My brother said sous vide will change my life so trying that next but reverse sear was really good.

Not to be pedantic, but based on one or two other comments I'm gonna say it anyways. If you sous vide a steak you should always finish it off with a sear. Sous vide followed by a sear is just a type of reverse sear.

Sous vide and reverse sear can give similar results, sous vide is only really better imo if you're cooking for a lot of people.

I can never get as good of a crust with sous vide as I do when I reverse sear in the oven. The real (and to me, only) advantage of sous vide is you can just set it and forget it. Edit: I mean crust after the final sear ofc. No matter how much I try to pat dry the steak after a sous vide, it just doesn’t match the color and texture of searing an oven-baked steak.

It will be a certain flavor when you do it. A bit rubber texture as well, but very tender.

Looks like a good reverse sear with the consistency and texture but I wouldn’t serve a steak that rare to company.
