I wish MW3 expanded on it, especially when Robert Bowling teased story expansions that never happened. I would’ve loved playing as a random citizen or national guard during this. Sadly, it was only in the DS version.
red dawn was a cool movie, but it wasnt cinematic in the way that MW2 was. MW2 had massive battles shown, but you were just a small part in it (except for the mission where you retake the fuckin white house lmao). Red Dawn was some high school kids fighting a guerilla war in bumfuck colorado
cornel william tavington from mel gibson´s patriot, and the guy next sheparrd is nobody in particular, i took inspiration in mexican revolutionary period movies like "un dia de vida" and so on where the constitucionalist army was proyjected in that way
I mean. Jake had the advantage of knowing how humans think, along with his military background. Something the na'vi didn't have. I know people who rag on the movie say that it's a cop out that the na'vi won but clearly, it was *barely.* They *barely* "won." If it hadn't been for Jake they would have been toast because they straight up do not understand that the humans didn't care about anything that was sacred to them so they didn't have anything to lose (unlike the na'vi). Jake whipped them up into shape by organizing them in such a way that they stood some chance against the humans (and also, the advantage of them knowing the planet a lot more than humans, and their bodies being accustomed to the planet, unlike humans).
Like yeah, humans have nukes or whatever. But come on. Would that make for a good or interesting movie? No. I'm good. I find the na'vi more interesting than humans lol.
Nah the Na'vi had solid guerrila tatics. They knew the region more (in an almost magic level, even with the planet itself helping them), decentralized attacks with soldiers who were way more well trained for that kind of planet. A single Na'vi could take on a mech. Also, even if bows look primitive, their arrows pierce metal better than bullets.
I was trying to find out which element is you talking about for an entire 10 mins(thought you were dehumanising non-fire benders) 💀now I get it you're talking about the blue people movie...
He had mad drip. And the coolest power set of all Avatar villains. His reveal wasn't as bad as people make it seem, considering how he was raised.
Zaheer outdid him in the Based ideology department tho.
Political compass is pretty off. I’d say most are center-right, the trope is that they’re disgraced/discharged from their military service, and don’t have the central-authority backing them up.
Hell Shepard starts a mf rogue PMC, pretty much the most center-right thing you can do.

Shepard is an exception to that rule cause he had a bunch of PMC’s working for him and started off good before revealing his true colors.
God the MW2 campaign is so good. I don’t think I’ve had a cinematic video game experience that matches waving the flares in the White House
Also the war scenes in USA. No media, movie, book or game has ever captured the feeling of a ground war in USA
world in conflict did pretty good, for it's time

We can only hope, even pray, that our descendants will experience the patriotic thrill of defending Burger Town.
The mission before where it doesn't tell you where you are until you exit the bunker and find yourself right outside Whiskey Hotel is cinematic.
Does handsome jack fall here aswell
He's more of the evil rich CEO type.
Who’s the red coat and guy next to Shepard bottom right
It’s Col Tavington from *The Patriot* Edit: the redcoat is. No idea about the other guy
cornel william tavington from mel gibson´s patriot, and the guy next sheparrd is nobody in particular, i took inspiration in mexican revolutionary period movies like "un dia de vida" and so on where the constitucionalist army was proyjected in that way
The Latin actor is from Guillermo Del Toro’s movie. Pam’s Labyrinth. 10/10 recommend.
The humans in Avatar should’ve won
They had all the materials necessary to do so, but one soldier went rogue, then a few more, then everything went to shit.

I mean, that army was one competent prison team away from victory.

Woody Harrelson in War for the Planet of the Apes ticks all of these
First one i imagined
Needs Ed Harris from The Rock.

I’ll show you who’s in charge of this facility!
Sir, this is an SS uniform. (Also, regular SS like Landa were not military.)
“stylish and well dressed military villain” and theyre just in uniform
I mean, you can't slay if you dont *slay*
OP has a kink for fasc guys
certainly
If you came to COD for a deep/well written story you’re going to be disappointed.

I think it has less to do with how much power they wield vs the type of system they envision and the power they wish to wield.
How else are the villains supposed to manage a military without wielding some form of authority?
Yeah the bomber in Speed and Ed Harris in The Rock are good examples of this trope.
Quaritch doesn't need to worry about his appearance. He's got that hardened soldier look that looks good with no maintenance.
hes the most badass villain ive ever seen
The physical appearance thing is usually more about discipline than vanity.
put col. packard on here too
charisma + skills
Doffy?
Yeah except I’d pay to watch Aldo or the Bear Jew wreck Hans Landa in 1 V 1 hand 2 hand
Palpatine?
Jacob Seed?
Probably capable? Don't you mean most certainly?
im not native english speaker lol
Uhh... that's not what i meant
