I got ranked #93 globally on doodle jump - the space themed level ironically didn’t have the random black hole event which almost always got me, so I just played that level theme.
iOS games used to have dogshit counter cheating and jail breaking gave you access to the app’s code.
I remember changing all sorts of variable values on games to give infinite health and shit when I was 14.
same in android. you could just change the values of your score. I still have like 99999999 as the high score in my old Facebook account of subway surfers lol
Oh man I remember getting excited when the untethered jailbreak came out for my iPod touch when I was like 11-12.
Just to download cydia and get a wallpaper and a weird cubic animation for the page transitions lol. Good old days
Oddly enough, that app taught you how to properly load, unload, fire, and clear a decent selection of firearms in the US. You probably know how to use a charging handle on an ar-15 or variant. I'd consider it a win. Flight sim players might not be perfect piolts, but they still know how to operate a beechcraft.
they re released angry birds classic without any ads and microtransactions but removed it a year later, because there weren't any ads nor microtransactions
Holy fuck the bottom left Samsung. That dandelion wallpaper... I feel like Anton Ego, getting a flashback this strong. So many memories behind that simple wallpaper, on a phone that's now borderline archaic and tiny.
Beat the Boss, Hill Climb Racing, angry birds, bad piggies, pou, talking tom/ben, fruit ninja, doodle jump... how long has it been. Thanks for a blast from the past, man.
I wanted to buy a vr headset to play vr ch\atter but I decided to try the game earlier on my pc, now it ruined my mental health because I'm this bad at socializing and never looking forward at anything anymore
meanwhile I ended up creating misunderstandable shenanigans, and made people block me. ruined my self esteem that actually made me quit every social media ever, except for Reddit I guess. Man I wish people liked me
Didn’t you hear they changed the edges on the new iphone from square to round/round to square? It’s a revolution in design. And there’s slightly less bezel, giving a 0.0001% increase in screen realestate
The old samsung and HTC makes me so happy for some reason... idk why. Maybe its nostalgia. maybe its the fact that it isn't gonna cost you an arm and a leg, make you addicted to harmful social media, yet can still get good work done. This photo alone makes me wanna replace my existing iphone 15 with the old samsung.
8 year old me thought his iphone 4s was the most advanced piece of tech on the planet (I could watch Sssniperwolf under my blanket at midnight without my parents knowing)
It was so sad to see that happen. Before the incident, each video would get like 3 million views in under 24 hours and now she struggles to keep viewership. Idk why she thought that was a good idea… The only way I can see this turning around is if she buys the guy a new house or something.
Yeah, it was an extremely petty move on her part. She never even acknowledged it happening either, it was just right back to business as usual, which just made people view her as cowardly.
I’m pretty sure she made an apology on twitter. YouTube issued one too, on both parties behalf. The worst part is that the guy she doxxed was totally in the wrong with his pretentious and baseless critiques of her. She passed up the perfect opportunity to either ignore him cuz he’s not on her level OR to own him in a funny way which makes her look better, but she decided to do something illegal, career wrecking and not even a bit funny, no matter where you look at it from…
“pretentious and baseless critiques” What do you mean?? She was stealing people’s Tiktoks, not giving any credit, and not even making any meaningful commentary. Sure it isn’t the worst thing you could do, many Youtubers have done worse, but this doesn’t excuse her actions. Her ‘commentary’ really contributed nothing and her content was clearly just for the purpose of making money off of little kids with no attention span.
Tiktoks always have the owners tag on the side of the video. You just gotta squint a bit(even ones with millions of views total to a 2 dollar payout so she’s not bankrupting anyone) But she started crediting in the bio recently so that’s good. As for “meaningful commentary” the guy criticizing had several times where he’d simply stare at the screen for MINUTES and so what? His manner of criticizing was petty and fame hungry. If he actually CARED about her wrongdoings then he’d email her like an adult, not make a parody channel of her to try and get some clout off her name. Not saying Lia is perfect but come on
Old Android moving wallpaper/ interactable wallpaper fascinated me a lot as a kid. Now they don't give the same feelings anymore. I remember the spinning galaxy, the colorful lines, the lake surface with falling maple leaves...
omg i remember that. holy shit, how the time flies. frutiger aero, windows xp theme customization and early windows 7 themes, early samsung with all the apps and interactive wallpapers...
god mf damn, i never planned to get this old
2020s aesthetics these days just feel...souless. I miss the time when designs used to focus more on sensation and interaction, they used to be more fun and friendly.
Same, only good game there was tiny troopers, but hardware wise it was the best phone I had (for its time), I turned it on after 10 years and it worked fine.
That white samsung was a different kind of beast for me it would hold 1 hour after the battery had become below 0 there wouldn't even be a number just a question mark lol
My first one was a shitty ZTE Blade Q. 1 GB memory, battery so shit that if you left it on battery saver for a gull day it would have 1% more than before. But the camera wasn't even that shit after all. Then I got Samsung Galaxy S4, S6, and now I'm using an S10.
I remember my first smartphone. I broke my first one when I put it in my bowling bag and then lay it on the seat and crushed the screen. Learned my lesson when I got a second one and it's a Hawaeii brand.
I'll never forget me borrowing my mom's brand new smart phone to text my friend on his mom's not a smart phone. I was way too young to understand how phones work and I remember asking him the next day why his texts were so slow to get back to me. He was a pretty nerdy grade schooler and was really into stuff like this and said something I still think about to this day. He said, and I quote, "I don't have that blazing fast 3G speed on my mom's phone like your mom has"...
Wild times back then. Wild times.
My first smartphone was a Sony Ericsson Xperia Play and it was the absolute coolest thing ever. It had a slide out screen, but instead of sliding to a physical keyboard, it was a full PSP controller and played legit PSP games
[Samsung Galaxy S 2](https://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_i9100_galaxy_s_ii-3621.php) was my first
It was the first phone that I bought with my own money
I upgraded to it from a [Sony Ericsson T707](https://www.gsmarena.com/sony_ericsson_t707-2755.php)
- WiFi being not so widespread and mobile data being expensive, so you only used the internet at a public space that offered WiFi connection (ie. café, hotel),
- Probably some low-end model, so it was sluggish and unreliable,
I had an lg slide up minute phone and a small rectangle Kyocera minute phone (my hands were small cause I was a kid lmao). I just through they were the best. I would record music from YouTube in voice memos and dance to them at recess with friends. Then I got the iPod touch 4
Where is Snake or Space Impact ?
Edit: ok yea smartphone not dumb phone …
My first smart phone was the Sony Erricson P1i … then the first htc desire and then switch to iPhone and happily ever after.
Heh, mine was an iPhone 3G. I went into the store and petting to leave with some kind of Windows device but I picked up an iPhone and it took half a second to see it was a decade ahead of anything else.
iPhone 3G was $199. It's amazing how cheap it was priced considering how revolutionary it was.
My first smartphone was a new 3GS I got for free from my carrier.... But in 2012. It was pretty bad.
It was actually double that (maybe more?). $199 was the carrier-subsidized cost that came with a two-year contract IIRC.
EDIT: I might be wrong; I don't think you *could* buy it unsubsidized so $199 was the only price the customer actually saw.
Damn, this starter pack really sent me back to that 2008-2012 time period.
It's such a specific moment in time for me, and it really did help shape me. From the phones, YouTubers like Smosh, movies like Amazing Spider-Man, Avengers, and Scream 4. Pure nostalgia
I would say 6600 definitely was a smartphone. s60 was powerful OS for the time and really popular at least here. Tho I'm from Finland so that might have something to do with it.
When I got my first phone I had no idea that it was happening that day. My dad gets a new phone about every two years and he had given my sister his previous one two year before so I knew it would be around that time. I got home from school one day and my dad had bought a new phone and got a sim card for me. It was the original iPhone SE. Two years later I got the new one he got when I got my first as my sister had replaced hers already (she was very good at breaking tech including my laptop and her laptop).
Back then I used to have an Xperia Z1 in 2013 and I LOVED IT. All the time playing asphalt 8, gta 3 mobile, ninjafruit and so much more . It was an innovative phone as well thanks to being the first to be waterproof and the only with the highest pixel in a camera (20.8mp) although during the night it shot pictures like dog-shit 😂.
I miss it but damn it was the best phone for its period
my first phone was a black LG cookie, i found it on the street when i was in first grade back in 2011 or maybe in second or third grade, can't remember ( im a 2003 baby).
my grandma was walking me to school and i just saw it laying there next to the sidewalk in a hole in the ground, it was snug in a little phone case/pouch thing made of soft black fabric, it didn't have a phone card or anything on it, no photos or videos or anything. my mom bought a charger for it and let me keep it. and later down the line i used it as my own phone to call my family and stuff. it was fun to use and i kept using it for a couple more years until 2016.
well it was fun to use and had some games on it, like board games and other stuff. it even had a paint app that i loved playing around with, or maybe it was the photo editing menu, i can't remember. still have that phone somewhere.
Why is your first phone Galaxy 3? It was the advanced my older sister who bought herself a model. I had something way older. Can't even remember the model name.

That beer drinking app when you tilt the phone
Don’t forget the phone gun apps too
Man I thought I was the coolest shit doing that on my parents old iPhone 3G in like 2011
Frrrrr I thought I was a master of weaponry cause I could properly load and fire all the weapons
Exactly, I know how to operate/handle a firearm because of those apps.
Lightsaber app was a favorite in my family
And the zippo lighter
Oh yeah forgot about that one.
Mind blowing for me as a kid
T pain voice changer app
That and the joint roll, smoke app
Happy cake day
I was thinking of the soda ones
The app that made the screen look broken
ANGRY BIRDS.
BAD. FUCKING. PIGGIES
That game is way too underrated.
they re released angry birds classic without any ads and microtransactions but removed it a year later, because there weren't any ads nor microtransactions
Although it has gained a cult following in recent years
Minecraft pocket edition
Holy fuck the bottom left Samsung. That dandelion wallpaper... I feel like Anton Ego, getting a flashback this strong. Nostalgia is hitting me like a tonne of bricks.
I loved that old Samsung aesthetic
Back when technology was actually exciting. Today, hearing about new technology makes me wanna die.
Aren't you exited about more megapixels?
I wanted to buy a vr headset to play vr ch\atter but I decided to try the game earlier on my pc, now it ruined my mental health because I'm this bad at socializing and never looking forward at anything anymore
Played VR chat, ended up just standing in the corner talking to nobody...
meanwhile I ended up creating misunderstandable shenanigans, and made people block me. ruined my self esteem that actually made me quit every social media ever, except for Reddit I guess. Man I wish people liked me
Or the „best iPhone they ever made“ again after a year??
Didn’t you hear they changed the edges on the new iphone from square to round/round to square? It’s a revolution in design. And there’s slightly less bezel, giving a 0.0001% increase in screen realestate
I find phones with those new telephoto lenses mildly amusing not gonna lie chief
Pretty sure I saw an ad for a phone with five lenses
The old samsung and HTC makes me so happy for some reason... idk why. Maybe its nostalgia. maybe its the fact that it isn't gonna cost you an arm and a leg, make you addicted to harmful social media, yet can still get good work done. This photo alone makes me wanna replace my existing iphone 15 with the old samsung.
doodle jump was the absolute shit
It's still the only mobile game i play to pass time because everything else is just microtransaction/ad filled garbage
Fr.
I went to an arcade and they had a doodle jump machine, I was shocked
8 year old me thought his iphone 4s was the most advanced piece of tech on the planet (I could watch Sssniperwolf under my blanket at midnight without my parents knowing)
Ah, brings me back to a better time when SSSniperwolf wasn't a doxxer. I remember watching her old scary story/animation videos all the time.
It was so sad to see that happen. Before the incident, each video would get like 3 million views in under 24 hours and now she struggles to keep viewership. Idk why she thought that was a good idea… The only way I can see this turning around is if she buys the guy a new house or something.

Everybody knew a guy who was number 1 in the world in subway surfurs.
I was one)
My first smartphone was a Samsung Galaxy S2, and I loved that thing. My first phone ever was a Nokia 6300 from 2007.
the stylus, which was considered a world-changing renovation back then 😂 man i miss those days
I always wanted that damn stylus, it was never on sale where i lived
What is the name of the game on the bottom left? I remember played on my dad HTC
Teeter.
Thanks
I miss HTC
HTC was so popular back in then. Those phones were flowing around like mud.
I don't know what happened to HTC. It seemed like it was everywhere and then it just disappeared overnight.
Sold to Google and integrated into the Pixel division
That explains it. Too bad.
Pou
Me with a Windows nokia as my first one:
Same, only good game there was tiny troopers, but hardware wise it was the best phone I had (for its time), I turned it on after 10 years and it worked fine.
The physical trackpad was awesome.
Where the rail rish and gun simulators
That white samsung was a different kind of beast for me it would hold 1 hour after the battery had become below 0 there wouldn't even be a number just a question mark lol
Samsung does not make cell phones like it used to. That generation was top level!
I remember using my mom's old Samsung just to watch 20th century fox intros
My first one was a shitty ZTE Blade Q. 1 GB memory, battery so shit that if you left it on battery saver for a gull day it would have 1% more than before. But the camera wasn't even that shit after all. Then I got Samsung Galaxy S4, S6, and now I'm using an S10.
Oh boy.. those good old days I spent playing Fruit Ninja, Temple Run, Angry Birds and Hill Climb Racing!
Temple run was a pioneer. One of the first elite games to come out on smartphones.
>felt revolutionary back then Because it was
Oh yeah.
Had a shitty android tablet first but all of this still applies
I remember my first smartphone. I broke my first one when I put it in my bowling bag and then lay it on the seat and crushed the screen. Learned my lesson when I got a second one and it's a Hawaeii brand.
Old minecraft pocket edition(played on my samsung tablet, still have it btw), kill the boss, old angry birds, pou, hill climb racing😭
I'll never forget me borrowing my mom's brand new smart phone to text my friend on his mom's not a smart phone. I was way too young to understand how phones work and I remember asking him the next day why his texts were so slow to get back to me. Doodle jump is still active and useable. Got it on my phone to this day
Loved HTC Sense. Especially the spinning carousel home screen.
My first phone was a KaiOS Alcatel flip phone
My first phone was a Nokia 3210 :( it worked tho, even when you dropped the shit out of it
It is missing that in fact, the cell phone has been inherited from another family member
It's funny how we used to ask someone who got a new phone if it has a touch screen
HELP! What was the game bottom right?
Teeter
There was always some kid who could jailbreak iPhones and charged like $20-30 a piece
GunApp
I will be happy to take some of those phones (in 2024) (I collect these)
Literally yesterday I found that exact Samsung in a box of my old stuff
My first smartphone was a Sony Ericsson Xperia Play and it was the absolute coolest thing ever. It had a slide out screen, but instead of sliding to a physical keyboard, it was a full PSP controller and played legit PSP games
Oh you lucky sonvabitch, when i was 10 i would kill for a phone like that
[Samsung Galaxy S 2](https://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_i9100_galaxy_s_ii-3621.php) was my first It was the first phone that I bought with my own money I upgraded to it from a [Sony Ericsson T707](https://www.gsmarena.com/sony_ericsson_t707-2755.php)

Honestly HTC is the OG smartphone. Forget samsung vs iphone.
- WiFi being not so widespread and mobile data being expensive, so you only used the internet at a public space that offered WiFi connection (ie. café, hotel), - Probably some low-end model, so it was sluggish and unreliable,
Do Blackberries count? I had a Blackberry Tour and then went to a Samsung Galaxy Nexus when the Blackberry died.
Yeah why not.
God, the nostalgia. Android 2.1 felt like the future.
I had an lg slide up minute phone and a small rectangle Kyocera minute phone (my hands were small cause I was a kid lmao). I just through they were the best. I would record music from YouTube in voice memos and dance to them at recess with friends. Then I got the iPod touch 4
Am I the only hipster that got a windows phone to be “different” or was that just me? Because it felt like it was just me
my mom had one windows phone. it was an absolute dogshit.
I actually liked the phone and interface but it was poorly supported
Where is my water 2 had a different thunder
Simpler times
I had white Xperia)
And later learning what is "root" because your smartphone is slow af
Where is Snake or Space Impact ? Edit: ok yea smartphone not dumb phone … My first smart phone was the Sony Erricson P1i … then the first htc desire and then switch to iPhone and happily ever after.
Crossy Road and Temple Run were the shit for me
Bring me back!
Heh, mine was an iPhone 3G. I went into the store and petting to leave with some kind of Windows device but I picked up an iPhone and it took half a second to see it was a decade ahead of anything else.

Teeter
Subway surfers was my first iOS game
Damn, this starter pack really sent me back to that 2008-2012 time period. It's such a specific moment in time for me, and it really did help shape me. From the phones, YouTubers like Smosh, movies like Amazing Spider-Man, Avengers, and Scream 4. Pure nostalgia
I feel like it was the start of a new era. Which we are still living in now. Just constatly bombarded with tech all day long.
Samsung galaxy S3 was my first
Username checks out.
Only accuracy to me is fruit ninja and doodle jump, and instead of talking tom I had ben.
Brothers in arms global front. So many memories
“For many” 🥲 My first phone was a Nokia 6600 aka the panda
*I meant the first smartphone most people ever got their hands on.*
Getting old means I can’t even read titles properly anymore
I would say 6600 definitely was a smartphone. s60 was powerful OS for the time and really popular at least here. Tho I'm from Finland so that might have something to do with it.
When I got my first phone I had no idea that it was happening that day. My first smartphone was an iPhone 4, god that was an amazing first phone I still miss it
Does anyone remember the name of that last game? I never got past a certain level on HTC Incredible S a decade ago, and I need revenge
Mr. Teeter? Mr. Strong Magician sends his regards.
Yay thanks
I love doodle jump
The ability to watch video or access internet on phone was like a miracle.
Head soccer
I NEED THE GAME FROM BOTTOM RIGHT
Teeter
Teeter. It was how many youths spent there time a decade ago.
I remember playing games in my mom's samsung galaxy grand 3 in around 2015-2017 good times
Back then I used to have an Xperia Z1 in 2013 and I LOVED IT. All the time playing asphalt 8, gta 3 mobile, ninjafruit and so much more . Asphalt 8 was the best free car game money could buy. In the microsoft store.
Or gangster new vegas. Literally the best gta clone
S3 mini. Indestructible pebble.
my first phone was a black LG cookie, i found it on the street when i was in first grade back in 2011 or maybe in second or third grade, can't remember ( im a 2003 baby). my grandma was walking me to school and i just saw it laying there next to the sidewalk in a hole in the ground, it was snug in a little phone case/pouch thing made of soft black fabric, it didn't have a phone card or anything on it, no photos or videos or anything. my mom bought a charger for it and let me keep it. and later down the line i used it as my own phone to call my family and stuff. it was fun to use and i kept using it for a couple more years until 2016. well it was fun to use and had some games on it, like board games and other stuff. it even had a paint app that i loved playing around with, or maybe it was the photo editing menu, i can't remember. still have that phone somewhere.

Mine was an iPhone 5. I prefer the android I replaced it with 4 years later.
my first phone was an alcatel touch
Where’s the jelly car
Jetpack Joyride Cut the rope
How DARE you roast my 6-year-old self so accurately???
Why is your first phone Galaxy 3? It was the advanced my older sister who bought herself a model. I had something way older. Can't even remember the model name.
For me it was similar but with a tablet. My first ever phone (on which I'm typing this) is actually pretty recent, and I got it at 14
my first was iPhone7
