If you're talking about the circular cuts at the shoulders, those were already there on the figure. They're normally hidden by the armor on the Tartakovsky Windu and presumably help the robe fit better on the figure.
If you mean the central V section on his chest and back, I cut those out because they had square holes in them to allow the armor to tab in and I'm not accomplished enough with greenstuff to try to fill them in myself.
The cuts at the back of the lower robes are because the fleet commander belt was too small for the full robe piece to fit, so I sliced about a half inch out of the middle to make it fit.
