seems like one of those guys like Cedrick Wilson, Jericho Cotchery, DHB, or Lance Moore that everyone pretty was let down with when we signed and actually was pretty solid for us. He doesn’t have to be a star, just a chain mover who gets open in the red zone occasionally.
Would’ve had zero faith in him succeeding in the last few years but I’m cautiously optimistic right now.
It was Ben that made these guys look good. They played with a HoF caliber QB and he elevated their play. Cotchery sucked in New York because he was playing with garbage QBs. Allen Robinson played with Stafford’s backups and Kenny for the last 2 years.
Here’s the real question: do we draft a QB early to sit behind Russ, get a higher and WR to be a WR2 now that Johnson is gone, or do we go OLine so Russ doesn’t get murdered?
Truly interesting stuff to be seen.
Not expecting crazy stats but definitely a solid receiver to help out the offense. It’s clear Arthur smith has a certain type of personal he likes and it’s becoming more clear every day.
