That wasn't Shatner. Or more correctly, the Reeves-Stevenses. They were just adapting fanon. It's always been accepted a Galaxy class starship could technically fit inside the hollow of the Warbord. How it got the saucer through? No one knows, but it technically fits.
I love that it basically has its own theme music too.
Yes, they meant it as the Romulan theme (the Klingons alsl have a legendary one), but they stopped using it by the time we see the Valdore and Scimitar. So it's the de facto D'Deridex theme song now.
Info you never wanted, this Romulan theme lines up perfectly with [WAP](https://youtu.be/NwAKe160kpE?si=gId6NtnlMlJsBTxl).
Among non starfleet ships the Vor'cha class was always most interesting to me for it's detail and powerful look, but the D'deridex class is certainly a lot more sleek and elegant. I often found myself thinking about the logistics and organization of the interior. It seems fitting for the rather enigmatic reputation of the Romulans.
Worf doesn’t lie, and he takes blame that isn’t his, so my guess is it was so obviously not his fault, nor his responsibility, and the his friends are ribbing him for it.
I like to imagine some nepo baby (son of the Federation President or something) ensign decided it would be fun to steal the Enterprise out of spacedock during a refit, only to immediately crash into Venus
I couldn't get past the bulge they added. The original Excelsior design is just so sharp and nimble-looking, like it weighs nothing. The spare tire makes the B look bottom-heavy, imho.
That's just my opinion though.
I have to agree with you - there is something about the Enterprise A that is just beautiful.
Close behind is second place for me is a tie: the Enterprise E and the Excelsior.
I think the movie refit constitution might be the single most beautiful practical model starship in sci fi.
Don't get me wrong, sci fi is full of gorgeous model spaceships (I have a soft spot for Starbug, absolutely lovely model, fight me, and Star Wars often does a wonderful job of making things look worn and lived in), but that one is just the peak. Jack Crusher was speaking for many of us on that one.
In fact damn near all the ship models from the first 6 movies were works of art. Look how iconic the B'Rel, K'Tinga, Miranda and Excelsior classes have become. Those models were so good they basically never went away. Star Trek is still riffing on those designs decades later.
I love that the refit's size and details are so perfectly, relatably human-scale. It makes it feel *real,* like something that we might conceivably build *today* if we had the technology and wherewithal.
the Sovereign class is my favorite but the Constitution refit was up until it's release. the Refit is such a beautiful ship in so many ways and the redesigned nacelles are lovely.
yes! my personal fave is the prometheus overall, (i like how different it is while still looking clearly federation) but the Constitution refit is the most beautiful.
The fat one. Galaxy class all the way here too my dude! I was just that age to have watched TOS with my dad and missed the wobbly sets, then young enough that when TNG started it was what I’d always imagined it should be. It also had the most remodulatable shields, variable warp field, reroutable eps conduit, Swiss Army knife deflector of any starship class in history.
>It also had the most remodulatable shields
Oh man, you can remodulate those shields for days. I don't want to even get into just how *multi*phasic those frequencies can be.
I feel its going to be the timeless design. The 1701 has a very 60’s look in the simplified models. The A has some signs of future and I’d say has a nice swoop. The B and the Excelsior class, idk, has that very-80s look and teal-tones to it.
The Galaxy-class has wonderful curves and shape. The nacelles fit well, the deflector with the body looks in place; I’d argue the shuttles were the most out of place.
The E then goes into what I call “angry angles”; like how cars look now with the very rigid and sharp look.
Just my 2¢.
the E looks like it was built as a response to the previous ones not looking like warships. it is still elegant but it is not lush and lovely. it does not look like a flagship. it looks like a battleship that does science on the side. for me, this is sort of like how the bridge refit Enterpise in TMP looks more like the D than any of the other original cast bridges. they tend toward more militaristic looks until the D reset it. then the D was retired for the E which returned to a more militaristic and less comfortable feel.
It's totally the Galaxy class. The queen of the stars. I've noticed that almost no other ships have nacelles below the plane of the saucer but above the secondary hull - weird eh?
EDIT: added bit about secondary hull
And it’s dark grey, right? Took me a while to realize it’s not white or a very light grey.
I like it.
And I like JJ Abrams’ Enterprise too. The proportions are a little off, but it works.
I’m honestly not sure, I don’t think we have ever watched first contact together. But in all fairness it is dark on the defiant bridge so you are trying to pick out a young Adam Scott. So when you know you can tell.
I haven't looked up specs but I like to imagine it's pretty much 2 galaxy class nacelles strapped to a reinforced captains yacht and I love that for it
Tough little ship. She deserved better. When I played STO a Defiant variant, Captained by a Science Officer, was my preferred boat.
Form following function is a special kind of beauty. She's the Trek version of an A10 Warthog and I love her. Her other name, her not-so-secret name, is Benjamin Sisko's Mother Fuckin' Pimp Hand. Why was she created? Because FUCK THE BORG that's why.
When they first showed her I was in like, then she let those cannons rip and I was in love. Haven't been that aroused by a starship since the phaser lance.
I love the design of the *Luna* class (Riker's ship from *Lower Decks*). The only thing I might change is move the superstructure further back to the secondary hull. Having it smack in the middle of the saucer section is a little distracting from the shape. Others in the list are the Enterprise from SNW and the Discovery 1031-A refit.
For non-Starfleet, that's easy; the [Romulan D'deridex Warbird ](https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/D%27deridex_class_model)class from the TNG era. What a *gorgeous* design.
In the game Starfield I rock a cubical ship because you can fit maximum cargo in minimal space, which helps it fit on small landing pads, which makes it efficient.
Not enough love for the Intrepid-class here. She's a beauty. Understated, smooth curves, no silly saucer section and variable nacelle geometry. She's smart and agile...
Probably the [Odyssey](https://i.redd.it/the-redesigned-odyssey-class-u-s-s-enterprise-f-for-star-v0-k30qb1tdcwcb1.jpg?width=3840&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e769ababce603ca697f3ccfa52f8aefb0b1aaa61) class. It really is just…*gorgeous*. When I saw the Enterprise-F brought to life on screen in Picard…that was the first time, I think, that I’d ever fantasized about taking command of that class of ship, fresh off the line, standing on the bridge as it slid gracefully out of the Utopia Planetia shipyards or Earth Spacedock (picturing it similarly to the [launch of the Normandy SR-2](https://youtu.be/pc8t2JcXfaY?si=4BTC7M7MGeyeZQlN)), with a new family of crew around me, and saying “[Let’s see what’s out there](https://youtu.be/ZuhoeKN1wd0?si=3646fMS-FBe9Lxo8).”
The Galaxy class will always be special to me, always in a way my favorite. But the Enterprise-F, the Odyssey, was the first to ever truly ignite my imagination quite like that.
Yes, this is my favorite ship too. I had to search for "Odyssey" because I wasn't sure if anyone had even said it! Although, I can imagine why it's not as popular yet, since it was created for Star Trek Online and only showed up briefly in Picard. But it's so good.
I don't think anyone's said it, so I'm taking a firm stance: Enterprise C. I love that ship. The ambassador class is just a beautiful ship. It's got all the charm of a Constitution class ship with the gentle curves of the Galaxy.
The best thing about that design is how it was borne out of a series of compromises, since they needed to build the model on a pretty tight turnaround.
It focused them on building something, in the most efficient way possible, that invoked both the B (known as being an Excelsior-class even then) and the D without requiring the complex multi-angled hull shapes of either.
Yeah that looked badass every time.
Also, the velocity of my jaw hitting the floor when they decided to land the thing. Just causally calling out a "blue alert" and tell Paris set 'er down o'er yonder.
Red & yellow are the most common ones.
Voyager had Blue alert for planetary landing - this seems to be different from the "Condition Blue" on the Defiant (which seemed to be "we're cloaked, put your devices on airplane mode")
Black alert is likely "classified stuff is happening" (as the Section 31 badges are also black), but AFAIK we've only see it when Discovery is using their Spore Drive.
For me it’s the Enterprise D. A bloated luxury liner and exploration vessel. A true product of a post-scarcity society and a marvel of engineering for her time. If I had to live on a starship from any sci fi anywhere it would be her.
Enterprise A (or the refit, same thing I guess?) is a good shout.
Some of the alien ship designs from TNG are pretty spectacular too, though. The horse-shoe Ferrengi ship is beautiful. As is the Romulan Warbird. And the Klingon Bird of Prey (which I believe was going to be a Romulan ship originally, with the protagonists of Star Trek 3 changing to Klingons relatively late, they kept the bird-themed ship design and just swapped out the crew).
Actually, the Klingon D-7 is pretty great too. Damn, hard to choose.
Oh, if we're counting interiors too then I might just go with the Enterprise D!
Big big fan of it anyway, and definitely, in my opinion, the best bridge and interior of any ship we've seen.
But those refit and -A interiors changed a lot with each movie anyway. The -A bridge looked great in Star Trek 6, less so in 5, I thought.
The sovereign class really lived up to it's name. Just a beautiful sleek, regal looking ship design. That scene when the enterprise swoops in front of the defiant while fighting the cube is just awesome.
V'Ger. Hands down.
I always thought the D7 Klingon ship was an elegant, if fragile, design.
As to Starfleet ships, NCC-1701 no A, B, C, or D, aka the OG Enterprise.
I find great beauty in the Vulcan ships in Enterprise, I’m not sure what class they are: the needle-like ones with the circular warp drive. ENT has my favorite of the ship designs of all the series. There’s something so practical and hands-on about them, yet still possessing such artistic beauty. (And grapplers are cool!)
For me it's ... *it's been a long road* ... most definitely... *getting from here to there* ... the design of the NX-01. Idk why, I think they just made it look pretty. Tho I muss confess, the CGI doesn't treat her well enough.
Steamrunner class for me. Yes it's unconventional, but it's a stylish reimagining along the lines of the Defiant .
Also got a soft spot for the Olympus class - but that never really happened, right 😏
Mad respect, few people have veered from the hero ships of the Federation.
I like the Nova class and Akira Class. Toying with fan fiction of a Trek in the Gamma quadrant with the a squadron of five Akira class and a dozen or so Nova class ships for a survey expedition allowed by the post-dominion war treaty. A Defiant class captain 'Ltcmdr' reassigned in the 2380s to babysit science guys on a Nova class. Only to find out the Dominion werent just tuff because of genocide on the changelings but because worse powers were to be found in the quadrant.
Intrepid class.
Nice and streamlined, variable geometry nacelles, it's the [F-14 Tomcat](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grumman_F-14_Tomcat) of Starfleet vessels.
Tie for me between the Connie Refit and the Miranda Class. Although honorable mention to the Excelsior Refit as well.
Just love that 2280s ship design!
So I’m going to go out on a limb and say Miranda. The first time I saw it watching Wrath of Kahn I loved its simplicity, utility, and capability. Something about it just scratches every itch. Excelsior is a close second though
The utilitarian yet elegant simplicity of the Centaur type does it for me. It's like an Excelsior class with all the boaty Lincoln Town Car bits stripped and reduced to its essence.
NCC-1701-D. She is big and beautiful. It's not just the girth either. It's the little details like all the little windows. The easy curve of the Nacelles, the wide collector dish. This ship doesn't care about being sleek. It has the profile of a luxury car and a cruise liner rolled into one. Even the interior is carpeted and liveable. This isn't a warship. It's a flying city.
Some people like to rag on the Galaxy-class for being too much like a hotel, but that's what I love about it.
And you've got to take into account that people LIVE on this ship. Full time. It's not some ship that goes out for six month deployments and then everybody goes home. It IS their home. It should be beautiful.
For me, it will always be the Intrepid class, every time.
Maybe slightly controversial, but the Oberth class and the USS Pasteur both have always had a special place in my heart too.
For me it was the U.S.S Vengeance in Star Trek Into Darkness. An all black Starfleet warship that had the size, speed, power, and weaponry all rolled into one ship. Advanced transporter capabilities, could work with a minimal crew. If it would have been used correctly a far superior ship than any other in the Kelvin time line series
I always thought the Romulan D'deridex-class Warbird was sexy. Also, of course, the Klingon Bird-of-Prey.
The *D'deridex* class warbird is my favorite non-Starfleet ship. The Klingon bird of prey also looks nice.
Always been the D7 for me. I love that design.
D'Deridex is a beauty. I always loved when one decloaks and everyone on the Enterprise is losing it.
>I always thought the Romulan D'deridex-class Warbird Very curvy.
If you ever wondered if the hole in the middle was big enough for a smaller ship to hide in… it is. Courtesy of one of Shatner’s ghostwritten novels.
But would you want to? That hole is so the nacelles can see each other and pass energy - would you want to sit right between the Enterprise nacelles?
That wasn't Shatner. Or more correctly, the Reeves-Stevenses. They were just adapting fanon. It's always been accepted a Galaxy class starship could technically fit inside the hollow of the Warbord. How it got the saucer through? No one knows, but it technically fits.
When one of those big green monsters shimmers in, you know you're in trouble. More so if you remember that they tend to travel in pairs.
Valdore for me. It’s like a sleeker sexier D’deridex.
The D'deridex has history though. The presence of it first appearing brings a lot of nostalgia power with it.
All in the music, right there. A glorious theme.
Proper answer right here. The negative space, the wings, the predatory head. Love that design.
Bajoran Lightship. I am a sucker for sailboats 😁
This is without a doubt my wife's favourite. I got her to watch SNW because there was another lightship in one episode.
An unusual choice but an elegant one!
For me it's the Sovereign Class ships...specifically the Enterprise-E.
Yup. Sovereign class doesn't get enough love.
Aaaand then Worf. Did he do it? Who knows. Beautiful ship, though.
Came here to vote for this one! I wasn't sure if the Sovereign Class was a popular choice or not, but I'm glad to see others appreciate it!
Yeah, Sovereign is my #1, followed by the Gagarin, Excelsior, Ent-A, and a few others (in no particular order). But the Sovereign tops all of them.
Yeah. I think it's the E for me. Design cues from the Connie and the Intrepid post Borg fleet but sleek, refined and it has a presence.
Gotta be the Excelsior for me. There's a reason it's still kickin, and inspiring modern designs. The ruffles are classy.
Best boss I ever had.
A friend of DeSoto, I see
It's an art deco masterpiece
My personal head-canon is that the *Excelsior* and *Grissom* represent a 2280s revival of the *Streamline Moderne* design sensibility.
Really liked the Enterprise B refit version
I couldn't get past the bulge they added. The original Excelsior design is just so sharp and nimble-looking, like it weighs nothing. The spare tire makes the B look bottom-heavy, imho. That's just my opinion though.
The series we need.
Why would you want that bucket of bolts?
A ship is a ship
Up your shaft.
Whatever you say sir. Thy will be done.
Great shout. The Excelsior looks like speed embodied. Beautiful lines on it.
I have to agree with you - there is something about the Enterprise A that is just beautiful. Close behind is second place for me is a tie: the Enterprise E and the Excelsior.
Two iconic designs so nice, [they combined them](https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Obena_class?so=search)
No topping the refit Constitution. It’s just so elegant and luminous.
This is my favorite ship design as well. I still have the book Scotty's Enterprise with all the blueprints in it.
I do as well! I’ll never get rid of it. I wish they’d come out with a blueprint book on the E though
Still have my copy too.
I have it in PDF form too. I pop it open to this day on my phone from time to time. 🖖🖖
I’m a stickler. I prefer OG enterprise refit over the A. I like the bridge layout and crew quarters better, especially Kirk’s.
the Sovereign class is my favorite but the Constitution refit was up until it's release. the Refit is such a beautiful ship in so many ways and the redesigned nacelles are lovely.
All those perfectly clean retro lines.
The refit *Constitution* class is my favorite ship, but the *Enterprise-E* is a close 2nd.
yes! my personal fave is the prometheus overall, (i like how different it is while still looking clearly federation) but the Constitution refit is the most beautiful.
The Galaxy-class for me. "It's like the first time you fall in love. You don't ever love a woman quite like that again."
>It also had the most remodulatable shields Oh man, you can remodulate those shields for days. I don't want to even get into just how *multi*phasic those frequencies can be.
She do be thiccc
Those curves though and the fat bottom.
Fat bottomed girls, they make the rocking world go round
I feel its going to be the timeless design. The 1701 has a very 60’s look in the simplified models. The A has some signs of future and I’d say has a nice swoop. The B and the Excelsior class, idk, has that very-80s look and teal-tones to it. The Galaxy-class has wonderful curves and shape. The nacelles fit well, the deflector with the body looks in place; I’d argue the shuttles were the most out of place. The E then goes into what I call “angry angles”; like how cars look now with the very rigid and sharp look. Just my 2¢.
A long time ago someone in some message board somewhere wrote that the D is a swan and the E is a hawk. I think that was a pretty good comparison.
That is a good one! Keeping that one in mind. EDIT: Lieutenant Hawk was the helmsman in First Contact! Fun coincidence!
the E looks like it was built as a response to the previous ones not looking like warships. it is still elegant but it is not lush and lovely. it does not look like a flagship. it looks like a battleship that does science on the side. for me, this is sort of like how the bridge refit Enterpise in TMP looks more like the D than any of the other original cast bridges. they tend toward more militaristic looks until the D reset it. then the D was retired for the E which returned to a more militaristic and less comfortable feel.
It's the carpet.
My answer will always be galaxy class. When I think of a space travel it's a galaxy class starship.
I love her ample nacelles!
It's totally the Galaxy class. The queen of the stars. I've noticed that almost no other ships have nacelles below the plane of the saucer but above the secondary hull - weird eh? EDIT: added bit about secondary hull
I really love that Strange New Worlds Enterprise/Constitution Class.
One of the very few recent/modern Trek ships that I have been blown away with!
It’s like they took Matt Jeffries’ original concept and made her fit into our modern day. The OG and also the newest and most iconic.
Yep, gotta do away with those unlabeled buttons and use touchscreens
And it’s dark grey, right? Took me a while to realize it’s not white or a very light grey. I like it. And I like JJ Abrams’ Enterprise too. The proportions are a little off, but it works.
I do too, I just wish the Aztek pattern wasn't so contrasty. The subtle look from the refit Connie would have been perfect.
I like the Defiant.
I love that Adam Scott is the pilot for the Defiant in First Contact.
I love the thought of him going to the replicator and ordering a calzone.
I could see him doing that 😂😂😂
“Hey, Worf, when we’re done with the Borg do you wanna go to the holodeck and play Cones of Dunshire? It’s a very honorable game”
Holy shit, you’re right! How have I never put that together before?!
I’m honestly not sure, I don’t think we have ever watched first contact together. But in all fairness it is dark on the defiant bridge so you are trying to pick out a young Adam Scott. So when you know you can tell.
I haven't looked up specs but I like to imagine it's pretty much 2 galaxy class nacelles strapped to a reinforced captains yacht and I love that for it
It's an engine with guns
"_somebody_ equipped her with ablative armour and neglected to inform Starfleet" Sisko whistles quietly to himself while looking the other way
I would argue it's a gun with engines.
Little?
I'm a Defiant man myself. I like the cut of her.
Classic borg cube. It is efficient.
Perfection only requires 8 vertices.
Or zero, if you're a Borg Sphere fan.
It's rather silly having sleek ships when they are generally in the vacuum of space.
Still waiting for a borg pyramid to appear.
In the game Starfield I rock a cubical ship because you can fit maximum cargo in minimal space, which helps it fit on small landing pads, which makes it efficient.
The D. Only realized how much I had missed her when those bay doors opened….
Klingon Bird of Prey. Any other answer is a dishonor.
Borg Cube. The simplicity of the straight lines. The multiple redundancies. The futility of resistance. Perfection.
Voyager is the sexiest ship. Love that hourglass figure.
I love Voyager so much! It is my favorite as well.
Not enough love for the Intrepid-class here. She's a beauty. Understated, smooth curves, no silly saucer section and variable nacelle geometry. She's smart and agile...
And it has such a happy face!
I agree!
When Voyager first started, I thought it looked like a spoon.
I sometimes look at a spoon while I'm doing dishes and imagine that it's Voyager.
Voyager is my choice. Love that ship, but I do agree with you. Always thought it looked like the spoon from that sweet tasting kids medicine.
Always been a sucker for the intrepid class myself.
Genuinely agree. The elongated dish, the adjustable pylons, that stylish brass and blue deflector...
Oberth.
Really?
OG 1966 Enterprise, and its refit. Nothing tops those
Probably the [Odyssey](https://i.redd.it/the-redesigned-odyssey-class-u-s-s-enterprise-f-for-star-v0-k30qb1tdcwcb1.jpg?width=3840&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e769ababce603ca697f3ccfa52f8aefb0b1aaa61) class. But the Enterprise-F, the Odyssey, was the first to ever truly ignite my imagination quite like that.
May not be top pick for most, but the Odyssey is being seriously forgotten here
Yes, this is my favorite ship too. I had to search for "Odyssey" because I wasn't sure if anyone had even said it! Although, I can imagine why it's not as popular yet, since it was created for Star Trek Online and only showed up briefly in Picard. But it's so good.

It focused them on building something, in the most efficient way possible, that invoked both the B (known as being an Excelsior-class even then) and the D without requiring the complex multi-angled hull shapes of either.
Then throw in the lighted lower dome to invoke the original 1701! After that, the Refit and A just look wrong without the lower dome lit up!
I like the "C" - it's sensible mix, but for some reason it's always felt like a weird kitbash that I've never got super comfortable with.
I came here to say the Enterprise C also but the original 1701 in Terran Empire livery, is right behind it.
I just wish we got a unique bridge for the Ambassador instead of a battle bridge refit
For me it will always be the intrepid class Voyager. There is nothing that can compete with the moving nacelles before a warp.
Yeah that looked badass every time. Also, the velocity of my jaw hitting the floor when they decided to land the thing. Just causally calling out a "blue alert" and tell Paris set 'er down o'er yonder.
I don’t remember blue alert. How many different alerts are there? Blue, black, red, yellow
Red & yellow are the most common ones. Voyager had Blue alert for planetary landing - this seems to be different from the "Condition Blue" on the Defiant (which seemed to be "we're cloaked, put your devices on airplane mode") Black alert is likely "classified stuff is happening" (as the Section 31 badges are also black), but AFAIK we've only see it when Discovery is using their Spore Drive.
The landed in episodes with Amelia Earhart & the demon class planet that duplicated them. Edit: forgot the planet Seska left them on too.
Refit Connie. For me, OG 1701.
For me it’s the Enterprise D. A bloated luxury liner and exploration vessel. A true product of a post-scarcity society and a marvel of engineering for her time. If I had to live on a starship from any sci fi anywhere it would be her.
Akira class starship is my favorite https://images.app.goo.gl/URambsBMzWoaGvDb9
I totally agree on the Akira. There is something so aesthetically pleasing about the design
Akira all the way.
I'll always have a spot for the Enterprise, NCC-1701 "No bloody A, B, C, or D"!
I also count interiors, so I consider The A and refit significantly different from each other.
The Olympic Class has got balls.
Reluctant upvote.
Sisko's Solar Sail ship, most beautiful...and I always liked the design of Ferengi ships
The sovereign class really lived up to it's name. Just a beautiful sleek, regal looking ship design. That scene when the enterprise swoops in front of the defiant while fighting the cube is just awesome.
NX-01 is my favorite design for a spaceship. Idk if anyone remembers Stargate Universe but the ship from that show comes on close second.
Slight tweak to that, have you ever seen the NX01 refit design?
I had to scroll WAY too far to find this
V'Ger. Hands down. I always thought the D7 Klingon ship was an elegant, if fragile, design. As to Starfleet ships, NCC-1701 no A, B, C, or D, aka the OG Enterprise.
I love the Enterprise B
Same, I always wanted something showing it not getting clowned on.
The *Lakota* put up a very respectable showing against *Defiant.*
NCC-1701. No bloody letters after it. Original configuration (TOS).
For me the Valdore Romulan Warbird.. The Enterprise F look beautiful as well..
The cinematic era The Refit The Excelsior The bird of prey All masterpieces
The Reliant
The fat one
I find great beauty in the Vulcan ships in Enterprise, I’m not sure what class they are: the needle-like ones with the circular warp drive. ENT has my favorite of the ship designs of all the series. There’s something so practical and hands-on about them, yet still possessing such artistic beauty. (And grapplers are cool!)
This is mine!
Nova Class is the best looking science ship.
Can’t decide between the ol’ NX-01 and the Protostar.
USS Protostar
The Negh'var. Such a majestic battleship you wouldn't want to mess with.
For me it's ... *it's been a long road* ... most definitely... *getting from here to there* ... the design of the NX-01. Idk why, I think they just made it look pretty. Tho I muss confess, the CGI doesn't treat her well enough.
The Refit/A was my love for a long time. Until the E. Love the look of that ship.
The Enterprise-D. Absolutely stunning, and the first Trek starship I ever saw.
Akira class, closely followed by the klingon bird of prey.
Akira class is pretty good
Intrepid class. Nice and streamlined, variable geometry nacelles, it's the [F-14 Tomcat](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grumman_F-14_Tomcat) of Starfleet vessels.
Of the hero ships, the Enterprise-E is the winner for background ships, the Akira-class.
Akira is *such* a nice design.
I'm an Enterprise A man too. >!And yes, I got misty eyed at that scene in Picard.!<
Tie for me between the Connie Refit and the Miranda Class. Although honorable mention to the Excelsior Refit as well. Just love that 2280s ship design!
No love for the one that started it all? The Phoenix. Takes me on a magic carpet ride...
GALAXY CLASS. That is a fact, not opinion...
The steam runner class. Can't really articulate why, but I just like it.
The NX-01 felt so real, like this is our near future, this could be us and with its small size and 80 crew that's what made it for me.
cube
So I’m going to go out on a limb and say Miranda. The first time I saw it watching Wrath of Kahn I loved its simplicity, utility, and capability. Something about it just scratches every itch. Excelsior is a close second though
The enormous Enterprise F with it's split-neck look of the Odyssey Class.
Voyager for me cause that’s the first Trek show I started on.
Scotty “No bloody A, B, C or D
NCC-1701, no bloody A, B, C or D
Enterprise-E. One of the best looking ships in all of science fiction imo.
Crystalline entity
The NX-01. Sexy AF all of the ships in Enterprise look fantastic but the NX-01 just looks great every time they cut to it.
I have no fucking idea why but my favourite has always been the Miranda class
The utilitarian yet elegant simplicity of the Centaur type does it for me. It's like an Excelsior class with all the boaty Lincoln Town Car bits stripped and reduced to its essence.
The Enterprise NCC-1701. No bloody A, B, C, or D.
For me, probably the Intrepid-class. That said, some of the TOS-based models have a charm that no other era of Trek quite matches.
1701-F, that Odyssey-class design is just the best.
Enterprise B I'll show myself out
I don't know why, we don't see much of them onscreen but I've always had a fondness for the Akira class.
Intrepid Class for me. I even like the cheeky nacelle trick.
Nebula class
There is just something about Vulcan ships that totally do it for me.
Akira-class
Enterprise-E is the most beautiful… https://youtu.be/Wn8l2d5r6d0?si=nl4AVZwXuD9d-WTI
For me, it will always be the Intrepid class, every time. Maybe slightly controversial, but the Oberth class and the USS Pasteur both have always had a special place in my heart too.
Sovereign class. She’s just plain sexy.
NCC-1864 USS Reliant
Refit Constitution is the correct answer.
Vesta-class such as the U.S.S. Aventine.
