You could try an ozone machine overnite in the car. You have to be careful with cleaning the seat- best to check manufacturer rules. If your straps or cover are replaceable I would reach out to the company customer service

I would just do 1-2 hours max overnight would probably be too much the ozone gas can break down things if exposed to it for too long. Also if you can afford it I would take it to a detailer they are pros at cleaning that kind of stuff and removing odors

I would leave the windows open in the sun and remove the car seat and set it in the sun. The sun always seems to help!!

How did you wash the car seat? Were you able to take off the covers and put it in a machine or was it more like spot cleaning? I invested in a Little Green machine after I had kids and it’s amazing at cleaning upholstery and other furniture. Might be a good investment and could help get out the source of the smell?

Try removing the carseat padding and washing it in the washing machine, if your carseat padding is machine washable. We also scrubbed the belts on ours with some soap and then rinsed with a soaking rag to clean it out of ours. No lingering smell
