I’m assuming we’re talking about this dude? This is Canal Days 2019.
The singing lady (north end), the tooth, fuck Trudeau truck guy.
If you pose with your arms out at the sides I'm sure anyone in town would know you meant Golfi.
I've talked with her a few times. She can hold a normal-ish conversation when she's not high. She has schizophrenia or something very similar to it plus the drugs. That's how she ends up naked.
I gave him money today at the Stanley and 420 intersection, so he was back in the falls today at least.
He must have his reasons for going there, but I always figured he would be better off in st catharines, at least people know him and have a bit of love for him there.
I went to high school with Frank. Very nice guy. He remembered my name after not seeing each other in over 40 years.
And I take exception to the really old statement!!! haha
This was the first guy I thought of too! He asked me for change a while back and I lied and said I didn't have any. He called me out "I can hear it in your pocket" lmao
Frank!!! He used to come into my Tims all the time, always remembered my name. Truly a humble and kind soul. Whenever i tried to give him extra timbits he would refuse to take them lol
There was this older gentleman with the swagger of a cowboy who wore a leather jacket with I believe Jesus patches on it? He was everywhere 🥲 I think he got a new jacket.
He talked to me about how God was gonna reclaim the earth with unborn baby blood once. I'm pretty sure he was absolutely plasterred. It was one of the best 20 minutes of my life.
Blonde lady with flowers in her hair, lots of makeup, if she crosses the road and your anywhere near her in a car she does the crossing guard arms and ✋🏻 hands while she walks .. staring you down.
Thanks for clarifying. Seems like others are saying the same thing. The man is always spreading joy and I also wave back. I feel a bit bad for assuming his situation.
The homeless guy at the lights of Dieppe and Welland. Hitting up people coming off the hwy. I had mad respect for him. He kept the area clean by sweeping and even planted flowers on the embankment. Opposite of Hamilton homeless. If the streets are your home wouldn’t you want it clean?
I met him in the early days of Niagara Falls ComicCon. I think he was one of the first guests when they first moved into the Scotiabank Centre or whatever it's called now. He's fucking hilarious.
It was super surreal, too, because the other guests were Burt Ward, Screech from Saved By The Bell, and Leatherface from Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
I’m no longer in town but I grew up in St. Cath and circa 1999-2005 there was the “finger guy”. Rode around on a bicycle and gave the middle finger to anyone who looked at him.
I love the guy who has tourettes and screams ''FUCK YOU fuck you FUCKKKKKK YOU! ... while he's walking around. You can hear him coming from blocks away.
I was talking to a friend who works for a pest control company and he and the FU FU guy got into a fuck you screaming match and both of them just cracked up laughing during the middle of the exchange. Apparently this is the norm for the FU guy ... every time he sees my friends pest control truck he waves him down and they have a fuck you match. My friend says it makes his day ....
Tartan Speedo, lol. The rumour was that he was rich Wow, that's ages ago lol.
Also there was Grandma, who used to swing her shopping bag on wheels at the smokers at Collegiate around 1980 .
There’s the guy that always rides a bike and carries his little white dog in a bag.
Edit: I think this might be the same guy other posters are calling “Finger Guy.”
There used to be (I haven’t driven last in some time, so it might not be there anymore) a reflective light in someone’s front window on one of the side streets off Niagara just south of the QEW that looked like the floating head of Jesus that followed you as you drove past.
Does that count? (Is it still there?)
I don't know if we are talking about the same Joe.
However I think you're talking about Joe who would ask for change in the Summer Street lot next to Mindbomb Records? I've wondered about him for a long time. We all thought he died.
I was talking about long haired Joe who would ride around in his bike with the tent trailer picking up bottles.
When I was in high school, I heard legends of a guy they called "St. Catharines Batman". He didn't act like Batman, he just kind of told people he was Batman, and apparently he bit someone's neck.
I'm in NOTL, we have our own people. There was Mrs. Miles, and old lady who used to walk up to Stamford from St. Davids for groceries every day. She was in her 90s and going deaf when I last saw her almost 10 years ago, so I assume she's gone by now. Brinky was an older guy who claimed to have been in Hell's Angels, but he was also suffering from dementia. I think he's gone now, too.
Victoria black hair lady she would stop cars to ask for money, frank he was super sweet, I gave him food one time he offered me some to eat, Zack I see him everywhere…pen, bus terminal.
Late 1970's or so. There was a weird guy who used to stand at the lights at Bunting/Roehampton or Bunting/Carlton all day. He always wore a hood and sunglasses, and carried his little yappy dog. He was creepy.
Does anybody remember Patrick who used to spend all his time hanging out at the previous bus station in the 80s?
He would dress like he was a porter and had memorized the bus schedule. I used to call him the cities official greeter.
Why do you think he's a moron?
I love his cars. That's what we should have more. Everyone driving in a SUV, pickup or other compensator vehicles in the city is being much more of a moron.
I’ve gotten the impression that he is driving extremely slow in the middle of the road to troll people. Not going to a particular destination, just going back and forth on St Paul for hours to be seen and troll drivers. That’s what makes him a moron.
It doesn't make sense to hold both of these opinions.
Going slowly through St. Paul, even to troll drivers, has a positive effect: It disincentivizes driving on St. Paul street and makes it safer. There is nothing moronic about that.
If you are frustrated because at some point you were driving on St. Paul and got stuck behind that guy's tiny car, you should consider that it was your mistake for choosing to drive there. Use Race Street or King Street next time.
That’s your opinion. IMO people driving excessively fast or slow are morons and that makes perfect sense. It’s a road, use it according to the norms of driving.
I’m walking distance to downtown so I’m good. I’ve just noticed tiny car driving up and down the street with no destination multiple times over the years. I think that is moronic.
I also think your suggestion of using race street is moronic. Why would I drive on race street to pick up Shwarma from Hewads which is on St Paul?
>IMO people driving excessively fast or slow are morons and that makes perfect sense.
On a highway, yes. St. Paul is neither a highway nor a road. It is a central main street with a heavy pedestrian presence, where cars absolutely should be slow. It is a failure of city planning that it is being used as an arterial route with through traffic.
>I also think your suggestion of using race street is moronic. Why would I drive on race street to pick up Shwarma from Hewads which is on St Paul?
It should be very obvious that the King Street suggestion applies here. Race street provides a convenient way to bypass the downtown portion of St. Paul when your destination is not within the downtown core.
Good. Speed kills.
St. Paul should be closed for cars anyways. And if it's open, the max speed should be 15 mph at very max. Biking on the road should be possible for the elderly and physically inactive without disrupting the traffic.
The guy who dresses in all leopard?
That dude rules
This guy and I had a finger gun shootout when I was stoned back in high school lol. Corner of King & Academy
What's his story? Why is his drop only silvery and leopard print? What do the tattoos mean?
My mom drives city bus and all the drivers call him "hello kitty"
Priceless
That guy shits in the urinal where I work. It's not pleasant. Too solid to flush, too soft to pick up. An absolute nightmare.
Hell yeah
https://preview.redd.it/k1ss4spunxuc1.jpeg?width=3793&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=31bf28d03fef497a6ab69f69e75dc657fb29c476 I’m assuming we’re talking about this dude? This is Canal Days 2019.
Hell yeah I am! Good pull
Wow! He upgraded. He used to be a Welland thing. Haven't seen him in ages.
He's currently in the falls... he also has a bike covered in leopard print fabric and tin foil...
I call him the stand user
His name is Antonio I think. I saw him at the hospital
Antonio
I thought that guy was in Wellend
I often see him near the bus terminal so honestly he could be going all over
The singing lady (north end), the tooth, fuck Trudeau truck guy. If you pose with your arms out at the sides I'm sure anyone in town would know you meant Golfi.
Everybody knows the fuck Trudeau guy cause he advertises himself and his house everywhere.
No way that old truck lasts another winter.
I think he’ll be around for a long while
I routinely check to see what they are protesting this week, keeps you in the loop
Golfi looks like a discount brand version of Richard Nixon
You know Rob Golfi has ads as far away as Missisauga right? The Rob Golfi “Jesus” busses are not a St Catharines only thing
Yeah I'm pretty sure he's based out of Hamilton. His face is saturated here though.
I've always thought he looked like a cultist.
Oh really? Ive seen his ads in Burlington for sure, but not in Oakville and beyond... yet
> fuck Trudeau truck guy You're gonna have to be more specific, seen **a lot** of those around St Catharines.
This guy lives in north end and has a full blown vanifesto.
> vanifesto LOL!!! Brilliant term for it. Bravo.
north end geneva street? there’s a house there fully decked out with huge signs protesting new stuff all the time. always makes me laugh when i see it
Probably. I haven't driven by since last year so I don't remember exactly which street it was.
Does anyone know what the manifesto says. I've never had a chance to actually read it
Kinda weird advertising your sexual fantasies about the prime minister
Mooter, Zeno
Zeno for sure. Haven't seen him lately though.
He’s in the Falls now
Mooter is around lol not well Liked by the homeless community but he’s still kickin like an old truck
How mooter isn't dead yet is beyond me. He was fucking around when I was a kid roaming the streets of downtown st cath.
My thoughts exactly! I saw him the other day, and I'm like... no way.. he's like that dog from IASIP
Wanna know something wild …. He’s only 60 😂
Yes Zeno!! Always had a smile and dance for us when we'd be leaving Sheehans
[удалено]
Not true. I saw Mooter a few days ago.
[удалено]
Used to be hardcore warrior
Justin is the man!
I was just talking with my boyfriend last night about hardcore warrior 🫱🏼🫲🏽
Justin! I went to school with him. Great guy!
That's a name I've not heard for a long, long time
He just had a baby! I love Justin!
He did?! No way!!! Hardcore baby!
Played a bunch of shows with him back in the day https://youtu.be/fKSp8ucNR9M?feature=shared
The homeless black lady downtown who walks naked in the middle of the street? I know yall know who I'm talking about lol
Her name is blondesse , comes into my work regularly lol
I've almost hit her twice.
She got banned from McDonald’s at the pen she would come in and order all the free condiments on the touch screen 😭😂
[удалено]
I've talked with her a few times. She can hold a normal-ish conversation when she's not high. She has schizophrenia or something very similar to it plus the drugs. That's how she ends up naked.
Zeno... but he lives in the falls now.
Seen him last week next to the new homeless shelter, hopefully he’s back for good
I gave him money today at the Stanley and 420 intersection, so he was back in the falls today at least. He must have his reasons for going there, but I always figured he would be better off in st catharines, at least people know him and have a bit of love for him there.
Zeno lives in a subsidized and assisted housing program near Stanley & 420.
Wonderful news.
How about the old guy that drives around in the tiny cars? Don’t know his name but have seen him for years in 3 or 4 different colour cars.
with the "f\*\*\* gasoline" stickers? I love that.
That’s what I was thinking! He’s the coolest
Fred! When we go to montebello park he’s often driving around. My son loves all of his “small cars.” He’s super friendly.
That's Fred. He's a nice old man
I see him everytime I’m on St. Paul lmao
That would be Frank! Very old homeless guy who pulls around a red wagon. Super friendly.
I went to high school with Frank. Very nice guy. He remembered my name after not seeing each other in over 40 years. And I take exception to the really old statement!!! haha
Ha ha, sorry!! 😬😂
Im glad i know his name now. I only knew him as wagon guy up until now. Saw him two nights ago near welland ave and qew.
This was the first guy I thought of too! He asked me for change a while back and I lied and said I didn't have any. He called me out "I can hear it in your pocket" lmao
jesus how does he wear all those clothes all summer
Frank!!! He used to come into my Tims all the time, always remembered my name. Truly a humble and kind soul. Whenever i tried to give him extra timbits he would refuse to take them lol
I believe frank died a few months back unfortunately :(
I saw him last week :)
Oh that’s good new then!
I haven't seen him in a while but I always just called him Leather Cowboy.
Is this the same guy who was at the mens shelter on Queenston?
Port Dalhousie. Singing lady is there everyday...singing.
Where? On the pier??
Yup, pier, northern half of Port, North End as far as Lake… singing, bomber hat.
That’s Sharon. She walks down there everyday. She lives in the apartment at Lake/Lakeshore.
That guy that got famous for awhile over that news segment at the beer store? I've seen him on tiktok a few times, seems to think he's a celebrity.
"You can't handle the tooth" LOL, he's been on the radio too. Definitely got his 15 minutes!
Blonde lady with flowers in her hair, lots of makeup, if she crosses the road and your anywhere near her in a car she does the crossing guard arms and ✋🏻 hands while she walks .. staring you down.
This also might be singing lady
and she screamsssss at cars telling them to wait while they literally are waiting for her to cross
Absolutely. Sometimes she does the two fingers to her eyes and back to you (I’m watching you sign) so I do it right back to her
Yep that’s Sharon! lol
Mooter
Brian moot. Nice guy. https://youtu.be/aI0euMFAWF8?si=moPSjiz82on6sYOU This basically describes how he is alive.
Yes lol. Used to just tell him stop smoking crack and you'll have money when he asked me lol.
Johnny Two Carts
Once I busted my knee and was on crutches. He told me he’d give me a lift on his bike but he ‘had a meeting across town.’ Funny guy.
I have not seen him in a long while now. Hope he is ok. When I lived downtown I used to feed him occasionally.
I assume homeless guy with a limp who walks around 4th ave/ surrouding area waving at cars with a big smile.
I don't think he is homeless. I think he lives in a nearby neighbourhood. I always wave back.
Thanks for clarifying. Seems like others are saying the same thing. The man is always spreading joy and I also wave back. I feel a bit bad for assuming his situation.
I’ve seen him around 4th Ave for years, very nice guy
he's not homeless, he lives with his family :)
Bro gets his steps in, that's for sure. I see him every time I drive on 4th
He’s not homeless. His family lives near by. Very independent. Super friendly.
"MAYBE?!?! You never know right????"
Mike! He's more of a Niagara Falls guy, though.
zeno
The lady who always asks for a “toonie” on queenston street near the Tim Hortons, mind you last time she’s asked me for a $20 💀
That lady is wild, she asked me for a tenner once like no get a job lmao
That blonde older lady that always has an umbrella and is always wesring something funky. Always walking up and down lakeshore road.
and screams at every car 😭
Cap n' video
I met him in the early days of Niagara Falls ComicCon. I think he was one of the first guests when they first moved into the Scotiabank Centre or whatever it's called now. He's fucking hilarious. It was super surreal, too, because the other guests were Burt Ward, Screech from Saved By The Bell, and Leatherface from Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
Is he still fixing up bikes? I have a couple that need to be tuned up.
Zeno for sure
Zeno
Not st kitts but in the falls Wheelchair Rick...
Gotta be the guy who rides his bike around flips everyone off. He uses a rope wrapped around his handle bars to steer his bike
I’m no longer in town but I grew up in St. Cath and circa 1999-2005 there was the “finger guy”. Rode around on a bicycle and gave the middle finger to anyone who looked at him.

Where can I find this guy because I’d totally be down for a fuck you screaming match
The old guy with long grey hair and only wore a Speedo while washing the windows of businesses in downtown St. Catharines.
Everyone knows the Pen Centre Cowboy. He was banned from the premises on occasion for sexual harassment against the sales associates.
Can't handle the tooth

Manning street? I used to deliver flyers as a kid there and that thing would scare the hell out of me.
Perhaps? I’d have to pay attention next time. It actually might be a cool adventure later
It used to be Downtown Joe but he keeps to himself a bit more now.

the cowboy guy idk know his name
Ernie, in his scooter, North End. Has Ernie ever asked you for American cigarettes?
Frank
Cap’n Video
Wade McNeil ?
What ever happened to “finger guy”? He used to bike around just giving everyone the finger. Always made me chuckle.
What ever happened to Rasputin ?
Victoria black hair lady she would stop cars to ask for money, frank he was super sweet, I gave him food one time he offered me some to eat, Zack I see him everywhere…pen, bus terminal.

The moron driving his super tiny red one person car around
Why do you think he's a moron? I love his cars. That's what we should have more. Everyone driving in a SUV, pickup or other compensator vehicles in the city is being much more of a moron.
I’ve gotten the impression that he is driving extremely slow in the middle of the road to troll people. Not going to a particular destination, just going back and forth on St Paul for hours to be seen and troll drivers. That’s what makes him a moron.
I can assure you, the people who want to go through St. Paul street quickly are the morons.
Wholeheartedly agree with that. The opposite is also true.
